  • Getting tattoo with congenital heart defects?

Just a quick question if anyone's had any experience similar.. I was born with heart defects that were corrected at birth but am currently on medication for an irregular heart beat resulting from the scar tissue, one of my cardiologists told me I'm never allowed to get piercings or tattoos (I had several piercings done when I was younger and was just fine) and another cardiologist said it's definitely fine just make sure I'm somewhere that's sterile and clean and aware of my heart.. if I go to a reputable safe establishment there's no reason why I can't get a tattoo right?

  • Is there a huge difference in obtaining a BA in computer science compared to a BS?

I know the technical difference (arts vs science) but is there a true difference when the degree is completed, will it affect ability to get a job? I currently work full time and need to do an online school to be able to have enough time to complete my degree, and the college I d be interested in completing my bachelors from only offers computer science in a BA, no BS. So is this okay to go for? I want to get my CISSP cert after I get a degree and work in securtiy, will getting a BA prohibit this? thank you.

  • Can I get a tattoo when I have surgically corrected congenital heart defects?

Serious question about possible tattoo.. I was born with ASD VSD and coarctation of aorta. All of these were corrected at birth within 2 months and I had one ablation for an arrhythmia about 14 years ago. Knock on wood since then I've been healthy as I can be. I've wanted a tattoo for 6 years and I haven't changed the idea once so I think I'm ready to get it but want to know if it is safe for me to get one? My cardiologist seems to think there's no chance I can get one and assumes the worst will happen, I respect she's trying to keep me safe but I did my own research.. I read people who have corrected ASD and VSD have no extra risk from ordinary people for endocarditis (from tattoo infection that gets into blood and goes into heart I think) I also read a piercing is much higher risk than tattoo and I've had 5 piercings which 3 got infected and I was fine.. the place I'll be going to I know the owner he is very clean and is aware of my condition and will take extra measures to be clean.. so after reading this is there any reason why I can't get a tattoo?

  • Backed into co-workers car at 2mph very tiny scratch, he told me not to worry about it but I'm worried?

It was pouring rain and where we park at work there's sometimes not enough parking spots so people park behind each other, when I was backing out today I thought I had room and didn't and at like 2-3MPH I backed into his car - it sounded bad but I got out and noticed a tiny not really scratch but like a mark that can be wiped off and touched up with paint. my car had a nice scratch but that doesn't matter to me. He told me not to worry about it he didn't care as it wasn't bad at all. Should I be right to worry he may say something at a later date?

  • Should I follow my dreams, or settle for security?

I'm 20 years old and withdrew from university after my sophomore year because I was stressed with school and needed a break, I landed a job as an IT Support guy with a decent company and I somewhat enjoy it, work isn't awful pay is okay for someone my age with no expenses and much longer experience can lead to great opportunities employment wise in the future. But the other side of me wants to follow my dreams, no matter how slim they seem. The thing I've noticed while working at this job is the other people I work with are so passionate about it and all they do inside and outside of work is IT things, nothing else, so I thought to myself maybe if I did what I truly loved more than anything I can be as happy as they are, the only problem is the only thing I love more than anything is the game of Baseball, I wasn't physically gifted enough to play the game, being 5"3 and having numerous heart defects that prevent me from serious physical activity, but since I was 5 years old I ate, slept, and breathed baseball. It's the only thing I turn to and I feel like it's the only thing I can do in my life that will satisfy me and make me truly proud of my life. What I dream of is being a MLB GM but I understand there are only 30 of them so I should shoot for something a bit more realistic, like a scout or something along those lines but baseball is all I know. All in all my family tells me that giving up this gig to follow a shot in the dark dream is ridiculous and I'm torn.

  • Help with programming homework?

I had 3 labs for Programming and this last one I just can't get here's the guidelines:

Create a string ArrayList. Fill it with 10 strings using the set method. Use a for loop to put the arraylist in alphabetical order. (clue use compareTo) You will also need to determine the longest and shortest string. at the end print out the newly ordered list as well as the longest and shortest string.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Do not have to do the problem for me just give me a basis where to start) I know how to create the arraylist but the looping is where I have trouble.

  • Dog bit on tip of head, small puncture what should I do?

My one little boston terrier got into a fight with my american bulldog and the bulldog bit him on the top of the head and he has a small puncture on the top of his head, there was a little bit of blood but not a lot, I've cleaned it and put some neosporin on it and keep wiping it every now and then and there's like dabs of blood. He's acting fine and all my dogs have their rabies shots so I don't need to worry about that. Should my dog be fine or should I bring him to the vet?

  • I want join the military but I m medically unable, is there anything I can do with the military elsewhere?

I really want to join the military, like really bad. I love America and after what happened yesterday in Paris and Lebanon I just had anger flowing through my veins for the past 24 hours and I just want to kill every single savage that took the lives of these innocent people in these two countries. I ve wanted to join the military for years but I m not allowed because of my history with congenital heart defects, is there alternatives for someone like me who wants to join the military and fight but cant?

One of the managers at my job is leaving to go to a new job and I've had a thing for her for a while and we always flirt back and forth but she has a boyfriend and I don't want to come off as weird or creepy but would it be okay if I bought her flowers as a sort of a thank you for being my manager and wishing her good luck?

  • How to approach a girl you've never physically met/held a conversation with and get her number?

Okay basic question. I'm in college, a sophomore and there's this girl in one of my classes I thought was attractive, throughout high school and freshman year of college I was always awkward around girls and I don't really know why. People who see me think I'm a normal guy I'm not bad looking at all I just get shy and awkward. Basically i was wondering if I told whoever answers this my possible approach if it sounds right or not.. thanks. My approach would be to sit next to her in class and strike up a conversation, start by introducing myself ask her her major grade etc. Then compliment her on somethint (not physical attributes) was told that was creepy something along the lines of I like her shirt or shoes whatever then hopefully by the end of class if I'm comfortable enough and it seems like she was interested ask for her number and say something along the lines of "hey do you think I can get your number so I can take you out sometime?" That is all. Thanks in advance for responses.

  • Is a 3/4 sleeve tattoo too much for a first tattoo?

I came up with the idea of a 3/4 sleeve tattoo I wanted about 3-4 years ago and have had it drawn up on several occasions and put a bunch of thought into it to make sure its something that I wouldn't regret. I listened to advice from people I knew which was to get something drawn up wait a little while and if you still like it at that point then get it. Well I've had this tattoo in my head for 3-4 years now and I think I'm ready, I'm 19 about to turn 20 btw. My only question is a 3/4 sleeve too much for a first tattoo? Should I start off with something smaller to see how I tolerate the pain, etc.? From what I know someone said my underarm and elbow would be the worst pain but I think I could handle it.

  • Do I follow my dreams or go for stability?

I'm in college and as a freshman I'm obviously trying to figure out what I want to do with my life. I've thought of several things including stocks, computers, just plain business but I always come back to the thing I've dreamed of doing since I was 9, which is become a GM for a Major League Baseball team. I know there's only 30 in the whole world but this is the only thing I know and the only thing I am good at. I had a long talk with my parents and they said they'd support me financially when necessary, I have a plan somewhat which would start with me attempting to become a scout for a team out of college but idk if I should do that or continue with my degree that the starting average salary for is $70,000. That sounds great but I don't think I'd be happy.

  • Send high school transcripts for a college transfer?

I plan on applying to transfer for rutgers university for fall 2015, and currently have 19 college credits completed after my first semester in college. But they still require me to send my high school transcripts for admission consideration. I have an unofficial copy of my transcript, can I photocopy and send that? Or do I have to get official copy? If so how do I go about it?

  • Why do people say Eminem is OVERRATED? LONG -- Be intelligent don't troll.?

Why do people think Eminem is overrated? Is it because of DELUSIONAL Stans? I'm a Stan but I know a lot more about rap then 95% of Stans, and I do think Eminem is the GOAT. Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP, and Eminem Show are all classics of Em not giving a F***, Encore SUCKED, Relapse SUCKED, Recovery was OKAY, he had a message behind it and people weren't used to Marshall Mathers the rapper yet, people who can't accept the fact that he bettered his life in exchange for no more slim shady are blind if they think he sucks now, and MMLP2 was decent, a few decent songs such as Berzerk, Rap God, Bad Guy; and SHADYXV sucked BESIDES Guts Over Fear; Yes I hate how Eminem uses pop singers such as Sia; but listen to the lyrics in Guts over Fear, my personal favorite lines: "Enough to lift yourself up, when you feel like I felt

Cause I can't explain to y'all how dang exhausted my legs felt

Just having to balance my dang self

When on eggshells, I was made to walk

But thank you, ma, cause that gave me the

Strength to cause Shady-mania, so when they empty that stadium" - pretty much assuring he's no longer shady though he's glad Shady happened; and my personal favorite: "So this is for every kid who all's they ever did was dreamt of one day just getting accepted I represent him or her, anyone similar

You are the reason that I made this song

And everything you're scared to say don't be afraid to say no more" -

    My top 5 rappers ever:

    1. Eminem

    2. Biggie

    3. Big L

    4. Tupac

    5. Andre 3000

  • Need opinions on my gun control debate?

For my gun control debate tomorrow in philosophy I'm on the against gun control debate side and I have my arguments I want to make but I'm unsure if I've gone too far fetched with one of them. My topics of discussion were the NRA and Assault Rifles.

Now I have my statistics, quotes, etc. but the topic I don't know if I'm too far fetched on is this:

I used examples of PRIOR gun control. And what happened immediately after the gun control was implied. Now tell me if this is too far fetched or too touchy so I can remove it.

Prior to WW2 in 1938 Germany established gun control laws by using propaganda including children later a total of 13 million Jews and dissidents whom unable to defend themselves were exterminated. Like Germany in the 1930s the US congress attempted to take advantage of a tragic event such as Sandy Hook by promoting gun control laws and attempting to banish the NRA, whom promote the second amendment to allow the people the right to bear arms.

As Edmund Burke says “Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.”

  • Need help for gun control debate --?

I'm doing a debate in philosophy tomorrow and I am on the AGAINST gun control side. My group decided to aside me the topics of the NRA/Assault Rifles and now I have to think of ways the NRA/Assault Rifles are a must and have a positive impact on society. I obviously can use the argument of the constitutional right and how we need to be able to arm a militia if need be but that's like beating a dead horse.
