  • Cat Behavior Help?

So my friend has a 7 year old, gray, female American shorthair cat. I’ve only known the cat for about 9 months as well as my friend. I find that this cat has a very low tolerance for me, much lower then she used to. When I first met her, I could pick her up, she would lay on my lap for up to an hour at a time, very playful, etc. but that all changed when they moved houses. I swear the cat is still not used to the “new” house and I put quotes around it because they’ve been there about 4 months now and the first 2 weeks they moved there the cat was exploring and fine but none of her stuff got unpacked, the cats toys and everything got unpacked 2 weeks ago. Ever since they moved to the new house the cat has always been spending her days laying down, for like 2 months she’d only leave my friends room to eat and use the litter box. Now she actually spends time in other places in the house but her behavior is not where it used to be when they were at the old house. This is also the 3rd house this cat has been in with the same family. She doesn’t purr as much, she stopped coming to sit on people’s laps, she sort of stopped greeting people when they walked in the house, I got her to play once for like 10 minutes and that was it. Granted I’ve annoyed her a few times by playing a little too rough and picking her up but I never thought it was enough for her not to like me anymore or have her tolerance level with me be very low. What can I do to get her to like me again, if anything? Thx

Why are there not more shell ejecting airsoft guns on the market? Have any of you had experience with them? If so what are your pros and cons?

  • Work Zone Excessive Speed?

Is it legal for a construction company to buy their own photo radar camera, set it up at their work zone, and send speed violators fines by mail without it being linked to having a police officer on site or does the information of the violator need to be sent to the police department and the police department sends out the fine?

Can construction companies give you a fine for speeding through their work zone if no police officer is present?

  • Speed Enforcement?

    Hello everyone,

I’m in the planning stages of opening a wildfire mitigation company, much of our work will be done on the sides of roads and as you know work zones are very dangerous places to be especially when people don’t slow down. My question is is it legal for my traffic control team to use photo radar to target speeding vehicles through the work zone and then those photos will get stored in a data base which our company will issue a fine to the violator. Now the fine won’t go against their driving record as we have no police powers or anything however, if the same violator keeps violating the work zone then we will pass their information off to the police department. The purpose of this is to not tie up a police officer for the day or days that we will be working in specific areas and the fine that my company issues will be just a fine and hopefully get the message across that you are putting human lives in danger so you need to slow down. I should also mention that the photo radar stations will more than likely be mounted on a vehicle but the vehicle will be stationary and we will NOT be chasing down violators, if we happen not to catch them on camera then it’s their lucky day. If someone could shed some light on this and tell me how to proceed or tell me if this is even legal it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

  • Traffic Laws?

    Hello everyone,

My question is if I’m working on the side of the road is it legal for me to redirect traffic around me? That may include traffic traveling in the opposite lane for a short period of time, maybe no more than 150 feet at any given time. Essentially we would be moving down the road as the day goes on so we’d be like a “moving roadblock” in a sense. I will have an employee activity monitoring traffic at all times to best assist motorists while passing through my work zone. I’m just wondering if it is legal for me to do, I typically see a lot of landscaping companies and construction companies doing something similar but I’m not sure if they need a permit to do that or not. If you don’t have my answers can you please redirect me to a place where I can find them?

  • Drone vs RC Aircraft?

At what point does an rc aircraft become a done? Some rc aircraft have a camera in the cockpit that gives the pilot a pilot’s point of view but in doing so the pilot doesn’t have visual line of sight with the aircraft. Some rc aircraft also have a range to fly out of sight of the pilot so at what point does an rc aircraft become a drone or does it not at all?  Thanks in advance.

  • Emergency Vehicle Lifespan?

At what point are emergency vehicles not allowed to be used for their intended purposes? Is there a standard? Here on the east coast of the U.S. we still have fire trucks being used that are 40 years old, they’re not front line response vehicles but they are used in reserve status but they’re not NFPA compliant. I’ve read in a few ads for used fire trucks that the person or department selling it is selling it because it can no longer serve as an emergency vehicle. I’ve also heard of companies purchasing old fire trucks to use for fire protection on a farm and things like that so it’s kind of confusing because there are no firefighters purchasing the trucks for a fire department but you have a farmer purchasing a 30 year old truck for fire protection uses on his farm even though the seller stated that the vehicles can’t be used for emergency purposes anymore. Thanks for the info in advance.

  • What is the difference in these machines?

Can someone explain to me what the difference between a Motor Grader is and a Wheeled Scraper? To me they seem to do the same job and after a few google searches I can’t really find anything showing me what the difference is between them. If someone could explain it it would be greatly appreciated.

  • How would this work?

If I start a company to sell a product I created and I contract out to get it manufactured is it still my product?  For example if I go to a manufacturing company and ask them to build my product so I can sell it. Is it still considered Company ABC’s product or is it considered the manufacturing company’s product? So would because I don’t have the resources to manufacture the product myself I’d have to contract out to have someone make it but I’m not sure if I can still say the product is mine or not. Please help.

  • Dual License Plates?

So I live in Rhode Island and I recently bought an Audi A3. I’m trying to figure out if it is legal to have both the State Issued License Plates as well as European Style Plates on my car. The European ones would be for decoration only and the State Issued Plates would serve their purpose. Is this legal? Where can I find more information on this?

  • Car interior?

I have a 2016 Audi A3, it’s silver on the outside and black on the inside. I’m trying to find a two tone seat cover to put in there, what color combinations would look good to match the silver exterior?  I’ll take all answers whether they are two tone or solid color, just kinda looking to change it up. Oh and the seats now are Black Leather.

    Thanks in Advance!!

  • Marine Navigation Lights?

Out of curiosity do the Red and Green Side lights and White rear light have to be steady burn?  Can they be flashing? I feel like flashing would make them more of an attention grabber. I know there were some aircraft in the 1950s that had a switch to make their navigation lights change from flashing to steady burn. Is there a law against flashing navigation lights for boaters?  Thanks in advance.

  • How much trouble can I get in?

My friend uses edibles to calm her down with anxiety but doesn’t have a medical card to use them. How much trouble can I get in if I allow her to have an edible on her in my car and I would be the driver? Like what’s the least that could happen and what’s the most that could happen? The edible would be in her purse. Thanks for taking the time to answer.  I also live in Rhode Island, USA

  • Public vs. Private Police?

I was going through my grandfather’s police memorabilia after he passed away and I found a patch and a badge that both said private police in English with other words in Latin I believe. Can someone tell me the difference between Public and Private Police?  Are private police just the same thing as security guards except with police powers? What privileges do private police have that’s different from public police or security guards?  Thanks in advance!

  • Employee Rights?

Can a company force an employee to spend a minimum amount of time with that company before allowing them to leave?

For example the military has a contract with you that says you have to serve for a minimum of 4 years can a business operate under the same principle? Instead of 4 years can a company have a contract with you stating you need to fill 1 year before you’re allowed to leave so the training you receive can be worth it and the company doesn’t lose money on you?

If you could provide supporting evidence it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!
