Whenever i like someone im really shy at first then when i think the girl likes me i become super clingy (the worst part is they never even like me). I have very bad attachment and abandonment issues. In the future, how do i prevent myself from getting attached/clingy?

Kind of a weird question but im just wondering if i sound like someone you would date because i always get friendzoned and ive only ever been in one relationship (a long distance one where i got cheated on). Also i recently turned 17. Im not super talkative usually, it takes me a while to warm up to people and feel comfortable with them. I get picked on a lot by my friends at school and i have a dad who is an alcoholic and gambling addict. I play quite a bit of video games (zelda, smash bros, mass effect, resident evil, halo, mass effect mostly) and i watch some anime but not a whole lot. Im not a superconfident guy and i dont gave great grades. I always treat girls right and even when im mad i try to be calm to them. I get attached very easily and i can make the mistake of someone just being kind as them flirting. I dont like people i like meeting my friends or family, my friends always mess with my relationships and that stuff and i dont trust my parents. Im not very flirty at first and Ive never kissed a girl so its something i am scared to do. I dont really care that much about sex and that stuff, i just enjoy having someone i care about who i can talk to. So do i sound like someone you date or just friendzone? Thanks for the answer :)

I dont wanna go on a huge rant so i will just say my dad is an alcoholic, gambling addict. He doesnt care about anyone but himself and yells and freaks out aout the smallest things. Him and my mom always fight and he always does whatever he can to make me feel like crap and tells me im a f***up and never gonna be sucessful. Every holiday he ruins it because he always gets mad, I cried myself to sleep on christmas eve. I was gonna see a therapist about this and some other stuff but he found out and started acting better so i would change my mind and cancel it. Then the day after the appointment would have been he went back to his old self. How do i get him out of my life because i cant take it anymore, the only solution i see is to kill myself to end it. Im being completely serious BTW. Also, grades are being sent home next week and i did really bad (mostly Cs, a few Bs and an F) because i was constantly stressed out and depressed. He will freak out and yell at me for literally hours every night for atleast a week and i cant deal with that. I go to a school thats far away with friends ive known since first grade and my dad gets mad because he thinks if i cant get perfect grades then him and my mom driving me there is a waste of time, i even told my mom to let me go to a school thats closer so my dad wouldnt be able to yell at me, but, she wouldnt let me. What am i supposed to do about my f***up of a dad?

Im 17. Ever since i was just little, my dad has been an ***. He is an alcoholic and has a terrible gambling addiction, and i think he has bipolar disorder. Even when I was little, if i made the smallest mistake he would yell at me and cuss at me. In middle school I was extremely depressed, I barely had any friends and got picked on all the time, I stop trying in school and when my dad saw my grades he always freaked out, except he would yell for hours and hours week after week. He had no idea i was depressed or anything. Also, ever since i was in about 5th grade, my parents have fought alot. In the last 2 years, its become a daily thing, alot of the time I can't sleep at night because of it. He always tells me im a f***up and im never gonna be anything, I used to be nice to him, but, now when he asks me to help him with things I dont help. Ever since i was about 12 ive never been a happy person and in the last few months, ive been extremely depressed and was failing a bunch of classes so I asked my mom to let me go to a therapist and she made an appointment for a few weeks later. My dad never found out till 2 days before when we got a phone call from them and talked me out of going, then acted nice until the day after the appointment was supposed to be and now hes back to his old self. Ive told my mom to divorce him but she wont because she says it takes alot of time. Me and him have gotten in fist fights because of him being a dick and me standing up for myself. Hes unemployed and honestly has nothing to live for. Its terrible but ive had dreams where my dad died and afterwards everyone in the family is happier. Its so messed up but the time i spend with him is the time i resent the most, I no longer consider him my father anymore. How do i get him out of my life and.or any other advice?

Im a guy BTW. Iv'e known her 4 over a year and had a huge (and obsessive) crush on her 4 a long time, she knew i liked her but never made a move or anything to show she liked me back so i assumed she didnt and gave up eventually. After that she helped me through my first (and only) break-up, helped me with family issues, etc. She's the only person I completely trust and she knows all my secrets. She isnt a very open person so I dont know all of hers but she has told me a few of them. I just dont get it, the only way i can meet girls is either on the internet (which is a terrible idea) and thru friends. Im naturally a shy person ad Iv'e been trying to be more outgoing, but, I don't get how some guys can see a girl and start a conversation without being nervous and without seeming weird or anything like that.

Every time I like a girl, they always and i mean ALWAYS see me as just a friend. I get too shy and nervous to tell them how i feel and as i get more and more attached, they begin dating some a**hole and i just get hurt. Only time it didnt happen was with my ex-gf. I have only had one girlfriend (long distance) and it started it off as some of the happiest days of my life, but, eventually we grew apart because she was always busy, I thought about her all day every day, we rarely got to talk and after almost 4 months, she became less busy and our relationship seemed to be improving and we started talking every day again and then she told me she cheated on me, we broke up. It took me months to get over her. After i finally got over her my friend tried hooking me up with this girl and both me and him really thought she liked me, she just saw me as a friend. I really want a girlfriend and to fall in love and when I see other people in relationships and all happy i want to feel how they feel, but, no matter how hard i try i cant get it to work. What do i do? Should i just give up?

She still has a bf and i didnt think my feelings were noticeable, but, one of my friends who was sitting us while talking said "u want that p***y", i just made a joke to cover itup. What do i do? I dont like anyone else and my feelings for her are growing more and more.

Whenever my friend find out anything about my relationships i get made fun of, my ex-gf was a little chubby so they kept saying she was fat and my friend photoshopped her head on a cow. Then i went on a date about a week ago, i told one friend about it and they all found out and made fun of me cuz i did the cheesy "arm stretch on shoulder" thing and cuz she has short hair so one guy (who isnt even my friend) went around telling everyone (including strangers) that i went on a date with a guy. How do i get them to knock it the f**k off?

For xbox360 (i have Halo 3 and 4, but, not Reach) i only have 3 controllers and i dont currently have xbox live (but i may be getting it in the future) also since i have no external hard-drive i cant normally record videos on my xbox360 for this. I do have an old school xbox with 3 controllers (along with halo CE and halo 2). Is there anything I can do to get around these things and still make a decent machinima?

Im 16 and so is she. Ive never been very good with girls and always get friendzoned. I have had one gf, it was long distance and she cheated on me. Never even kissed a girl before. So i met this girl thru a friend and she goes to a different school. me, her, my friend and his gf hung a few days after we started talking. I found out she thinks i look cute and she knows im interested in her. Over the 2 weeks ive known her, we have talked alot and i found out we have alot in common so i asked her on a date. We saw a movie, she ran really late so we had to see it at another time, but, I still payed for everything cuz i wanted to show her im a gentleman and i care about her.

During the movie, I put my arms around her shoulders and she moved close to me and by the end of the movie had her head resting against me. We talked a little and i gave her a hug when i left. Based on what happened, me (and everyone who asked about the date) thought she was really into me. Yesterday i texted her, and she never replied, i thought she was maybe just busy and then i started getting paranoid about it. I get attached to easily and because of how good i thought the night went ive started getting really attached. I asked the friend who i met her through what she said to him about the date, she said i would make a better friend then BF. I was so sure she liked me and i spent like $40 on the movie and tried so hard for her. What am i supposed to do? None of this makes sense to me and idk what to do!! please help me.
