Tax deduction apply on existing qualified healthcare?
Will my family get the same tax credit that people are getting when they are buying insurance from the government website? My wife son and I are currently covered under a qualified plan that was issued after 2010 and meets all the new regulations (it is not grandfathered). I looked at the income brackets for my family size and I qualify for a tax deduction...The online support for healthcare.gov didn't have a clue.
4 AnswersUnited States7 years agoWhat should I do to fill in exhaust fan hole in my kitchen?
First off here is a pic....
http://s189.beta.photobucket.com/user/nickolas233/...
My main question is what should I do with the 14" diameter hole left in the ceiling once I pull out old exhaust fan. Do I use some type of drywall or board backing method to patch it? It's a solid metal cylinder up to atmosphere it appears, so I don't think plaster board with cleats will work. The house was built in 56 so it's all plaster. Any advise you can give me would be appreciated.
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoSheathing Reroof, few general questions?
Thanks in advanced for any advice. I have a 400 sq ft workshop that needs some of the old osb replaced. There was a big camphor tree above the workshop and the previous owner let leaves sit on the roof for years and eventfully the leaves created soil and made the osb moist and expand and rot.
I was going to replace it with plywood. My question is can I just take out the rotted osb piece by piece and replace with the new plywood as it was laid out previous? I am in Florida and I realize that I will need spacers between the plywood sheets. I will be working mostly by myself and I am trying to save a few bucks doing this on my own. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks so much.
5 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)8 years agoDoes anyone know what type of palm this is?
Having trouble deciding what type of palm this is. My neighbor gave it to me. Want to make sure I plant it in a spot that makes sense. Once I know what type it is I can plant accordingly.

2 AnswersGarden & Landscape9 years agoWiring exhaust Fan, need some advice?
Thanks in advanced for your advice. I am a new homeowner trying to make some updates and running out of money so i'm trying to do this myself. The home was built in the 50's and 1 owner and they did not have an exhaust fan in the bathroom so I am looking to put one in. The electrical has been updated to current code about 6 years ago. So there is a new main panel with current type breakers that are used now a days, etc...
I am going to install a 15amp single pull in my main breaker (there are two slots left) and run the power to the fan from that. I have installed a breaker before and understand how to do that. My question has to do with connecting the existing light switch circuit with the new exhaust fan circuit at the switch so they both come on when the switch is flipped.
When I run the cable from the exhaust fan receptacle to the existing switch that powers the light will I just tie in in the switch box? Tie in white to white, ground to ground and then black to each side of the switch? is this safe and will it work? Thanks again for your help.

2 AnswersOther - Cars & Transportation9 years agoPeeled out in sand by mistake got busted?
Ok so this morning I got a ticket for speeding. I do speed alot and have had about 4 tickets in the last 3-4 years, i admit that. So the cop pulled me over wrote me up for 60 in a 45 and gave me the ticket. I was kind of pissed and just mumbled yes sir and would not really look at him and then I just kind of chucked the ticket to the side after i signed it and he gave it back to me. I live in a beach area and where he pulled me over was sand and gravel. My 2wd pickup truck back tires were in the sand. So I give it some gas and it does not catch right and peels out some, keep in mind my drive wheel is in the sand. So he pulls me back over and writes me ANOTHER frickin ticket for peeling out. He said I threw the ticket to the side and I was mad and peeled out in anger. I told him I thought it was sand and it spun but he wasn't hearing it and wrote me up another 161.00 ticket.
I went back and took a pic of where i took off from so I would have some proof that I was in sand.

Do you think I should just pay it or fight it? I really WAS NOT trying to peel out it just kind of happened after it caught in the sand, but once I started peeling out I really didn't stop. I was getting back onto a highway after all. I dunno if it's worth the time to fight. What do you think?

3 AnswersFootball (American)9 years agoBuilding small wooden fence..gate question?
I am building a small wooden fence from the side of my house to my neighbors fence on both sides of my house to make my backyard dog friendly. I understand all the basics of putting the fence in except for one thing...and maybe this would work itself out when I started but I wanted to put it out there to see if anyone had any advice.
When i'm setting the post for the gates how far apart should my post be for a 48" gate? I want to make sure it has proper swing as well as matches up with the other fence slats.
I am using basic dog eared 6' fence slats 8' Post and 2x4 runners. Thanks in advanced for any help!

5 AnswersFord9 years agoKeep my refund? Will the IRS let me?
I owe the IRS like 3k from last year because I had a claim from the oil spill and used the money to keep my family afloat through that tough time and never saved the money to pay the taxes on the payment. This year I did better with my job and I have an estimated refund of about $3,500.00. My question is will the IRS seize my refund to pay the taxes owed from last year, or will they allow me to keep the refund and stay on the payment plan that I am on now. The cash would be a blessing to loosen up how tight things are with the wife and kids. Thanks is advanced for your answers.
2 AnswersUnited States9 years agoWhy did Whoopi say this on Wendy Williams show?
Whoopi Goldberg was on the Wendy Williams show. Wendy asked her if she would eat fried chicken on "The View" set. She said "oh yes" all nonchalant. Then Wendy asked her if she would eat watermelon on set and she said no all serious. I don't get this? Does this have to do with racism on the set?
