So I am helping a friend. he has this tape...

and we need to covert it to a digital file without using the camera it was taped on... again, we have no access to the camcorder. We were looking for a miniDV player that also hooks up to a computers and will do the transfer for us. Do you have any ideas?

So I have built a new system (#1) with all new parts .. no hard drive though... and I want to take the hard drive out of my slower rig (#2) that has Vista on it and place it into system #1...

I know when i boot up system 1 with system's 2 hard drive in it, it is going to give me the blue screen of death but what if i backed up system 2's hard drive and booted off of the CD in system #1... will it let me format system 2's hard drive and reload windows on it, in an effort to have it detect the new motherboard? Also will Microsoft be OK with letting me use my license again? I am using the same hard drive just changing the hard ware it is connected to...

So my buddie and are going to be playing some shows with dueling acoustic guitars and we wanted each of our guitars to sound different so they wouldn't blend together. We saw this other pair of acoustic guitars play at the bar and one had steal strings on it. They sounded awesome but I didn't know if it was from the steal strings or their petal set up...

Has anyone used steal stings on an acoustic guitar and did it sound different, cool or just scary? - If you haven't, how do you think it would sound or is there another way to not have two acoustic guitars sound the same..

So i found my GH1 and wanted to play it on my PS3 and my wireless controllers for GH3 are no working. The sensor portion that plugs into the PS3 is not lighting up, like it is not recognizing it. Is there some sort of fix for this?
