תפילת תשובה צדקה גאולה
I am Jewish and deeply proud of being a Jew but don't believe giving Jews labels is good (like Reform), and I don't affiliate with any "movement." I am classically trained on the piano and love playing Chopin and Bach especially, and Beethoven also sometimes. I love going outside to be at peace.
Orthodox Jews: Why does Leviticus Chapter 15 verses 16 and 18 have God mentioning a man alone and then a man and a woman correspondingly?
Verse 16 mentions a man by himself being unclean until the evening. Verse 18 mentions a man being unclean with a woman until the evening.
Why wouldn't this imply that Pgam HaBrit is not a severe, grave sin? It seems like God is not condemning it here.
I am learning as a Jew. Thank you in advance.

Are you aware that this is a huge blessing for Jews on Pesach?
Shalom.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 month agoChristians: Why do many Christians make the argument against Jews- "you follow the letter of the law, not the spirit of the law?"?
In my opinion, this argument is very flawed. First, we have much "spirit" in our law, that's why we pray to God everyday and connect to Him continuously. Second, our "letter of the law" means we take seriously what God says, teaches, and commands us. It does not mean we don't have a "spirit" aspect to it. That's the very essence of Judaism- to elevate our spirits.
We also have a scroll that is proven to be divine, so yes, we have the letter of the law, but the law we follow always has a spirit aspect to it. Would King David or Job or Moses have been able to cry out to God without a clean spirit or just following the "letter" of Torah? No, absolutely not
I would love your input on this. Thank you.

Was that candlelighting time (or sunset) based off the time it was at The Beit Hamikdash, or where Adam and Eve were in Gan Eden, olam haze?
Thank you and Chag Semeach.
Religion & Spirituality1 month agoCan I broil a whole chicken in my broiler under my oven at 525 degrees?
I have perfected small cuts of chicken. Will broiling a chicken work? I have a separate broiler section under my my oven. If this will work, will something simple like sweet baby rays sauce work (I used that on my small cuts of chicken). Also, do you have any advice for a good taste, such as when to put on the sauce?
Thank you!
5 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 month agoHow to avoid undercooked rice? ?
I always seem to have undercooked rice at the end. How can I get a softer rice, especially white rice like at chinese restaurants?
If it helps, I have no pot covers and add the right ratios, have the right temperatures, etc. Should I just add significantly more water?
Thanks my fellow cooks!

6 AnswersCooking & Recipes2 months agoWhy does coffee taste better in the morning before I have anything to eat?
I notice even strong, black coffee (any coffee as well) tastes much more palatable in the morning than later in the day or at night. Why is this? Does the food and other drinks make the coffee taste worse?
Thanks!
1 AnswerNon-Alcoholic Drinks2 months agoWhy are there so many "technicians" that really have no clue what they're doing?
I live in a private company headquarters, and they say they hire reasonable technicians. A guy comes in today to fix the cable box.He replaces the box he received from Comcast and leaves with the box not functioning. He also replaced the remote, which doesn't even work with my TV, so now I can't use internet either. Go figure.
I know he wasn't Comcast, but I still think it's ridiculous that a paid technician would literally get paid to mess up our TV even more and replace perfectly working equipment.
Better yet, why do companies hire such incapible and underqualified "techs?" It's just sad if you ask me.
Thanks for your input.
