In this week's Glee, Gwyneth Paltrow wore glass teardrop earrings and I'm having some trouble finding some like them. Anyone know where I can find earrings like these:

  • Green colored drinks for a wedding fountain?

I have a friend looking to serve mint green colored drinks in a fountain at a wedding. It cannot have ice cream. Any thoughts?

I was thinking maybe limeade with 7-up, but it seems really...lime-y. No alcohol.

  • Wisdom tooth extraction during pregnancy?

I'm about 17 weeks pregnant and will be having my wisdom teeth pulled next week. They're infected, and I know that this is the best option for both me and the baby, but I'm still nervous and a little panicky. I'm going to be given a local anesthetic. I had a few teeth removed today under a local and it wasn't completely horrible, but I was having some trouble breathing and came very near to having a full-blown panic attack at one point.

I've been told that sometimes dentists have to use your chest as leverage against the teeth-is this bull? This wouldn't ever happen with a pregnant woman, right? I'm just finding myself becoming more and more anxious about this procedure and was hoping someone could alleviate my fears.

Also, is it safe to have nitrous oxide during the second trimester? Someone told me it was, and I was looking it up and getting conflicting answers. I will of course talk to my dentist (who already knows I'm pregnant), but I was thinking maybe that would help with my panicking.

  • Any Catholics gotten Penance that was too hard?

I have been feeling a strong calling to go to Confession. It has, however, been 8 years since my last confession. Honestly, I'm worried about being able to complete my Penance. Has anyone here gone to Confession and been given a Penance they didn't really feel like they were able to do?

Obviously, you were physically capable of it, but, well, did your pride prevent you from doing it? I know it's awful that I'm concerned about pride, but I'm also afraid of losing people I love because I haven't been entirely forthcoming and I'm afraid the priest will tell me that I have to tell them...

  • Where to buy inexpensive shades?

I'm looking to buy some window shades (not drapes, but opaque or semi-opaque shades). My windows are 35in tall and 70in wide. Does anyone know where I could look to find something without breaking the bank?

  • TriForce: Worth the cost?

My cats recently became indoor/outdoor pets when my husband and I moved into a place with a yard. Now, they have fleas! We've tried advantage, and love it, but we just don't have the money to pay for it for all 3 cats! I've looked up flea products, and TriForce and Capstar seem to be the most respected for the price. Does anyone have personal experience with either? I'm looking for both good and bad reviews.

Also, is there some sort of website where I can get consumer reviews on pet products?

  • Husband's temper and a newborn?

Okay, so since we had the baby, my husband has been like Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde! He's wonderful and amazing when the baby is asleep and hubby's had enough sleep and I need help, but when baby cries or dh is tired, he gets angry. I mean, I've handed him the baby and had him tell ds "shut up" and "you're fine!" and "stop!" ... DH expressed concern that he sees ds sometimes as more of an annoyance than a person...

I know my hubby has some temper issues, but he's always been able to control them in the past. I'm not concerned about him hurting the baby physically-he's not a physical temper sort of guy- but I am really concerned about the baby not feeling secure. I mean, he's getting yelled at!

I try to keep the baby whenever DH is tired, but I can't always guess when he's going to cry, and I guess I feel like dh has to learn to deal with it-what if something happens to me? What if I need to leave ds with dh for a while? Sometimes, babies cry! How do I help my hubby work through this?

Just to make note, he DOES love our son. He's just having adjustment troubles that are concerning me a LOT.

My husband doesn't START with saying shut up, and in fact, it's very rare that he does actually yell at the baby. Usually, it's his tone of voice. It's when he gets REALLY frustrated. And I AM there to help when I can. Please try not to judge his entire parenting ability based on this. He works EXTREMELY hard and EXTREMELY long shifts to take care of us, and he's trying so hard! He feels really guilty and we're trying to work on it together, but I was hoping for additional advice. He can be great with our son, honestly, but crying really upsets him.

  • Am I Having Labor Contractions?

Okay, ladies, help me out! I'm 40w5d pregnant, and I think I may have experienced a labor contraction just a moment ago, but I'm not sure! I had a sharp pain that started and was centralized near my pelvis, but it definitely spread through my gut. It felt like an extremely painful and intense menstrual cramp, and made me really feel like I had to go to the restroom (1 and 2) but I was also terrified of going to the restroom because it hurt so bad!

I know to check and feel if my uterus feels hard when I think I'm having a contraction, and it was definitely tight.

The other thing is, right before it started, my baby moved. Could this just be an unfortunate combination of an especially painful baby movement with a Braxton-Hicks contraction?

The pain lasted about 30 seconds and then was gone, and I haven't felt another in approximately 10 minutes. Could I be feeling the beginning of labor pains?

  • Looking for a website with simple but nice mythical creatures art?

Hey, so I'm trying to decorate my unborn son's nursery, and my husband is really into science fiction and fantasy, so we got this nice light switch cover of a knight and a maiden, and I am a decent artist and got these little canvases and was going to paint a few mythical creatures on them.

My question is: for inspiration (I'm not a fantasy buff at all), where could I go to find some SIMPLE pictures of griffins, centaurs and the like? I need to make sure that it's something I could paint without tearing my hair out. I also would like to find a website that doesn't have insanely dark artwork. I need relatively happy inspiration, as it's going to be in a nursery.

    Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Help me get some sleep! This baby is keeping me up!!?

I'm 31 weeks pregnant, and this baby is driving me crazy! Every morning, around 4am, he/she starts hiccuping! Not cute baby hiccuping but really strong, constant, distracting, annoying hiccuping! I've tried drinking water, eating, and of course, rolling around constantly. I've made soothing noises, I've poked my tummy, and I just don't know what to do! It lasts so long, I almost never get back to sleep until 6!

Does anyone have experience or advice regarding how to keep the baby hiccuping down? Is it something I'm eating or not eating enough of? Is it something I'm doing or not doing? Is there something I can do to relieve it?!?

Please!!! If you have advice, I need it now! I wake up in the mornings exhausted and with a huge splitting migrane! Every morning! I love this baby, but it's running me ragged!!

    Thank you!!

  • Thoughts on Genevieve/Nathaniel?

I'm 5 months pregnant with our first, and my husband and I aren't going to find out the sex until the baby graces us with his/her presence. In the meantime, we've been debating constantly about baby names.

What do you think of these?

    For a girl:

    Genevieve (Evie) Michelle

    Taylor Michelle

    For a boy:

    Nathaniel (Nathan) David

    Keenan David

    Edward David

I love the nickname Nathan, but he hates it, because of someone he once knew. I feel like once it's our son's name, that's all it will be to him, but I worry about whether he will have hangups. Any advice? Am I being too pushy?
