  • Need a place to stay...best place to search?

My family is looking for a new place to rent, but so far we have come up empty handed on Craigslist. I've thought about booking an extended stay hotel, but the only ones that have a kitchen and fridge are WAY too expensive, especially since we will need two rooms.

Any suggestions on where to look? I need at least a 3 bedroom house (if possible) in the Knoxville vicinity. Exact location is only somewhat important, as long as it's not in Maryville/Alcoa, Oak Ridge, Lenoir City, or Strawberry Plains (or out in the boonies).

    Any suggestions are welcome!!! Thanks!

  • My Sharp Aquos TV won't recognize any input!?

I have a Sharp Aquos TV that is roughly 3 years old. My husband turned it on this morning and it worked fine! But then, about 3 hours later, I turned it on to play a movie on our PS3, and there was no signal. No error message, nothing. It acted like everything was fine, except it did not recognize that there was anything plugged up. Simply a black screen. Any suggestions on how to fix this? I'd like to salvage it because its a great TV, and would love to hand it down to my mother in law! TIA!

  • Stopping my brother in law from changing settings!?

I have our computer set to require a password on wake up. But my brother in law keeps changing it! In order for him to play his games, he has to be signed into the admin account (so I or my husband put the password in for him) but I still don't want him to be able to just get into the admin account whenever he wants. Is there a way to make it where those settings require the input of the password to be changed? If not, is there a way that he could still play his games (my husband and he share an account on MMOs) without needing to be signed into the admin account?

  • Budgeting, married, and a bit frazzled.?

My husband and I have been married now for a little over 7 months, and we've been together for 2 years. Everything has been good, married life has been interesting, and though we have our fights, we always work them out and can usually come to an agreement that works and actually gets put to use.

Except when it comes to money. I stress A LOT about money, possibly because I was raised in a relatively well off family and then had to learn VERY quickly to live on my own, with my own money. I've never been in a situation where I've had to worry about being out on the street, but I've come close.

My husband says he stresses about it as well, mainly because he is supposed to be the provider of the family. Which is understandable, that is how he was raised.

My biggest problem is that when we DO talk about it, and say we're going to try to save money, it NEVER happens. No matter what I say/do!!!

We don't make much in the first place, so the most we usually have left over every week is a few dollars, maybe up to $20. And even though that is not much, every dollar counts when you're trying to save money. But it always disappears. We always end up with NOTHING.

Part of it was that he was buying sodas and chips and stuff on his way to or from work, which has stopped. But it still disappears. He seems to think if the money is there, it needs to or can be spent. That if we have the money, we should/can use it. Even if its just a trip to the McDonald's for some dollar menu, or Taco Bell for some of their cheap stuff.

I can't seem to make him understand why we should save everything we can for emergencies (blew a tire on our car a few weeks ago and had to have my MOTHER pay to get it fixed) and for unexpected bills (our electric bill ranges anywhere from 150 one month to 350 the next).

I have tried everything, but cannot figure out how to make him understand.

    PLEASE HELP!

  • Quick and Easy Work Day Lunches?

My husband works a M-F job, which is awesome, but has to be in at 6 am, which sucks. He is not a morning person, and neither am I, so making sure he has a lunch and a grab and go breakfast is kind of hard!

I'm hoping someone here might have ideas on things I could make at the beginning of the week and then freeze for him to nuke in the mornings (and maybe for lunch too), as well as things that I could make maybe the night before (besides sandwiches) that he could just grab and go to work with for lunch.

There have been many a time when he has been so tired that he forgets to grab anything to take with him and he ends up feeling ill and gets horrible migraines. I know I could make sandwiches the night before, or send him with leftovers, but I want something creative and simple, that I could fix the whole week's worth in advance when possible. With motherhood and wifely duties, it's kind of hard sometimes to remember everything, so making sure my husband has a good lunch is something that should be marked off the list early on in the week so we don't stress about it.

    Thanks!

  • Why does my cat nibble my fingers when she cleans my hand?

When my cat cleans my hand, sometimes she will nibble on my fingers. I am not petting her or otherwise stimulating her, so I know its not that she is overly stimulated. She is about a year and a half, and does it to me and my husband, as well as our daughter on occasion. It doesn't usually HURT just a little uncomfortable at times.

    Any tips?
