Hello Everyone. I am trying to connect my laptop to the internet. (I've tried both Wireless AND the Land line connection) The internet works on all the other computers in the home.

I keep getting the warning (upon trying to connect) saying "Limited or no connectivity"

When I looked up my ip-address it says that its all 0's

I am on a Toshiba laptop, Running Windows XP and the internet provider is Cogeco.

I have tried doing Run>cmd>ipconfig /release AND Run>cmd>ipconfig /renew

When I do, I get this warning;

"An error occurred while renewing interface Wireless Network Connection: The RPC server is unavailable."

I also can't find my Disk's that came with my laptop (the Drivers and things) My parents are HORRIBLE for throwing things our randomly.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. My Hotmail account has started sending Spam to people who are NOT on my email list.

I keep getting emails from "postmaster@mail.hotmail.com" saying that "Delivery Status Notification (Failure)‏"

I get anywhere from 10-20 a DAY.

It dodoesn'teem to send anything to people on my email list.

I have tried;

Scanning for Virus's with AVG , SpyBot & Ad-Aware

after running all 3 programs I then Changed My Password to Hotmail.

Changed my Security Question

Added an Alternate Email address.

I have both a Desk top Computer AND a Lap Top comuter.

None of that has worked so far.

I REALLY don't want to change my email address as I have it on my business cards (that i have just received 2 weeks ago and spent a lot of money on)

Please help.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated !!!

My parents have decided that instead of christmas gifts we are going to go on a vacation in January. we have only been to Florida, so we don't have much experience researching vacation destinations.

A Cruise is out of the question for my father. There is just the 3 of us, and I am over 21.

We are thinking, Bahamas... or maybe Barbados, St. Lucia... but are open to other suggestions.

Here are what we are looking for...

1) Going in January... dates are open, but we are looking for warm weather.

2) We will be flying out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada out of the Toronto Pearson International Airport

3) **All Inclusive (including booze and food) and entertainment, like clubs and shows

4) *** Hopefully a room that has at least a separate living area with a pull out couch as BOTH my parents snore, or a cheap seperate, 2nd room

5) atleast 4 stars

6) Lots to do, activities, sights to see, snorkeling, swiming with dolphens, horse back riding on the beach, waterfalls, shopping, things like that.

I'll stop there as i dont want to limit your suggestions.

I was having trouble with my PC Desktop, getting the Blue Screen of Death, so I reformated it - it is Windows XP- and re-installed all my programs and it has been running AMAZING for the last week.

Saturday Evening i put my computer on Standby or Sleep (I can't remember which one) as I was going out for dinner and knew i was going to be using it again in an hour. When i came back i couldnt get it to come back on and nothing would show on the monitor.

I forced shut it off, then waited a minute and tried to re-boot it, and it would give 4 beeps (one long and 3 short) and the fan would run like crazy, but nothing would happen.

I took it into future shop (an electronics store in Canada) the next morning ~ hoping it would fix it self over night lol ~ They called me back today and said that the Memory was fried, and that ment that I ALSO Have replace the CPU and the RAM. Is that True?

I could see maybe the CPU but i wouldn't think the RAM would need replacing. Are they just trying to get more $$ out of me?

All of those parts would cost me about $400 here in Canada (for good ones anyway) Plus I have already payed them $40 to LOOK at the thing to find out what is wrong and would have to pay them $80-$100 just to install the new hardware.

So do you need to replace the CPU and RAM normally when you replace the Memory or do you think they are trying to take the "GIRL who doesnt understand computers" for more cash?

Hello, I live in Kingston Canada, and it is winter here and getting into the Negative 20 Degrees Celsius with lots of Snow on the ground.

We noticed a few weeks ago that their was a build up of Condensation in many spots on the ceiling of the garage, and it is causing damage.

We went up into the attic to see if there was anything going on Above the rceiling of the garage. There is insulation above the ceilings of the actual HOUSE, but NO insulation above the Garage.

We could not get out onto the roof of the garage as there was a deep slope down to it. But From what we could see there was no condensation or moisture of any kind.

Any thoughts on what could be causing the condensation/moisture on the ceiling of the garage? And what we could do to fix it?

We are fairly new to this home.

Hey guys, i had wanted to make this appatizer for a dinner i'm making. It's called Herbed Ricotta Cheese Bundles.

So i have 2 questions...

1) the problem is that the town i live in only has a small grocery store, there was absolutely no Knorr Fine Herb Soup Mix to be found, and nothing similar.

~ The Herb Soup Mix, i would think, is just used to add a flavour to the Spinach and the ricotta cheese filling. I have ClubHouse Sald Herbs; Fine Herbs Spices. and was thinking of adding some of that to the mixture as a substiute to add some flavour.

*** Do you think that would work? if so how much Spices? if you have ANY other suggestions of what to add to the Spinach and Ricotta to add flavour instead i would GREATLY Appreciate it.

2) This isnt as important, but i'm new'ish to cooking...they had no frozen spinach so i bought fresh, and will chop by hand. Do you think that will be fine?

Ok, so i called my Hubby at home and told him what you said... we do have the cd at home. He messaged me back;

"it won't let me boot from the repair/reinstall cd anymore. When I hit boot from cd, it just takes me in circles like if I didn't have the cd"

So any ideas if it wont let us boot from the cd to repair/reformat?

Ok so there is something wrong with my windows XP on my hubby's laptop, and it won't let us in at all.

We tried to do the whole "safe mode" thing, "last known good configurations" thing, etc. None work.

Now we can't even get to a screen that will let us reformat. I've tried every F button and the esc button.

When I do esc to boot from the repair cd, it doesn't work it just keeps going in the circle like it does on it's own.

Then as far as the F buttons go, the only ones that do anything are F8, F10 (which was reformat on my desktop), and F12. F12 just did this media check thing and then went back to the regular.

F10 on this compute just goes to the settings menu. I can't find anything in this menu to reformat.

F8 goes to the menu that has the different options like "safe mode with controls", "last known...", etc but I have tried each and every single one and NONE of them do anything productive.

I really don't know what to do. I just want to reformat it and get it over with but now it seems to gotten worse/.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is Reformatting so different on a laptop?

I've JUST finshed my Bottle of L'Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation. I will need more Foundation for this Friday for a Halloween Party I am going to, and i want to try something different.

I want to have a Nice FLAWLESS face. I found that the one i mentioned above, it was like you could SEE the foundation.

Here is what i am looking for;

1) I have some red spots so i need good coverage

2) I have Combinatio skin (Some Oil Spots & Some Really Dry spots)

3) I get circles under my skin

4) I am VERY Pail (lol)

5) I live in CANADA, and dont have time to order anything as i need it in 2 days :)

6) I have always used a liquid foundation, but have heard mixed reviews about Mouse one's... any thoughts?

I KNOW this photo has been airbrushed haha. But i would LOVE for my Skin to look similiar to this, nicely covered for my Dumb Zits, but still looks like SKIN.

SO i was thinking of a casarole type dish.

Pasta

Pasta Sauce

Crumbled Feta (or Crumbled goasts cheese)

Mozzarela

White Cheddar

Ground Beef

Frozen Corn

Brocolli

Any recipes where i can make something with this...

I was thinking cook the ground beef, put in pasta sauce.

Cook Noodles

Layer, Suace, Noodles, Cheese.. Cook in oven...and then melt mozza on top?

Does that sound ok... sorry i'm not great at cooking of the top of my head, so.... HELP hahaha

Hey guys... I am just cooking dinner for myself tonight and dont want to go out to buy anything to make. So i was thinking of making Tunay Pasta Salad... as I have tuna, pasta and Mayonnaise and not much else haha.

So I have Whole Wheat Pasta

1 or 2 Cans of Tuna

Half a jar of mayonnaise left (I dont want to use to much for calorie reasons and i DON"T have italian Dressing)

Onions

Maybe Bacon (I'll have to see if its still good)

I have basic spices and condiments (mustard, Vinegar, Sugar, Dill, Paprika... stuff like that)

they only Veggies I have is Green beens, but that sounds gross for in the tuna salad so I think i will steam it for on the side.

SO PLEASE HELP ME, I've never made tuna pasta salad before, so please let me know if that will go together and how much of EACH to put in.

hey there, My boyfriend got a stain on his wool suit. Its Navy blue and it looks like possibly a cream suace stain, about the size of a quarter near the breast pocket.

He needs to wear it tonight (Of course haha) and i'm wondering if there is anything i can do at home to get it out? Spot remover? or I have a hand held steamer that says is fine for applostery (Used it on drapes before) or is DryCleaning our only option? I'm worried they wont be able to get it done fast enough.

Hello, I am babysitting my boyfriends, friends betta (there's a mouth-full hhaha)

Anyways, he WAS living in a small "Betta" tank with some rocks and plastic plant for almost 2 years. So once i got him I upgraded his tank to a bigger size and and added some SILK plants.

I want to get him a heater as well, but I'm worried that because he has lived in cooler water for ATLEAST 2 years (including before she got him) that maybe he has adapted to it.

SO my question is, would his body have gotten used to the cooler water?

Would putting in a heater NOW after so long put him into shock because of the permainint water temp change?

HELP, my boyfriend thinks i'm silly for already buying a $4 fish a new tank and silk plants but i want him to be happy and healthy. But i also dont want to buy him a heater if I'm going to stress him out and kill him :(

Hey guys, I'm going to a wedding and meeting a bunch of my boyfriends friends for the first time (AHHHhhh) and as its an out door summer wedding i was thinking of wearing it up so that i dont get too hot.

My hair is Medium length with side swept bangs. It is naturally wavy, but more of a frizzy wavy, so normally i flat iron it straight or throw it in a simple pony tail. So i have no idea how to put my hair up and make it look GOOD haha.

Picutres would be great, and HOW to do it would be even better. I dont want it to look like i'm going to prom, but i want it to be pretty.

Hey guys.. I am going to a wedding in a few weeks, and have NO idea on what to do with my hair..(I am meeting my boyfriends friends for the 1st time so i want to I think i want to look good haha)

I'm thinking an up do as i will be dancing and its going to be hot (My hair has a natural fizzyness to it, so if i get sweaty it will go frizzy and gross - I flat Iron it normally)

Hello, My boyfriend lives in Kingston Ontario Canada. There is a bi-law there that you can't use chemical pesticides on your lawn. There is sooooooooooo many weeds (more weeds then grass in my opinion) and there is tones of patchey spots where their is no grass at all (I think that could be Grubs)

Any suggestions, or any non Chemical (natural) pesticides that you know of that could work that can be found in Canada? thanks so much

It really looks bad and it would take DAYS to pull all the weeds by hand.

What is the best way to cook it?

I am going to defrost it now to eat it in 2-3 hours.

I have not really cooked fish before so if you could be specific on cooking time and temperature. As well as what spices or flavours to use (Lime, lemon, Dill, butter ... whatever hehe)

Hello. I got a tattoo on my lower back when i was 18 (It was a defy my parents tattoo, and i didnt put too much thought into it unfortunatly) it was almost 10 years ago.

It is on my lower back, a bit bigger then the size of a toonie. It is higher then i would like. (there was no Low Rise Jeans back then hahaha) But i would like something different.

I dont have a problem going wider or LOWER but not higher.

How big would i have to go to cover it up? I still want a small tatoo. As Red is a dark pigment colour, would i have to go with dark colours if i were to cover it up? I do want it to still look femanine. I like Tribal lines and could possibly cover it up with a flower... I dont know.

Hello, My mom and my Aunt think the others is the best potato salad (my Mom loves my Aunt's and She loves my Mom's)

Well they will be coming over to my house for dinner, so i was thinking of making my OWN potato Salad, and hopefully have them both Love mine just as much, or MORE hehe.

But i've never made them before.

If you could please give me your best Potato Salad recipe (I was thinking maybe with Bacon Bits) AND you favorite DEVILED EGGS recipe that would be amazing.

(I personally Loved Deviled Eggs, but havent made them myself either)
