How big is your sandschool?
Now this always seemed like a pretty easy question for me as I am used to working in either a 20 x 40m or 20 x 60m school for dressage tests. However we are considering building one and are looking into the best place for it but after measuring out a 20m side it seems much bigger than any dressage test I've ridden (competed affiliated). So now I am very confused. Please some nice person explain this one to me or measure the sides of your 20x40 schools and let me know what size they actually are!
Thanks
4 AnswersHorses1 decade agoMorning Sickness remedies?
I'm about 9 weeks pregnant and am feeling sick virtually all the time, morning, noon and night. Has anyone got any remedies that work to try to stop this constant nausea? I've been told ginger tea and ginger nuts but no luck there, in fact the ginger tea is making me gag just smelling it. (Lovely I know!)
12 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoWith double fastening horse boots does the top strap still face to the back?
I have always done up all my horse's boots with the fastening from the front towards the back as this was how I was taught many moons ago as a child. However, I have now been told that boots with double fastenings where the second one goes over the first should have the top fastener facing forwards. Is this correct?
6 AnswersHorses1 decade agoOnline Horse Shows - Would you like to enter them and if so what types of classes?
Angeldust posted a question recently about online horse shows which I missed until it had closed. I wanted to let any of you who were interested in online shows about Interdressage which does just that. I've competed in some and been really pleased with it. They give you feedback as well as rosettes and prize money so you can improve. I think it is brilliant for young horses, those who get nervous at shows or people who can't get to shows.
Would anyone be interested in doing dressage, showing clases or style and performance jumping? They are freidnly and approachable and are always looking for suggestions of other classes you would like to see?

2 AnswersHorses1 decade agoCan anyone call themselves an animal rescue centre?
I know of a local place that calls itself a rescue centre and has a sign saying so. They ask for donations but it is not a registered charity. Is this allowed? They do not seem to have any links with any of the big animal charities but have been known to just take animals off people when they believe they are not being taken care of. Most of the time they seem to "persaude" the person to give them the animal but have also just taken at least one animal without the owner's permission. So what is the legal situation of someone taking animals they deem to be neglected or cruelly treated and do they need to be a registered charity to call themselves a rescue centre?

As simple as that: is a doughnut a type of cake? If not, what is it?
17 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoWhy does straw steam whilst shavings don't?
When its cold the muck heap where the straw is lets off steam and is warm. However, the muck heap made of shaving and wood chip doesn't steam.
I know its a stupid and sad question but my mate, Sam and I have been wondering for some time so someone please enlighten us!
2 AnswersOther - Science1 decade agoWhat is the craziest statistic you have heard?
Silly stats I've heard:
Apparently people wearing odd socks are less likely to be hit by a bus.
Suicide rates have apparently increased at the same rate as ice cream sales!
Over to you...
