  • Is 3.6 GPA bad?

I m a 20 year old college student. I got into some "trouble" last year and nearly got kicked out of school. Since then, I ve taken 7 classes total with 6 "A" grades and 1 "B" grade. My GPA is now a 3.57 (my school rounds up). Is that good or bad?

  • I don t agree with the way my teacher tests?

I m in a developmental psychology class and I m doing pretty bad. I got a high C as a current grade. I did miss one assignment which lowered it a bit, otherwise it d be a B. Anyways, I don t like the way she tests the class. She has no multiple choice questions and every question is open-ended and open book, and I can t stand it. The first test I didn t study for and got a D+ and the second I got a C-; that one I studied really hard for and despite the open book policy. What actually bothers me is the grading criteria. There is no actual "correct" or "incorrect" answers, and if there are, it s not very clear; the two tests we ve had so far are pretty much "explain A in your own words" or "Apply B to a certain situation using your own words." Each answer gets a specific amount of points which will total at the end of each test. The points awarded aren t really based on how well you ve answered the question, more so how well does your answer fit what the teacher s criteria is for that question (I hope that makes sense). If said answer doesn t fit the criteria, than you lose points, which leads to a lower grade. So then, I end up losing confidence as a student in my abilities. Am I in the right to think like this?

  • Who is more versatile player, LeBron James or Kevin Durant?

Who do you think who would be more versatile overall (offense, defense, rebounding etc.)? If you had to choose, who would you rather have lead your team?

  • Can I bounce back from a terrible terrible first year of college?

I m 19 (soon to be 20), and I ve has a terrible first year of Community College. I ve been terrible at attendance, have dropped 4 different classes that are on my permanent record, got 1 D and 1 F (the rest are A s and B s). This left me with a lackluster 2.7 GPA. I struggle with anxiety and depression, and occasional suicidal ideation, it s gotten so bad that I started going to therapy. I got dropped Spring 2017 semester due to my depression. I have a Schizophrenic sister, and a financially unstable mother. Balancing that with school just became too much and I just lost the motivation to sometimes even leave bed l or clean, though I hide this from people because I don t think of it as an excuse. I just found out that I might be on academic probation and might not be able to attend full-time. I won t find out until tomorrow. My mom needs this in order to keep her housing apparently because I m filed under "full-time student" and my income doesn t affect it. I just don t know what to do. Is it possible to bounce back from this? Do I have a future? I just want some advice.

  • 19 year old college student anxious with women, advice?

This seems very weird but okay. It s never been a difficult issue to attract and flirt with girls but it s hard to ask them out. In the past I ve been played, used, manipulated, and taken advantage of by most of the girls that I have been interested in; either that or they have boyfriends and are cheating. It s gotten to the point where I talk to girls and we ll get super flirty and touchy but I ll never make a move. I don t believe that they actually like me and are playing me or trying to use me in some way. Sometimes I don t even wanna try. I gave some hot waitress my phone number the other day(she never texted me tho for whatever reason, I don t care why), so I guess it s a start in the right direction.

  • Does this seem like a scam?

A few weeks ago I applied for a job at Amazon for an overnight shift. The application process was easy, do an assessment and get hired. Luckily I got hired and within a few days I went to a job offering event, did a drug test, and that was it. The next week (which was last week), I completed my i-9 form. Now I m still waiting on my orientation, I got an e-mail basically telling me to be patient, but I don t know. Was I scammed?

  • Fired for something that wasn t my fault?

I was working at Walmart for about a month and a half( and honestly hated it). I was supposed to work last weekend but I sprained my ankle and called out for both days. Doc said it was pretty bad and had at least another week before I could work, yesterday I went to log in to their system to get my Associate Id# to call out again and tell them, but it said I was terminated. Should I talk to them about it or look for another job? I m a 19 yo college student and this is only my second job btw.

  • Am I going to get fired?

I work as a cart pusher at Wal-Mart (yeah I know) from 1pm-10pm for 2 weeks. So from 7-10 I'm by myself and those are it's busiest hours. Last night I saw two managers discussing carts. I didn't hear much; all I heard was 'blah blah more carts outside than inside and using the entrance'. Am I going to get fired? Am I that incompetent?

  • I don t like my coworkers?

I ve been working at a new retail job for about two weeks now and I like it. It s hard work, but I like working. The problem is that all of my coworkers are like family they re really close, except for me. Like everyone knows each other and is super friendly with each other; I m just the new guy . I don t really have the urge to jump in and conversate, as I m kind of a loner and like to stay to myself and I just observe everyone, beside the few people that I do talk to. But today when I clocked out I could hear two (a guy and a girl) coworkers discussing how weird I was and they couldn t make eye contact. They also jokingly talked how the guy hated the Puerto Rican guy with the glasses (I m Puerto Rican and wear glasses). And all the girls just make googly eyes at me or deep eye contact. I dunno, I honestly don t care for relationships/friendships too much but I also don t want to make my coworkers hate me or feel uncomfortable around me

    Help pls

  • Should I follow up after really bad interview?

I had a terrible interview yesterday. I was terribly nervous and could barely answer any of their questions coherently, and I really feel like I missed out on the opportunity to sell myself because of it. I plan on following up on Monday to at least get some feedback if possible, is that a good idea?

  • Should I not follow up after a job application?

I m an 18 (soon to be 19) year old college student living in Philadelphia PA and I only have a little bit of work experience. I landed a work study job at the Free Library of Philadelphia and I worked there for about 4 months mostly working in their afterschool program and computer assistance during the semesters. Now that they re over, I m out of a job. I ve applied to about 7 or 8 retail places in about a week (I didn t apply to any fast food places because it would be easier to transition my skills and experience to retail and customer service). I just tried following up with one of them (The Target I applied to) and she said that if I was qualified, I d be contacted but she spoke in a rude manner. I felt like I annoyed her by asking. I ve only been contacted for one interview for tomorrow but that s it. Should I just wait to be contacted or should I follow up?

  • Is depression technically a selfish sin??

I'm 16 and I have really bad depression and social anxiety. This depression keeps me from working towards the goals I want to achieve; it makes me very lazy because I want to feel happy and hard work isn't always fun, I try to escape it by doing things I like inside the house (internet). But it never does. So I try to get some things done, though it's hard because of my depression and less energy. I mean, I do help cook and clean and I do have good grades in most of my classes (except one, which I hope to start working on that soon). So, does this depression and anxiety make me a selfish sinner?

  • Can someone tell me the name of this anime???

It's about some guy who unintentionally fell in love with an immortal vampire and he ended up as a vampire. Then he got "killed" and woke up in the future, and started fighting evil guys and searching for his lost love.

  • Can someone recommend any good action anime from 2012 and 2013?

I already watched K-project, Fate/Zero and Attack on Titan. I tried watching Kill la Kill this season, but I though it kinda sucked. Any other good action anime that came out recently?
