Since when does the President have the ability to order the Justice Department to NOT ENFORCE the law just because it doesn't fit his beliefs?

So, let me get this right. When the next president comes in and says the 14th Amendment is not what he believes is right and orders the Justice Department to not prosecute states who violate it?

What is right and wrong is completely up for debate. Laws are what makes things concrete. And then the President does something like this, he is setting a dangerous precedent. Thoughts?

Meet Mike

Mike and Susan are married. Mike goes out with friend to movies. Susan, who is military, invites non military neighbor (military spouse) over for drinks while watching both of their respective children.

Both women get drunk, end up making out and finishes with Susan masturbating the other woman witha dildo. Susan texts husband dirty details.

Mike, hearing that the two people watching his kids are drunk and doing things like that, tells the woman(neigbor) to leave and not be there when he arrives. He gets home, and she shows up BACK at his house a few minutes later. She is raving drunk, swearing and cussing and calling dirty names. He tells her to leave 2 more times, and she swings at him. He dodges one, and then she hits him on the next one. Remember, he is sober, and she isn't. He is also holding his 15 month old kid while this is happening. He puts out his hand palm first to ward her attacks off. That's it. No other contact on his part. She leaves and threatens to call the cops.

The cops show up, arrest Mike and take him to jail on base for 7 hours and charge him with assault and battery. because a drunk, raving lunatic claims he hit her.

Mike's wife, who saw the whole thing, tells the same story as Mike.

Now, mike has an arrest(first ever) and has to go to court for assault and battery. Furthermore, he has to let Child Services in house to check on kids whenever they want.

Now, his life is marked and will have hard time holding down his current job and any meaningful current jobs.

What can he do? Does he have any legal recourse? HELP.
