  • Nested boxes, where to put the nutrition info??

I have to design a product box for my class. I want to do nested boxes, as in several boxes inside one. As far as I can tell, I can put the nutrition info on the outside of the inside boxes, since each carries a different product. And the outside box just carries all the boxes. But it's really hard to figure out. Where do I put the nutrition info when it comes to nested boxes?

  • Itching, burning scalp? Why?

Ok, so this is weird. But recently, when I am rinsing the conditioner I use out of my hair, it starts to burn and itch. I mean digging my nails into my scalp like a crazy person itch. It's intolerable. But it does stop. It's literally just when I am rinsing the conditioner. I use Suave Coconut Oil Infusion, and have done so for a while without issue. It started only recently. Should I change products? I don't do much in the way of styling, and I don't use any product in my hair at all. So I have no idea what could be doing this? Any thoughts?

  • Help with planning a vacation to New York next fall? Advice? Personal experiences?

Ok, so, late next summer I will be graduating from college. As a gift to myself, I would like to go to New York for a weekend to see the Broadway production of Anastasia. It was my favorite movie when I was a kid, and I wanted to see it at the Hartford Stage, but was still unable to get a job due to family circumstances. Now I have a job and I am finishing school in the summer, as I said, and Anastasia The New Musical is getting a Broadway run.

If I start planning now, I figure I can manage a short trip to NY to see it once I graduate. But I wanted some advice, since I haven't ever really been on a proper vacation. I have left my state only once that I can remember, and I was sick for most of that. Plus my mother did the planning, as I was a kid. So, I want to know what to plan for.

Obviously transportation (flight and gettting around the city), a hotel, and tickets. But how early do I need to get the tickets if I want to go late august/early september next year? How far ahead should I book my flight? I just started working, it's going to take a while to earn enough money for any of that. So I'm hoping I can wait a few months.

Does anybody know any good hotels? What's the best place to find them? What about flights? Best airline? What advice do you have for a first time vacation planner??

  • Good Tee-Shirt Website/Store?

Hey, so I love tees like they have at Threadless or Snorg Tees, but they never have any in my size (need at least a 3x to fit around my breasts). Do you guys know of any good tee-shirt websites/stores that have a good plus size selection?

  • My Entire Neighborhood Smells Like Skunk? Why?

Ok, so I live in a rural area and we have skunks. It's usually not so bad, don't bug the skunks and all is well. However a few nights every summer, particularly in late august, the entire neighborhood starts to smell like skunk. Heavy and thick and though I've never been sprayed, sometimes if you venture outside for long enough when the smell is in the air, it clings to your clothes just a bit. Very faint, but there. Doesn't stick to your skin though.

I'm a night person, and so I take walks after dark quite frequently. I have seen the skunks on several occasions, but like I said, never been sprayed. We just leave each other alone. Skunks get the right of way. Tonight the entire neighborhood smells, though, and I just want to know why. Is it mating season? It always seems to happen right around the same time each year. We thought it might be a skunk getting hit on the road, but we've never seen any dead skunks so we don't think that's it. Did something else get sprayed and it's just wafting through the area?

  • Dogs keep peeing on the floor?

I'm housesitting for my grandpa, and his three dogs are driving me nuts. I take them outside every couple hours or so, and they have two dog doors to outdoor pens which they use to go out. However, despite all that, every time I go to sleep, and every time I leave to run errands, they go to the bathroom on the floor. I can't not sleep. I can't not get groceries. I just don't understand it, I know they're potty trained, they're all adults.

The entire house smells like pee, and it's disgusting. I'm sick of having to clean up spots. But I don't know what more I can do. My sister and I sleep opposite schedules, so while I'm asleep she's there in just a couple hours to let them out again, so it's not like they're going nine hours without someone to let them out. And like I said, they do go out in the pens through the dog. It's not been bad weather, so there's nothing to keep them from wanting to go potty outside.

Can anyone offer any insight on why they're doing this or how I can stop it. My grandpa's going to come home to a ruined carpet (although, from all the dark spots, I'd say they've been doing this for a while).

  • Where can you hand out a survey?

I have to hand out a survey for a class, and I am not sure about the legalities. I would like to go somewhere indoors, since it's supposed to rain all week, but I am not sure if I would be allowed to conduct a survey in a mall or something like that. Does anyone know the rules for handing out a survey in a public space?

  • Is the answer in my Social Research textbook wrong?

So I am using the review questions in my book to study for a test, and I came across something strange. The question was:

Bernetta did a study in which she, the researcher, could not identify a given response with a given respondent. She employed

    a. anonymity

    b. deception

    c. value-free sociology

    d. confidentiality

    e. ideological bias

I chose anonymity, but the book says it's value-free sociology. Which makes no sense. Looking it up online, it says that the answer is anonymity. I have noticed other questions that I thought I knew for sure the answer to, and the answer that the book provided made little sense, but I am sure the book's answer is wrong in this case. What do you guys think? Is the textbook wrong?

BTW, I have checked to make sure I am matching the questions and answers correctly, and the book is Guided Activities for Babbie's the Practice of Social Research.

  • How Do I Tell My Friend I Don't Want To See Movies With Her Anymore?

Ok, so I love my best friend, and I love to spend time with her. BUT she has decided that cynicism is the way to go, and its never ok to like anything, and whenever she sees something she likes that she thinks is a problem for some weird reason she tears it apart until she can convince herself she actually hates it. As for me, I don't like that attitude. I can't afford to go see many movies, so I save my money for movies I am just really excited about. So, having my best friend sitting beside me completely ruining the experience is the worst. BUT, I don't want to hurt her. I just want to enjoy the few nights out I treat myself to. How can I tell her that I no longer want to go to the theater with her, without really hurting her feelings?

  • High Speed Internet in WA State?

Hey, so I am in search of better internet in WA state. I have Frontier internet, and pay $35 a month. The speeds are slow, however, and I can't play many videos on youtube, go on tumblr, or use more than one divice very easily. We also have trouble with using our Netflix account. I fear that for our family this internet service is too slow, so do any of you know of a faster internet connection for a comparable price. Would like it if it also did not force us into a contract. Thank you.

  • What do you think selfishness is?

I mean, my mother has accused me of being selfish due to not wishing to be an active role model and play mate in my younger siblings life. I do not like children, I do not get along with them well, and my sibling goes to great lengths to make me miserable. And so I wish to distance myself, and chose to do just that. But my mom's accusations got me thinking, is it really selfish of me? And if it is, is it necessarily a bad thing?

Every time I express a want of my own recently, especially if it clashes with my siblings, I am accused of selfishness. And I just wonder, if selfishness is bad at all. I have sacrificed a lot for my mother and younger sibling. I've done things I hated, that made me miserable and I never wanted to do. Is it selfish of me to say "no" every now and again for my own benefit.

And can selfishness be a good thing? If selfishness is expressing and caring for your wants above other peoples, then it's necessary. Because if you were never selfish it would lead to a life of being trampled on by everyone else's' needs and never having your own taken care of. That sounds like a pretty miserable life.

So, your opinions, what is selfishness in definition. And moreover, is it entirely bad to be selfish? Is there a certain level of selfishness that can be good?

  • Hedgehog Diet Troubles?

Alright, so my hedgie, Watson, has lived with us for about a month. She was not eating for a very, very long time. The food provided by her breeder has been consistently available to her. She has also been given a wide variety of fruits, some grilled chicken, wet cat food, other crushed dry cat food and basically whatever else we could find online. She WILL eat mealworms, as we found out a few days ago. Short of syringe feeding her Ensure or Baby Food this is the only way we can get her to eat. Is this an OK diet for her? Of course I will keep providing the cat food and some fruit here and there, but I mean, if it's all she'll eat is it OK for me to allow this to be her diet? She is not overweight or anything, honestly after not eating well for so long she could use to gain a few pounds, and after starting to feed her worms she seems so much better off and happier.

  • Is This A Cold or Just Allergies?

So, having a difficult time figuring this out as I've never had allergies. So a few days ago I was just suddenly congested. I figured it was the cold my mother has had for two weeks now. The strange this is that my eyes itch and occasionally water. And I haven't really gotten too many headaches. Which for me is unusual because with colds I usually get headaches. So it's summer here, lots of things are in bloom, lots of pollen in the air, plus I just went somewhere new. And my symptoms are: a stuffy nose (seems to be at least mostly clear), very rare coughing, slight fatigue (could be from traveling), itchy eyes and the back of my nose kind of itches, and some sneezing. I don't have any aches really, beyond what I did to myself going on a hike, and like I said no headaches or sign of fever, I had a slightly dry throat for a while but I believe that was from going into a more desert-like area than I am used to, as that particular complaint is gone now.

So, what do you think: allergies or cold? (I'll probably go to the doctor later this week if I can find the time. I am just looking for other opinions until then on how to go about getting this to go away quickly.)

  • USB-IF xHCI USB Controller Error 31/Denied Access To Pc?

My computer is being a bit of a pain today. So I go to "My Computer" and try to access the driver labeled for my PC and it tells me "Joy is denying access to your PC. Contact the owner of the media server to allow your PC access to it." This makes no sense to me, because I have no idea what it means by "owner of the media server" but I assume it means me, and I only have one account no admin or anything, just my account. So I go into Hardware to see if something is wrong and it tells me that "USB-IF xHCI USB Controller is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (error 31)

So are these connected or not, and can you help me figure out how to fix this?

P.S.- Please don't tell me to restart it or turn it off and then back on again. I've done that and it didn't solve anything. I also disabled then re-enabled the USB Controller and that didn't help either.

  • Please Help My Hedgehog Isn't Eating?

Hey, so I got a hedgie just a week and a half or so ago. So far she has settled in nicely, is nice and social, plays with everyone she meets, runs on her wheel at night and overall seems fairly happy and healthy. The only issue is that she doesn't seem to be eating or drinking a whole lot. She hasn't taken the various treats I've offered her either. Does this seem like something I should be worried about?

  • So I Would Really Just Like Any Driving Advice at All?

Ok, so I will start off by saying that I am 18 and just getting my learners permit. I have this fear of operating motorized vehicles. Anyway, I heard this story that my grandpa (who is taking me), when my Uncle got his permit, my grandpa pulled over and said you're driving now, so I asked him why, and he said why not. And then he looks at ME. And he says, oh, you ARE driving tomorrow. And so I requested that we at least start in a parking lot and he goes, "Why?". So basically I will be driving for real tomorrow with no practice under my belt at all, and my grandpa tends to yell, and I'm nervous, so any advice??? PLEASE?

  • GED testing questions, please help!?

So, I was hoping to get some answers from anyone who has taken the GED. See, I went most of the way through high school online, before I realized that I had not been signed up for the correct classes to graduate on schedule, and due to the error of our guidance councilor, I would have to take a whole 'nother year at least. So, my mom and I talked it over and decided that I would just take my GED.

So, my questions is: Should I take the GED classes at the college first? See, I have to babysit my sister, get her on and off the bus and so on. There is no one else to do this. Add in the fact that I don't drive (Please don't start asking me why or telling me I should, I don't want to hear it, sorry.) and that makes it really hard for me to get to these classes.

According to the person I spoke to on the phone, the test is a lot of reading comprehension. I am great at reading comprehension and writing and all that. My only real issue is in math. I can do up to basic algebra and some geometry. But above that I start to get confused. I've always been that way, but usually I manage to get by. So, for those who have taken the test, how difficult is it really, and do you think I have any chance at all of passing the test without the classes. What would you suggest and do you have any other advice for me? Thanks to all who answer, I really appreciate the input!!!

  • Computer security windows alert?

So, here's the thing, my windows alert is telling me that all my security options, firewall, spyware protection and all that are turned off, but when I open up Kaspersky it says that everything is active and I've scanned the computer and found no threats. SO I am just wondering if this could be an error within windows alert or if this is something I should be worried about. I do have a one-year protection plan, is it worth it to take it in and have it looked at? What do you think?
