  • What is wrong with this Samsung WEP150 Wireless Headset?

I recently sold a boxed Samsung WEP150 Wireless Headset. I tested it approximately 12 months ago and all was fine. However the purchaser has contacted me with the following issue:

"I received your item today, I opened the box, plugged it in to charge and saw a red flash followed by a green light for about a second. I've let it charge for a few hours, and no matter how long I hold the multi-function button, nothing happens no matter how long it charges, it seems that doesn't work. The headset doesn't open, no blue light as instructions said when opened and also doesn't charges."

I've googled and got some very similar questions but no actual answers. Is if a battery problem do you think?

Can you buy batteries for these devices? I'm hesitant to just offer a refund as it worked find when we tested it.

  • How do I transfer movies from my Panasonic SDR-S45 camcorder without a USB wire?

I have a camcorder (Panasonic SDR-S45) which came with an SD card. I've recorded onto this card and now want to copy onto my computer? All instructions say I have to connect the camcorder to my PC with a USB wire but the camcorder didn't come with a USB wire. How do I transfer the movies across?

  • When a UK police officer arrests someone do they come to their home?

Myself and my husband recently gave lengthy and details statements to the Police regarding harassment from our neighbour. They have informed us that our neighbour will be arrested and questioned and a statement taken from her.

Once taken the CPS will decide if the case goes to court etc.

My question is: will they do the arrest at home or will they simply telephone her and ask her to attend the police station?

  • How do I search if my father's estate was claimed after his death?

I live in the UK and wondered if anyone knows how probate law etc works.

I've recently found out that my father died over 7 years ago and I hadn't been informed due to family breakdowns etc. When my mother died 11 years ago her estate passed to my father who was in a nursing home at the time and never left said nursing home until his death.

Can anyone advise me how I can find out if my father's estate was claimed or if it is still held in a government account.

  • Is entrapment illegal when not done by the Police?

I have a Harassment Order against my next door neighbour. The day after it was put on her she took to carrying a Dictaphone in her pocket. She then goaded us on numerous occasions to have an argument with her.

She then damaged our property which resulted in my husband shouting at her. Mid-argument she suddenly stopped and shouted "that's assault that is - I'm ringing the Police". The Police arrived and arrested my husband on suspicion of assault. All charges have now been dropped and the Police informed us that she had admitted to carrying a Dictaphone for weeks before these false allegations had been made.

Even the Police said it was entrapment.

Question : Is entrapment illegal, she has admitted on Police statement to carrying a dictaphone and we have witnesses and diary entries of provocation goading us to argue with her.

  • What song am I talking about?

Please help, it is driving me mad.

I'm sure it is a song from the 80's but it is a women who's leaving a telephone answer message to her husband who is in space or something similar. Whilst she's leaving this message saying things like "Hey babe I really miss you" and "I'm sorry I'm getting upset now" and "sorry I wasn't here to take your call" there is occasionally a metallic loud speaker sound voice saying that there time is nearly up etc.

Please help, it really is driving me crackers! I loved this song.

  • Without visiting a jewellers is there a test I can do to see if a ring is gold?

I've found a ring in my jewellery box and wonder if its gold. It has two stamps on the inside. One says 18K and the other says either 750 or 150. There is a stamped "squiggle" not a square picture like a lion but a two lined squiggle.

The ring "smells" a bit metally which makes me think it isn't gold but the stamps inside might mean it is.

Is there anyone I can put on it to test rather than going to a jewellers and making a fool out of myself if its a brass ring?

  • My PC won't re-boot unless I click either F1 or F2 - why?

When I re-boot my computer I now get a black screen and it prompts me to press F1 to start computer or F2 to enter setup mode. It never used to do this - I just want it to re-boot and start up properly without having to press either of these keys.

Any ideas how I can stop this from happening?

    Thanks

  • How else can I unblock my ear?

I've been to the GP and they syringed my ear which has done nothing. They didn't get any wax out and my ear is still completely blocked.

The GP said it is probably my inner ear blocked and syringing won't help. I have to wait another two weeks to see if it unblocks itself.

I'm not in pain but I can hear myself 10 times louder and struggle to hear anyone talking to me unless they are really near.

Any ideas peeps on what I can do to hurry this along?

  • What's the most expensive yet quite common fault in a Peugeot 306?

Bit of an odd question but I hope someone can help me.

I had an N reg Peugeot 306 which I bought for £600 about 6 years ago. Its done me very well but it started to have a number of things wrong with it like the window mechanism breaking, the sun roof leaking, the electrics playing up and other minor things. Nothing major but I wasn't prepared to pay to get it through another MOT when we don't actually use it very often (perhaps 1/2 times per week) and would be throwing good money after bad.

I have scrapped the car but need to have a realistic explanation as to why it was scrapped and I didn't ask family members to pay for the repairs.

What major fault are Peugeots renowned for getting which would make the car effectively only fit for scrap? I'd prefer one that the car broke down and after being towed to a garage they gave me the severe prognosis!!!

    Many thanks in advance.
