Welcome to my profile. I love to help others, so I mainly stick to the family and friends section. I have a chihuahua named Zoey and I write books. My goal is to get my PhD in Psychology and continue to help others. Yahoo Answers gives me the ability to start early. If you've got a question, e-mail me or message me. Your best chance is to IM me. I can't promise I will answer back, but I'll try. And just to make it clear. I am here to answer questions and help others.I am not looking for a relationship over online with a guy who is probably fifty and owns a poodle. Alright? I get a lot of those. Have a great day and don't forget: You're beautiful! No matter what is happening in your life, you're strong enough to beat it.

  • I don't know what I want to do anymore...?

For years, I've always thought I wanted to be a therapist. I figured I was pretty good with advice, I enjoyed helping others, and it just felt right. I am not boasting here, but people just saw me being a therapist, I saw myself being one. I would say for seven years I have always believed I would be either a Psychologist or a Family and Marriage Therapist. Now as I am doing a lot of research and figuring out how I can be one, I am starting to second-guess myself. I'm young, so I understand why I could be freaking out a little, but I'm really feeling conflicted and it's freaking me out. Here I thought I knew what I wanted to do for the longest time and now the idea that I could potentially be putting myself in a career that I may like doing but am not passionate about scares me. For the past three years, on and off I have been feeling this way. Mostly confident, but then I grow doubtful and am unsure. I love helping others and I feel like it's something that is positive and can benefit God and others, yet I am doubtful. I've been feeling this for a while. I've been praying for a sign from God. Maybe all of this doubt is telling me something...How do I know this isn't just me having an early, mini mid-life crisis because of a big life decision, or just my gut telling me I am meant to do something else?

    Thanks

  • 1 month old kitten, lethargic, not eating, help!?

So our cat just gave birth to four kittens. In the beginning, there was one kitten--let's call it B--that was smaller than all the rest. Not by very much, but as the kittens started to grow, this one seemed to kind of lag behind physically. However, it was the one with the most personality. It started to play before any of the others, it was always rolling on its back, and it looked like it was feeding nicely. Then one day the mother cat got sick. She was vomiting, but she got better. It seemed like one of the other kittens had come down with the same thing but bounced back quickly enough. However, B seemed to take a horrible fall in health as the mother did. It started sleeping all the time. It wouldn't nurse--in fact, it would crawl away from the mother. I started noticing that it seemed almost ravenous, but every time we tried to put the kitten with her mother, it would just fall away from the other kittens and mother, which it didn't do before. So my mom and I started to take turns nursing it. It's been a couple of days and B has gone down hill very, very fast. It's never hungry, it's incredibly lethargic to the point it barely moves and just sleeps, and pretty much falls asleep in our arms as we try to feed it. The mother and kittens have abandoned it and sometimes it whimpers horribly. Don't advise going to a vet, we're on it, but if you have an idea as to what is causing this and ways we can possibly go about to helping it get better, that would be great. Thanks!

  • HP laptop gets stuck on sleep mode? Please help!?

Hi, so I have a HP 2000 Notebook Windows 8 PC laptop. It's a 64-bit operating system, if that helps. I've had it for maybe under two years now. So here's my problem, which I am hoping someone can at least tell me why it is happening if not a solution:

I've noticed this just today. I'll leave my laptop up and running and leave the room. During that time, it will go into sleep mode, which is normal, I suppose. I come back maybe fifteen minutes later--depending on how long I am out--and click around to get it up and running again and out of sleep mode. Today, I've noticed that it just remains frozen in sleep mode. The power light is on, the network light is on, and after spending maybe ten minutes pressing the space bar a zillion times, the caps light will turn on, too, if I press it. Before today, the laptop sometimes takes a couple of minutes to jump out of sleep mode, but it always does. And now...well, now it just remains stuck until I have to restart it. After I restart it, everything is cool. Until I leave the room again and it goes into sleep mode. I have tried closing down the laptop--not turning it off, just closing it--and waiting five-ten minutes and trying to open it back up, but alas, nothing. I have not done a hard shut down of my computer yet--I am kind of avoiding having to do that. So I am hoping someone can tell me how I can fix this problem or at least a reason for why this is happening.

    All answers appreciated!

    Thanks!

  • I REALLY NEED HELP WITH COORDINATE GEOMETRY! PLEASE HELP!!!?

I am having a really hard time getting this Geometry lesson done. I more or less have half-way correct answers or wrong answers. I just need help figuring them out. Please help me with all of them and not just do one or two. All of these questions are questions on specific questions on my lesson. This just isn't the whole lesson or anything. It's questions I am having trouble figuring out. Thank you!

    1. Indicate in standard form the equation of the line passing through the given points.

    A(4, 1), B(5, 2)

    The answer I got: x-3=y

    2. Indicate in standard form the equation of the line passing through the given points.

    R(3, 3), S(-6, -6)

    The answer I got: y= -x-3

    3. Indicate in standard form the equation of the line passing through the given points.

    B(0, 0), C(4, -4)

    The answer I got: x-y=4

4.Indicate in standard form the equation of the line passing through the given point and having the given slope.

    B(6, 2), m = -1/2

    The answer I got:x+y= -4

    5. Indicate in standard form the equation of the line passing through the given point and having the given slope.

    D(5, -2) m = 2/5

    The answer I got: x+3y= -4

6.Indicate the equation of the given line in standard form.

The line through (2, -1) and parallel to a line with slope of 3/4.

    The answer I got: 5x+2y= -11

    7. Indicate the equation of the given line in standard form.

The line with slope 9/7 and containing the midpoint of the segment whose endpoints are (2, -3) and (-6, 5).

    The answer I got: 2x+5y=7

8.Indicate the equation of the given line in standard form.

The line through the midpoint of and perpendicular to the segment joining points (1, 0) and (5, -2).

    The answer I got: 2x-7=y

    9. Indicate the equation of the given line in standard form.

The line containing the midpoints of the legs of right triangle ABC where A(-5, 5), B(1, 1), and C(3, 4) are the vertices.

    The answer I got: x+8y=0

^^Note: These answers above are answers I got somewhat right. I would really appreciate if you could work them out and point out what I did wrong. Thank you! The ones below are ones I got completely wrong and I can't figure them out.

    __________________________

    1. Indicate the equation of the given line in standard form.

    The line containing the longer diagonal of a quadrilateral whose vertices are A (2, 2), B(-2, -2), C(1, -1), and D(6, 4).

2.Indicate the equation of the given line in standard form.

The line containing the median of the trapezoid whose vertices are R(-1, 5) , S(1, 8), T(7, -2), and U(2,0).

    3. Indicate the equation of the given line in standard form.

The line containing the altitude to the hypotenuse of a right triangle whose vertices are P(-1, 1), Q(3, 5), and R(5, -5).

    4. Indicate the equation of the given line in standard form.

The line containing the diagonal of a square whose vertices are A(-3, 3), B(3, 3), C(3, -3), and D(-3, -3). Find two equations, one for each diagonal.

**Note: ^^These are questions that completely and absolutely stump me. I can not figure them out! Please most definitely help me with these!!

Note: Just a reminder, this isn't homework. This is a lesson I am trying to complete and have been for the past 2 hours. I really need to finish this lesson today! Just a reminder, I really beg that you don't do just five and then say "good luck with the rest" because I am having trouble with these specific questions. If you can work them all out and then explain how you did it, that would be great and I would appreciate it a lot. The last 4 are the ones that truly stump me the most, so if you're going to pick questions, at least help me out with those last 4. Thank you so much again for answering!

  • My five pound 5-year-old Chihuahua ate one of my beyaz birth control pills! Please help!?

Okay, she hasn't eaten it yet, but I am afraid she will. This morning, I accidentally dropped it on the floor, but I don't know where. I've got it rounded to one place, but I am searching over and over it again and I simply can't find it. I am worried about my chihuahua, who I have in my room at the minute to keep from anything happening. I am so mad at myself! If she eats it, what will happen? She's five years old and a normal-sized Chihuahua--not a teacup in other words--and pretty small--rounding about 5-6 pounds at the most. She was just spayed about a little more than 2 weeks ago, so it makes me wonder if anything at all will happen. The birth control beyaz I take is the lowest dose. I have to take it because of an illness that I have. Also, I can't call anyone about it if it happens. We just moved and we haven't got our phone set up because the man refuses to come for some reason and I can't get any cell phone service where I am at. Thanks for any answer that will help! Also, I won't exactly know today if she eats it or perhaps tomorrow, so should I be looking out for any signs? Thanks again!

  • What foundation is best for covering up acne?

I have a problem with my acne. Please do not suggest home remedies or using medication. I've done it before and it just does not work. In fact, my face reacts worse when I use things like that. I've recently ran out of foundation and I need more. It's really can't be over $30, and I am ordering it on Amazon...so....anyway, I just need some suggestions. I need the foundation to have REALLY great coverage for acne. I have combination oily/dry skin--leaning more on the oily side. I also have hormonal issues that I am taking care of that throws everything out of control--like acne, so like I said, don't waste your time and suggest ways to clear up the acne because it's not going to help. It might have for you, but it won't for me since of the hormonal issues and just nothing will work on my skin. In fact, my acne clears up better when I just use water to clean my face, so if you're going to suggest medical products to help my acne you might as well not answer at all. Sorry if I sound too blunt, but I don't want to waste your time, and I don't really have time for it. So I just need suggestions for really good coverage foundation, under $30, and it will be ordered on Amazon--if that matters.

    Thank you so much!

  • What are some intriguing history topics around the medieval time?

I love Tudor history, so I am looking around that time. I've obsessed over it for about 5 years now, but I've hit a brick wall and I feel I've learned everything I can about the people involved in that time. So I am looking for a new topic to spend my time researching and reading. What are some really juicy history topics around the medieval time?

  • I need help with my Health project...I am supposed to interview three Christians about alcohol...?

I would use my family, but I only have two adults in my family--my parents--I am missing a third interviewer. You can make up your name and occupation if you want for privacy reasons if you wish. Thank you for participating!

    The questions:

    Name of interviewee:

    Age:

    Occupation:

Relationship to interviewer: (I'll just say you are my neighbor--which isn't a lie...in a sense.)

    Questions:

    1. Have you ever drunk alcohol? If so, why?

Again, if you want, you can make up your name, age, and occupation if you wish. It's just I rather not go around my neighborhood, scouting for Christians who drink alcohol. I am not really sure my parents would be up to taking me to do that either. Thanks again!

(I wasn't really sure what section to put this in, so if you have a suggestion for which section would be best, please do so. Thanks again!)

I have a couple of questions I have seemed to get wrong and I need help answering them! It's not for homework. It's a lesson that I got a couple of questions wrong on but it will be coming up for the test so I need help understanding. I got most of them right except for two that I need help on. Thank you!

1.State a true conclusion: 1. if it is June, then it is summer.

    2. It is summer.

What is the conclusion? NOTE: I put it is June, but it was wrong.

2.State a true conclusion: 1. If you accept the hypothesis, you accept the conclusion.

    2. You accept the conclusion.

What is the conclusion? NOTE: I put that you accept the hypothesis--but I got that wrong--so I changed the answer to the whole statement is true since you've accepted both--but I got that wrong, too.

Again, thank you!! I just need help understanding what I did wrong and what the right answers are. I think I am just missing something. Thanks again!! I posted this in the homework section, but I also decided to post it here if it would be any more help understanding. I really appreciate your help. I posted this yesterday, but I tried the answers and it didn't work. I also forgot to mention a pretty important thing. ***********************************the first two following statements of each question is accepted as true************************************…

  • What is laughing gas like?

Tomorrow, I am getting a procedure done where they are pulling out my last baby tooth that refuses to come out and then connecting a chain up to the adult canine tooth and pulling it down throughout 6 weeks. They are giving me a huge dose of pain meds to take an hour before I go in. Then they are giving me laughing gas. He's just super insane, but really nice, and I am not scared or anything. Except for the laughing gas, and I think that's pretty funny because you're supposed to feel relaxed and fine. I guess I am really nervous about what I will say. I don't have any huge secrets, but things I rather not have my oral surgeon hear nor my mother. I know I might be a little unstable after the surgery, but I was just wondering a couple of questions.

    1. Will you talk on laughing gas?

    2. Do you go to sleep or stay awake?

    3. Do you feel anything?

    4. How long does it last after the surgery?

    5. Do you do anything...crazy?

    Thanks so much!

  • Should I send this letter? Advice, please?

Usually, I don't have a lot of problems with my mom, but this time it runs way deeper. I am deathly allergic to cats. And I mean, I break out in hives and have asthma attacks. In fact, recently, I had an asthma attack because of the amount cats we have in our house. My mom is a huge cat person, and I hate cats--which I think I have every right to. When I was little, she used to take me to allergy doctors, and she would always get me tested like she hoped I wasn't allergic to cats anymore. Always, I would end up showing I was once again allergic. Every doctor we go to and tells her that she needs to get rid of the cats, we never go back. To explain my frustration, we have four indoor cats. All that I am extremely allergic to and are all long-haired. Every time I tell my mom, she tells me not to start, that if I was so allergic to cats, then I must be allergic to my dog, too. I've let her get away with that excuse. I have a chihuahua that I have no allergic reactions to. In fact, I recently got tested this year, and it didn't show up that I was allergic to dogs, but still cats extremely. Before, all the doctors have said that I barely show I am allergic, like not really even enough to count, but they're under regulations to tell us anyway. My mom uses that as an excuse, but now she can't use it. Every time I've tried to talk to her about it calmly and ask her to only let there be one indoor cat, and let the rest be outdoor she tells me not to start. Honestly, the reason why I hate cats so much is because of her. When I look at one of the four that we have, I see it as a symbol that she is constantly choosing them over me. It's gotten to the point where I have this bubbling anger, and I am afraid I am going to snap soon. I mean, she is constantly choosing the cats over me. I have asthma attacks, and she just blows them off. The doctors have told her I have allergy-related asthma and it comes from the cats that I am allergic to, but of course, we never go back. I'm tired of this. I want to send her a letter so she can't interrupt me. This is serious, so no, "you're being a baby about this", because I am not. My mom will not listen to me, and she is risking my health over it. I am not joking. One time, I actually almost died of an asthma attack because she brought in a new cat that I was allergic to. I've tried to reason with her in the past. Even though I have every right to demand that she take them to a home where they don't have anyone allergic to them. I can't stand it anymore. I've been sick three weeks with this asthma attack because of a new cat we got. She told me it would be outdoor, but now she lets it in all of the time. She always keeps telling me that she'll make it outdoor, but every time I come home from school, there it is. I don't need the stress of my asthma. I am planning to send her a letter so she can't blow me off in mid-sentence. I plan to give her an ultimatum. I'm done and I am tired of trying to be fair and calm in the past. This is me or the cats, and it sounds ridiculous, but it really isn't. This hasn't been just five years of this. Ever since I was born, I've had trouble with my asthma because of the cats she brings in. She won't stop. And my dad won't stick up for me, because he tells me it's her only "solace" in life. I am her daughter. Does there really need to be a decision, because it always seems like it's the question to life here. I am just wondering if I should really send this letter--and I mean not just write it out and leave it alone. I mean, send it to her. Or try to talk to her again...? I've tried thousands of time, and the only thing that seems that might work is sending her a letter. If she keeps the cats all indoor, then I'll know that I just need to cut her out of my life. Today, she came in my room to use the computer for college work that I have been more than happy to let her use, but I found a cat that I am extremely allergic to sleeping on my bed. I now have to STRIP everything and wash it, or I could have another asthma attack. I'm not exaggerating.

  • Will my cell phone still work...?

I know I already asked this question, but I didn't get any answers to it. So...yeah. Anyway, I am going back to school shopping soon, and my parents said I would have to pay for my own cell phone. I'm fine with that, it's just that I don't really want to spend money on a phone with my back to school money. I have a phone that I got for Christmas 2011. It's a black LG cell phone. It's nothing fancy. Just a flip phone. I lost the charger to it a couple of weeks in. I know...we in the midst of a move, but yeah. I lost it. I don't mind paying for another charger. But I told my mom I wanted to see if I could use my old cell phone, and she said I couldn't. She said that if you don't add time on it for a while, it won't work. I mean, you can't call or text anyone. I was just wondering if this is true or not. I really want to be able to use this phone and just wait until I have enough money saved up where I can get a nicer phone. But I just need to know if using the LG cell phone is out of the plan. I just really need to know if after I charge it, I can still add time to it and call and text normally. Thanks!

  • There are dozens of puncture marks on my thumb. What is this!?

I am kind of freaked. My mom doesn't think it is anything, but I am not sure. So, a couple of weeks ago, it just started out with about maybe two pairs of what looked like spider marks. The skin around it was raised up slightly. It didn't and still doesn't hurt, unless I pressed on it, but it just felt kind of weird. Yesterday, I wake up, and there are dozens of small puncture marks on my thumb. What is this? It seems as if this is spreading. My mom said little warts, but they look like puncture marks. She's a nurse, so what do I know? But it's kind of concerning. I don't have any symptoms of staph or anything of that sort, but I would really like to know. I am going to the Dermatologist on the fifteenth, so if none of the answers on here help, I guess I can wait a little longer, haha. But I am really worried about this. I am just paranoid, I guess. Thanks for any answer!
