If I place the ceiling fan on the lowest setting, it knocks and the entire unit moves. But when it's on medium or high, it doesn't do it. Everything seems perfectly balanced. I just can't figure out why the knocking occurs only in the lowest setting.

It knocks once per rotation.

I have a PA system that I use for meetings and events. I occassionally have an issue with low volume in one speaker. Sound can be heard but it's not nearly as loud as it should be

The speakers are powered, 10 JBL Eon G2's, and are daisy-chained together. My microphones, receivers, mixer, and EQ are all Shure products.

is the problem with my XLR cables or a problem with the speaker?

My kid takes Tae Kwon Do and the school she is going to is bringing over a bunch of Korean kids to visit and train for a week. They've asked for families to host a couple of kids each. We volunteered. I believe we will be hosting two boys, ages 9 or 10 or so.

What should we expect? I want to give them a good American experience but also don't want them to become homesick. Not sure how Korean kids behave.

Any thoughts on this will be helpful.

A friend and I established an LLC in NC last year with the intention of starting up a business. Our plans fell through and we never got the business up and running. Therefore, we received no money at all. Do I still need to file any tax forms with the federal government and/or the state of NC?

I'd hate to spend money submitting tax information for a company that doesn't exist for zero earned money.

I've never worn glasses before but now I have to. I am nearsighted and have a slight astigmatism in each eye. I have a really weak prescription. My vision isn't bad, just not as sharp as it used to be.

Anyway, wearing my glasses, everything looks weird...like I'm looking through a fishbowl. Things look slanted. My computer monitor now looks like its a trapezoid shape.

Here's the kicker...when I close one eye, everything looks fine. When I close the other eye, everything still looks fine. But with both eyes open, everything is weird and distorted.

Any help?

So, I had my resume on on of those job sites. I was contacted by an employer and went to an interview. They seem really interested in hiring me and impressed by me. If offered the job, I'm not sure what I should do.

My current job pays well enough but it has excellent benefits (401k, pension, great medical, excellent vacation and sick days, etc.). The prospective job pays better but it doesn't have a good retirement plan or as good vacation days. Now, if I took the job, I'd jump onto my wife's medical and dental plan but I'm not worried about that. What has me thinking deeply is the 401k, pension, and vacation days.

What do you think? Offer me some advice! THanks.

There's a few intelligent folks here but a whole lot of not-so-intelligent folks. And, you can easily see the difference between the generations. It's almost tangible.

After repairing a hole in the dry wall, I got a near perfect match of the paint. I painted over the area but it is noticeable. How can I blend it in well with the existing paint to not be noticeable?
