Are there any prerequisites? Do i need to be sponsored by a financial company? Do i need a certain type of degree?

The term groupthink was coined by social psychologist Irvin Janis. He documented the following 8 symptoms:

Illusion of invulnerability –Creates excessive optimism that encourages taking extreme risks.

Collective rationalization – Members discount warnings and do not reconsider their assumptions.

Belief in inherent morality – Members believe in the rightness of their cause

Stereotyped views of out-groups – Negative views of “enemy” (or "deniers" in this case) make effective responses to conflict seem unnecessary

Direct pressure on dissenters – Members are under pressure not to express arguments against any of the group’s views.

Self-censorship – Doubts and deviations from the perceived group consensus are not expressed.

Illusion of unanimity – The majority view and judgments are assumed to be unanimous.

Self-appointed ‘mindguards’ – Members protect the group and the leader from information that is problematic or contradictory to the group’s cohesiveness, view, and/or decisions.

When the above symptoms exist in a group trying to make a decision, there is a reasonable chance that groupthink will happen. You can make a strong argument that the global warming fallacy can fall into each and every single one of Janis' symptoms.

What happens if there does turn out to be a god afterall? Will he send me to hell for not believing, even though i lived my life as a good person and productive member of society?

If that's the way your God operates, screw him! I'd rather rot in the ground when my day arrives.

Contrary to what the "experts" say on TV, the science is far from proven but anyone who disagrees with this hoax is laughed at. They make it seem like your denying the holocaust and its not fair.

I studied buck v. bell in my constitutional law class and was taken back at the great integrity the Supreme Court had back in the 20's and 30s. In a ten year span the court approved the sterilization of individuals with criminal history (3 or more felonies) and the mentally handicapped (3 generations of "imbeciles" as per Justice Holmes).

Think really hard about that and tell me how much better the world would be....

My little sister is 14 and she believes in Global Waming and Loves Barack Obama. I'm starting to see that teachers dont encourage free thought, but rather try to impose their personal views on the students they are teaching. And it's working.

Same goes for church school. My sister also goes to Sunday School and thinks God is real. Should i say something?

Im in the playoffs, down 18 points and already had Forte play. Whoose my best option for a 20+ point performance? I wanna go with Johnson, because he's gotten me over 20 for 2 weeks in a row, but the MJD situation is very enticing. What should i do?

I'm leaning towards johnson because he's had extra rest (last game was thanksgiving) and slaton just played on monday.

Also, Johnson is at home and slaton is on the road.

Only concern i have is that johnson splits carries with Lendale White and White always steals his touchdowns!

I heard it on the radio and they didnt say what it was called.

The only words are either "now, now, now now, now" or "down, down, down, down, down"

I couldnt make it out.
