3. I love nature and where I live (lightning bugs, sunsets, thunderstorms, rainbows…WOW!)

4. I love people, especially good hearted souls and those who make us laugh

5. And I especially love cheese cake! And chocolate.

I sat outside 2 nights ago and saw puffy clouds on the horizon. The sun was behind them in such a way as to throw a massive fan up into the sky, great beams of shadow & light! It was so beautiful, I ran to get the camera!

Then the sun set, leaving darkness that lit up the sky all around me with an approaching storm. I watched as the strikes grew closer and brighter, staying until the first fat raindrops fell.

How about you? What has captivated you?

The breeze is swaying the trees ever so slightly. Sun is shining... The most beautiful thing I see is Green all around me! I LOVE all the green!

When things got bad and money got tight, I quit doing fun things, especially for myself. It had a much greater impact on my family and myself than I realized. Now I do things to make myself happy. Even little things matter, like candle light bath with music and incense. My happiness impacts my family, and we all gain.

It can be very satisfying to help others, but you matter too. So, what are you doing for you to show yourself you really matter?

Mom watched MD shows; Marcus Welby, Medical Center… Women often needed rescue, but one was so dramatic, “I want help!.. No I don't!... wait, yes I do!... Oh never mind!” Running away, she suddenly fainted right in doc’s arms. He didn't even have to carry her-a gurney was next to him! It seemed sexy so, at fourteen, I practiced swooning! I'd go through the scenario, then “Flop” gracefully onto my bed. Never knew what to do next, so on to the next fainting, “Flop!”

I grew up, joined the army, and aimed for a career. There was a record heat when I was pregnant. The sergeant was scolding us, saying the next to move or talk in formation would lose a stripe! I suddenly felt funny. My side began to tingle, but I didn't want to move. I waited. But the sensation increased! Sight fading, I turned to leave just as my body weakened. I grabbed a solder to steady myself, but collapsed instead, dropping like a stone, pulling him on top of me! It was NOT graceful Or sexy! It was just embarrassing!

My favorites are;

1. The capacity to sacrifice one's life for someone unknown.

2. The ability to sustain love beyond one's self.

3. The ingenuity to create magnificent works of art.

4. Our ability to heal, despite brutal circumstances.

5. And our great capacity to forgive, even under the cruelest conditions.

What is your dream?

I have!

I cannot tell how many times! But not recently, thank goodness.

Getting too close still makes me nervous, but I find I'm beginning to open up again. It took me a long time to get here, but I won’t allow treachery to triumph! If I become secluded, a loner, or close my heart, evil wins… and so do my abusers. That’s unacceptable to me.

So I work especially hard to heal the deep wounds. I must admit, I'm surprised how long it takes though. Are you triumphing over distrust or any other obstacle left by someone?

I just love my tea! When I do drink alcohol, it's a screwdriver or an occasional strawberry daiquiri.

I went back after many years and discovered this was true. There was a monument by the park that all the kids climbed on. It was a Very big deal to make it to the top... but I never did. Then we moved.

When I went back many years later, I expected to see this very tall monument, but I was greatly surprised to find something that hardly reached my chest! Nothing was like I remembered at all!

Mine wasThumbelina because I just Loved Fairies!

And Christmas. I loved Christmas because we were all together and having so much fun and Food and, of course, GIFTS!
