I looked around the new room where I was staying, and it was real nice and... blank, the way a thing is before you put any time into it. I thought, I could live a whole new life here. I could invent a whole new me. I could be Barbara if I wanted to, not Echo. I could become Robinson Crusoe, and adapt myself to a strange and harsh environment. I could live without the one thing I wanted. But I kept hearing your voice that said, “I love you, and I failed you” I hate that sound. And I will never settle for it, because no one failed me. No one ever failed me. I’m your daughter. That’s what I choose to be. Someone who loves you. Someone who can make you love me. Nearly all of the time.

Okay. So my drama teacher has a few requirements for our monologues. They are...

• must show at least two emotions

• must be no more than one minute long

• age appropriate

• must be from a published play and she said she will accept one from a movie since its our first assignment.

• I feel like I should say this extra clearly she said ABSOLUTELY NO MONOLOGUE BOOKS. NO MONOLOGUES THAT AREN'T FROM A PLAY OR MOVIE.

Okay. So I am 14 and female. Pretty please help me. I'm so lost right now. I don't know where to look.

So I had scoliosis surgery two months ago and my last period ended about a week before the surgery. I'm 14 and got my first period about a year ago (and a virgin) so I'm definitely not too worried about not having it in awhile. I'm just wondering if the surgery could have something to do with it. I'm really thinking its most likely the fact that I've only had mine a year and its still adjusting, but there's really no harm in asking. Soooo...please answer my question. Thank you so much! :D

So. I'm fourteen and I kind of want to get my hair permed. I've always wanted curly or wavy hair and now I'm finally allowed to. But should I? I've never dyed my hair and I only straighten/curl on pretty rare occasion, so my hair is really healthy. I don't want unhealthy hair. Do perms typically dry your hair out?

One more thing. I love God and I understand that what he's given me is a gift. I've pretty much always been told this, but please refrain from rants about how God made me the I am and how changing myself would be wrong.

We had to write a haiku about a childhood memory and incorporate alliteration. It's for a big grade. Is this okay....? Or okayish....?

I've been really upset because I can feel mine and my moms bond just crumbling into pieces. I've also had to deal with the normal school stress...grades, kids at school, etc. I try talking to my mom but she just makes me angry now. Just being alone in the same room as her makes me angry. One other thing that upsets me are my siblings. Mainly my little sisters. They're 9 and 7. I'm 14. They always tell me I'm ugly or I'm gross looking cause I'm too skinny or that nobody likes me. It didn't bother me at first since they were just little kids but now that they're older it hurts more. In the past few days I've started to deal with all that by scratching my arms. Not deep scratches. Like I have a bug bite that itches (except no itch) and I just keep scratching and scratching. so far I've only bled once and it was like a bead of blood. Other than that it just leaves these weird marks. Should I get help? Does anybody else do this?

What do you do? What do you learn? Does it prepare you for anything really important? I don't know.....:/ Please help!

It's really a simple question. Do you think that 13 year olds should date? Like not make out session, icky dating. More like two people that like each other a whole lot and hold hands...and possibly a few little kisses. I'm really mature for my age but my parents don't let us date. There's a boy I like and he asked me out and I said yes. Neither one of us are supposed to date so it's really a secret relationship...I feel bad about it but I really really like him..so I'm just gonna go with it. Am I a terrible person? And I was just wondering what you guys think. Thanks:)

Okay, so I'm 13 and I like fishnet tights but at the same time I feel like people would think I'm a slut for wearing them. I think they're cute if you wear them the right way but I just want some input from other people. Tell me what you think about fishnets and a 13 year old possibly wearing them. Please no rude comments or anything. It's a question. Not somewhere you can rant about how 'some girls are just so slutty these days'. Thanks! <3

I don't think it would be a good idea to use pads while I'm dancing all day long but I really don't want to use tampons just yet. What do you think I should do??? Again, I'm sure this makes me look like a dork but I don't really care. :P Thanks SOOO much!!!!!!

I haven't worn my wig for awhile (6 or 7 months) and my hair got a little bit blonder. (I've never bleached or dyed my hair.) I don't have the money to get a new wig right now so I was wondering if anybody knows any (cheap) tricks I could use to make my hair match the wig again. It's a full head wig so not much of my hair is showing. Please help! I have shows and a competition coming up. :) Thanks so much!!!

If I buy a phone and it doesn't say it's specifically for cricket but they have the same phone will it work with cricket?

i got this feather hair extension that attaches with a little comb. i can't figure out how to get in my hair.:( you don't have to tell me i'm a dummy...i already know...just please tell me how to put it my hair! it's driving me insane! thank you SOO much!! =P
