  • Health benefits of owning a dog?

Hi there! My birthday is coming up and I REALLY want a dog! Haha, every little girls fantasy! I suffer from depression, Anxiety and 3 different eating disorders, so I feel like a companion who will always have my back and comfort me is something that I really, really need. MY parents are almost on board, but I felt that if I found some studies proving that Dos do help with these conditions in the sense of soothing and such, it will really drive the argument home. Anything showing the goodness and helpfulness of dogs would be very helpful! Thank you in advance!

  • Detoxifying Tea? Help anyone?

Hi there, in a few days I am doing the Master Cleanse. I want to rid my body of the tonxins that it has picked up, especially over the holiday season! The cleanse instructs to use a laxative tea every night before bed and I had a question about it. When the laxative tea works and you have to go to the bathroom, is it an irresisitible urge or is it like when you usually have to go to the bathroom just more frequently and looser? Is it like when you're on your period and you can't control it? Thank you!

  • Holiday Help, Anyone?

Hi there! As everyone knows (unless you live under a rock..) Christmas was yesterday. And like all others with a soul, I have been over indulging. On Christmas eve I ate about 2,000 extra calories, on Christmas I ate about 2,000 extra calories, and today I ate about 600 extra calories. How many pounds am I going to gain from all of this overeating? And what are some tips on losing the weight? Thanks in advance! :)

  • Body image help please?

Hi there. I am in recovery from Anorexia because I was apparently under weight, but when I look in the mirror I see a muffin top and a flabby stomach. I am 5'6 and weight 116 pounds. I can't help but compare myself to those around me and notice how much skinnier they are than me. Why is this happening? I am currently at a stable weight after being on a meal plan for a few months, but I feel overweight and fat. Help anybody? Why was I diagnosed Anorexic when I think that I'm fat?

  • Question for teenagers?

Hi, I am a 14 year-old girl recovering from Anorexia. Lately I have been having a lot of trouble because I have been counting calories without really trying. The result is me not eating "bad" foods and my body feeling deprived which leads to binges that make me feel terrible. I go to a therapist and a nutritionist who both know about what is happening and have told me to reach out to people my age to ask- what do you eat on a normal day? What do you do for exersize? Is how you eat normal? Thank you SO much in advance. I just want to feel normal around food again and not like I am going to gain ten pounds if I eat a bag of chips. Thanks again.

  • What comes to mind when you meet a Virgo girl?

Just wondering. Horoscopes really interest me. What is your view of a Virgo girl?

  • Dinner question??????

Today I went to the mall and had Panda Express. When I got home, I became interested and checked the nutrition information online. I had had a dinner of approximately 1,200 calories. I had fried rice, chow mein and chicken with veggies. Beside this, today I had 1/2 cup of beans, triscuts a chicken sandwich on sprouted whole wheat, grapes, pistachios toast w/ peanut butter and an apple (apprx. 790 calories in itself.) I weight 120 pounds and I shopped for about 3 hours today. I was wondering if I was going to gain weight from this out of the ordinary high calorie dinner? Thanks

  • Pig out session question?

Hi there. Last night after eating dinner, I went a little crazy and ate like 7 tablespoons of Peanut Butter. And some animal crackers. I am not on a diet or anything and I usually consume about 1,300 calories per day, these little session brought me to about 2,000 calories- which I know is pretty average. I was just wondering if eating so much is going to make me gain weight, or since it is still inside the recommended daily calorie intake I will not gain any weight at all. If it helps, I am a teen girl. Thanks!

  • Iphone Question?? Help?

I have a Verizon Droid X and my 2 year contract isn't up until June. Can I buy an iPhone 4S from Amazon and then go to the verizon store and have them switch my data over (Since iPhones don't have Sim cards.)? Or will they make me pay the early term. fee? Or, can I not get my data switched over anyway, should I just get the iPhone from Amazon and call in and tell them I am now using it? Thanks.

  • iPhone question? Early termination?

Okay, so I really want the iPhone (just the 4, even though the 5 is coming out) but I am currently in the middle of my 2 year contract with Verizon. I would buy the iPhone from Amazon or something, but since the iPhone doesn't have an SD card, so I can't switch it from my Droid X to that, it would be silly. Right? This brings me to my question, if I buy the iPhone online from Amazon and went into the Verizon store and asked for them to switch the information over, would it cost me the early term. fee? Or since I bought it from Amazon, they would just switch it over no questions asked? Thank you.

  • Woken up from Chest pain?

Okay, so I am a thirteen year old girl and last night I was woken up in the middle of the night to pain in the left side of my chest (Very far over, like under my armpit and reaching slightly towards the middle of my chest.) I have seen a cardiologist before, because I have had, in recent months, had chest pain. BUt that pain has came and went and the pain that i experienced last night was very random. If it helps, I am slightly underweight (and seeing a nutritionist) and have little emotional issues, but my head (For the most part, lol) in right on my shoulders, were it should be. Does anyone have any idea what this pain was? IT woke me up from a very deep sleep, and I don't believe it was muscle because i haven't really done any physical activity in the last few days. Serious Answers. Thank you.

  • What's a healthier dinner?

So, I'm going out to dinner tonight and I was wondering which of these two options sounded even the slightest bit healthier. The two options are House Salad (no dressing) w/ grilled chicken on top or a garden burger (on a whole grain roll) with tomato, sautéed onion, mushrooms, lettuce, roasted red pepper and alfalfa sprouts. I can also get a side salad w/ the burger, but it would be small and have no dressing (I prefer using mustard) So, which sounds healthier? Thanks.

  • Is this a healthy dinner?

For dinner tonight, I had a subway sandwich on wheat. On the sandwich I had buffalo chicken and all of the veggies. I didn't have any dressing or cheese. I had a seltzer with it. I was wondering if this sounds like a pretty healthy meal?
