  • Can two people with mental illness still have a well functioning relationship?(Depression/schizophrenic)?

Recently been diagnosed with Major Depression Disorder(has been ongoing problem since teens). My boyfriend who is a bit older than me has schizophrenia. I love him very much and want to continue the relationship, but my family is set on the idea he is not good enough for me. When we are together I am happier and he has less episodes. When he does have episodes he can occasionally cause me to have an episode and vice versa. We are now both on meds and going to separate therapy sessions, and may be starting couples therapy. If we want it to work bad enough can it still work with these issues, or should I listen to mother and father and find a more stable man who I will be his burden instead? Any suggestions would be great.

  • What should I say to my mother about moving? Please help?

Okay so I started dating this guy in September in moved out of my parents to live with him and a friend. They didn't like the living conditions there so they convinced my mentally disabled uncle that buying a house and renting to me would be a good investment. Unfortunately, I am now living in this house with my sister, and we can only afford to pay him 50 dollars more then the mortgage. This means he is making 50 bucks a month on his "investment". he has used the money from it to fix are washer and get new doors.

I am starting to feel like a burden, I know that the house he could easily make 500 a month on if he rented it to other people. I am trying to move because of this, to the beach to stay with a friend. My mother however is angry at this because the house was bought for me. But I never asked for help I want to prove I can do something on my own, I don't have to earn really anything. I don't know what to say to her to let me go. She says I am not being a burden on them unless I move, but i know it is stressing my uncle out, and I want to help my friend.

  • My Female dog keeps peeing on my bed!?

My dog is 71/2 year old jack Russell/ chi mix. She had done very well not peeing at my parents house but when me and my boyfriend moved she started having accidents. understandable in a new house. We again housebroke her and no more accidents but then me and my boyfriend started fighting and she began to pee on his side of the bed religiously. I have recently kicked my boyfriend out and her accidents stopped. However, we broke up yesterday so he was over and we were fighting no accidents but then today shee peed again on the bed in his spot. I have cleaned the mattress. i am no longer sleeping on that bed and she has not peed on the bed in the other room where I sleep just on the one we both use to sleep on. Is it his smell, did I not clean it enough. is she stressed what can I do for her. I am fairly confident it is not UTI as she just has a check-up and her urinating seems normal. It's just on the bed. I am planning on getting a new mattress I just don't want her to pee on it so I need this problem fixed before I can get it.

  • I've kicked my boyfriend out for a week now what?

I have an unmotivated couch potato forgetful and selfish boyfriend who I still love. However, even though I still have feelings for him I resent him and don't respect him he annoys me just sitting in the room. I kicked him out of my house for a week to think things over and have my space. I have come to my decision but I want to be as nice as possible. His mother is now involved and after this week he will have no place to go. I feel responsible for what happens to him but at the same time I know he will love himself more than he will ever love me. He has already posted that he has changed and grown up on Facebook even though hes been gone since yesterday afternoon. No one can grow over night it's ridiculous. What do I say to him to let him down gently.

  • What should I say to my unmotivated boyfriend?

I have been with my boyfriend for a little over eight months we've been living together since january. I helped him find his job back in november and now he makes excuses not to go so he can chill at home. I work part-time and go to school full time. He works maybe 15 hours a week as a server if he goes all the days he is scheduled. If I am gone all day at work or school and he is off I still come home to a dirty house and hes on the couch. I pay for more than 75% of the bills I never get to spend a cent of my paycheck on myself. But still I love him and if I dump him he will be homeless. I'm not sure what to do. Sorry about the long post.

  • What kind of bird should I get?

I am looking into a pet bird. I have had small mammals the past few years but would like to have a bird. I raised seven ducklings a couple years ago which I hatched out of eggs it was very rewarding.

I understand that birds are affectionate and that even with this in mind a parrot probably will not bond to me like my ducklings did. However, I am not sure what kind of bird I would like. I have had several while I was young including, cockatiels, parakeets, ring necks, parrotlets, conures, and canaries.

I want to have one of these again but I am not sure which one I want. I haven't had birds in a while and I want something colorful, affectionate, and requires ample time for care, I also want as little noise as possible but after having birds and ducks quacking at two in the morning in my room I am sure I can work around it.

I am also open to any other bird suggestions as well. I am looking at a 300 dollar price range.

  • Moving to San Francisco what will annual cost of living be?

I am thinking of moving to SF after I am done with College and I have a couple questions. I want to be close to the city, no farther north than Union Square. About what is rent for those areas I've been doing research but have conflicting prices. I am an interior design student and am wondering what the job market for us out there is and what pay I could expect. I have looked on craigslist but want to see if anyone has any other quotes. I will be moving most likely with a room mate. I will also have a small dog she weighs 12 pounds, is dog food expensive there. I am also interested on cost of food I have heard that produce is reasonable but grocery store necessities are expensive. Considering that I can not eat processed foods ie. bread, pasta, doritos etc. What will be a monthly food bill for myself and my dog. I will not have a car as I see very little point so will be taking public transportation. I am stingy with money and would probably do little from working and occasionally watching t.v. Maybe twice a week I'd eat out and once every two weeks I 'd go to a show or museum. Also what kind of dog friendly parks are near the city and Union square. I think thats it to my question it was long sorry.

  • Should I go out with him again?

I went out with this guy on a date for valentine's day. He is really sweet but a little eccentric, he is also six years older than me. I told him after the date that I really would love to be his friend more than be a couple. On monday I had an accident I cut my hand, I went to the hospital and called him to see if he could fill in for me at work. He said he would fill in for me and he'd be at the hospital in 10 minutes. He got there and they allowed him to sit with me and come back. He held me and was on the verge of tears while they numbed my hand and gave me stitches. He came back to my house to make sure I was okay and got me ice cream and candy. I don't know if I like him or if I am just idolizing him as my hero or savior momentarily. Any help with this would be great.

  • Traumatized rat is vicious what do I do.?

My little brother got a small rat for his pet snake (ya i now it shouldn't be fed live food your preachen to the converted). Anyways the snake refused to eat the rats to my relief. I have 3 other pet rats two girls one male. The male lives alone on account of vicious temperament. Well we decided to keep the rat that the snake wouldn't eat, she had the snifffels so we quarantined her for a few days. she has been fine she sits in my lil sisters hands eats treats and all nice rat stuff, but today she turned vicious and tried to bite my sister several times. She almost broke the skin. I don't no what to do i have never had a rat behave like this and we have owned seven rats in the past and i haven't encountered this. is she traumatized from being with the snake, or is she just vicious. She has been away from the snake for nearly 5 days and had no injuries she seems perfectly healthy besides the sniffels which i have encountered disperse after two weeks. So what should i do any suggestions would be great.
