What are you thankful for this year?
I have had an eye opening year, mainly good-though it had it's rough patches. In February I broke my ankle very badly and was laid up in a cast for almost 4 months, then at the end of August my husband and I lost our first baby while I was 10 weeks pregnant (he/she was ectopic and ruptured almost killing me)..But through it all I have learned what an amazing family and group of friends I have been blessed with! So that's what I'm thankful for-my family and friends, and of course my health. So what about you?
4 AnswersThanksgiving1 decade agoHow long did it take you to successfully conceive?
At the end of this past August I learned I had an ectopic pregnancy that had ruptured, I was 10 weeks. When the baby ruptured, the tube was so badly damaged (my right one) the doctor had to remove it. My question is: Have any of you gone through this too? If so did you have children after all this and how long did it take you to conceive again? Any tips I should be using?
And: I know this is such an annoying question, but I have got to get some opinions-because Lord knows my husband and I are ready and wanting a baby badly. October 31 was the first day of my last period. I know it's still early and I will test at home if needed, but I have been having mood swings (really bad, one minute I'm mad, the next I'm laughing, then all of a sudden I'm crying!), my areolas are larger but not really darker-though the color is different, my gums bleed some now when I brush my teeth though I am not pressing any harder, I have been having waves of nausea, and I have been having lower back pain. Could this be a sign we were blessed again, hopefully this time with a baby in the end? I'm not sure symptoms personally because with the first I didn't experience many symptoms at all. Thanks girls though for all your help! If you're preggo good luck, I wish the best for you and your baby..If you're TTC I'm spreading baby dust your way-good luck!!
3 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoDo you think I'm miscarrying?
Sorry if this seems like a redundant question, but I am hoping you guys can give me a peace of mind..So we are around 9 weeks along and yesterday I started bleeding a bit heavy. I figured it was ok again, because around 4-5 weeks we bled a bit and the doctor said it was my body still trying to regulate and everything. Well this time though there was a significant amount of blood and there weren't huge clots like I have read or been told there will be if we miscarry, but there are like grain sized clots and from what I saw there was one clot that was in the toilet (TMI I know, I'm sorry) but I am unsure of how big it was to be certain. There isn't any cramping though either. I am not supposed to see the Dr. until the 4th of September, should I just wait and see or should I call them Monday(tomorrow) morning and see if I can get in sooner? What do you guys think is happening? I am trying not to be too stressed out, but this is driving me nuts. My husband and I are ecstatic to have this baby and I don't know how I could tell him if we did miscarry..I had a co-worker tell me she didn't know she was pregnant for a while because she had full on periods, did any of you have this and everything turned out to be ok? Thank you all for any help you can give me, I truly appreciate it. And for those of you that have miscarried, I am truly sorry it happened to you, this is horrible enough =( Thanks again ladies! =)
4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoBetter Cell Phone Reception?
I use a cell phone as my main phone and I get horrible reception in my house..I know it's not just my phone either because this is my second phone, one that the dealer said is known for it's "awesome reception abilities" and my brother and mother's cell phones also get poor reception. I know you can buy those in home towers from the dealer, but ours will cost like $300 and it seems SO expensive..Any other ideas or places I can buy something like that, that will actually work? Also I know it's not the service because we live in a small town and I have been with a carrier that has the most service in our little town. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance =)
2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoShock Collars or Invisible Electric Fence?
We have two dogs that are both very active a lab retriever and a mini dachshund..We would like to be able to let them run the yard without running off, getting into any trouble, or bothering anyone so we are considering shock collars or maybe an invisible fence. I would like opinions from people who may have used either or of these devices so I know what to look for, watch out for, and any advice in general you have on them. Our lab is 60+ lbs. and our dachshund is only 9 lbs. so we need something that will suffice for them both. I would love to be able to take them with us on family trips like to our cottage, so we thought collars would be better..but will either of these devices really hurt the dogs? We don't want to inflict pain, just a shock to let them know they are misbehaving when they run off. So let me know what you know..And thank you in advance! =)
12 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWhy did you name your child that?
I am just wondering, what did you name your child or children and why did you name them that? Did the name have meaning behind it, or was it something you just liked and chose? Do they have cute nicknames from their full name now?
I just want to see what you all have to say and what kind of great names your kids were given =) Thank you!
12 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoQuick question on some baby names =)?
Well my hubby and I decided that we liked the name Bradley Patrick for a boy years ago when we we're still dating-now that we're married and TTC we still love it, but we're just wondering what other people think when they hear the name. What about the name Rosemarie Ann? Is is too old fashioned and blah? Some people we know didn't seem too keen on it, but I still love it (I love the name Rose and Marie is my middle name, and Ann would be after both of our mothers). So it's kinda sentimental for us. Bradley was a name my hubby and I just love and have always loved and Patrick is his middle name. Any ideas or input on this? Thank you in advance-I appreciate it all =)
