How long did it take you to successfully conceive?

At the end of this past August I learned I had an ectopic pregnancy that had ruptured, I was 10 weeks. When the baby ruptured, the tube was so badly damaged (my right one) the doctor had to remove it. My question is: Have any of you gone through this too? If so did you have children after all this and how long did it take you to conceive again? Any tips I should be using?

And: I know this is such an annoying question, but I have got to get some opinions-because Lord knows my husband and I are ready and wanting a baby badly. October 31 was the first day of my last period. I know it's still early and I will test at home if needed, but I have been having mood swings (really bad, one minute I'm mad, the next I'm laughing, then all of a sudden I'm crying!), my areolas are larger but not really darker-though the color is different, my gums bleed some now when I brush my teeth though I am not pressing any harder, I have been having waves of nausea, and I have been having lower back pain. Could this be a sign we were blessed again, hopefully this time with a baby in the end? I'm not sure symptoms personally because with the first I didn't experience many symptoms at all. Thanks girls though for all your help! If you're preggo good luck, I wish the best for you and your baby..If you're TTC I'm spreading baby dust your way-good luck!!

Oh I really, really hope this is it for you. I really hope that you have conceived. That would be so awesome for you and your husband. I have my fingers crossed for you!

It does sound like early pregnancy. And hopefully it is.

I have never gone through anything like this. But I am also done having my babies ( 3 of them, the youngest only being 7 weeks ) and am getting my tubes tied soon.

    Good luck and god bless.

i too had an ectopic pregnancy and had to have my right ovary and tube removed the DR told me i would conceive again but it was going to take time well i 2 yrs or so i conceived again but had to have it terminated since it was another ectopic on my left side so i stopped ttc for a year but now i have been TTC for 6 months so far nothing yet

but all the symptoms your having sound promising i hope you do get that BFP soon but try not to get your hopes up to much because it hurts so much when you see that NEG test or AF i actually thought we conceived this month i was almost 2 weeks late for AF with all the symptoms you had but then she showed with strong cramps

Good Luck and lots of BABY DUST !!!

well you shouldn't expect your areolas to darken in an early pregnancy i didn't experience nausea until i missed my period most of the time symptoms don't start until about 6 weeks of pregnancy just wait until your period is late and take a test GOOD LUCK
