I'm looking for the words to a poem, I think.?
Back in the early 80's, my dad gave my brother a plaque for a gift. He had customized it with his surname. Under that was a poem or some sort of saying. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to remember even one line of it so I can try to find it, but I do remember the gist of it. It talked about how a father passes down a gift to his son. when he gives it to him it is respectable, and unsullied. And, how it is important that his son keeps it untarnished so he can pass it down to his son later. Its talking about the passing on of the family name. My dad doesn't remember it at all, and my brother lost it in Florida in some flooding. Now I'm trying to find it to give it to a soon to be father. Any help?
2 AnswersQuotations1 decade agoLooking for lyrics to Christian song. Can you help?
I know the chorus. It goes like this:
What I have is a soul bought by His blood and sanctified
What I have is a little pool of tears that I cried
And I won't forget the day I traded all my sins away
For what I have
For what I have.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoRequired reading for 8th grade in 1977 or 1978?
When I was in junior high English, in 1977 or 78, I had to read a book and I can't remember the title, but I would like to read it aloud to my kids. It was about a rodeo guy who was of American Indian decent. He left rodeoing to go into the mountains and get back to his Indian heritage. I don't remember much else about the story except that I really enjoyed it. You know, it was like an American Indian version of Jeremiah Johnson. Any help in tracking down this title would be greatly appreciated.
2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWhere can I get a 12 volt to 3 volt power adapter?
I want to use a electronic 3 volt device from a 12 volt car battery so it will run much longer. I am going to install a air bubbler in my boat (the portable type with a few feet of hose and a air stone on the end to be placed in any minnow bucket and keep them alive). They sell a 12 volt aerator for $40 but I am trying to go with the cheaper $10 style so I can just pitch it when it no longer works and replace it without taking a $40 loss each time. Where do I buy one?

4 AnswersHistory1 decade agoWhere are people learning to write these days?
I've seen several comments on poor grammar and spelling. However, nobody has mentioned the people that begin there answers with, "um." Don't they know that uhh and umm are actually poor verbal habits? Why would they start a written answer that way? Its very distracting. What do you all think?

9 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade ago1993 Toyota Camry anti theft radio. I need to know how to make it work again after unhooking the battery?????
I thought that the radio in this car was just broke so I left it alone. It has always worked on AM so I figured that was good enough. Then I needed to work on my engine and the book I got from the library warns about unhooking the battery and needing to reset the radio with a secret code. I dont have the code and am wondering if someone out there knows how to override the system to get it going again. The book from the library does not tell you because this was intended to keep people from stealing these radios. If anyone out there will help me out I would appreciate it.
3 AnswersCar Audio1 decade ago1993 Toyota Camry wagon owners, please let me know what you think of your car. I will be test driving one soon
I have been looking at cars for several months now and have narrowed it down to a Volvo with around 100,000 miles on it(around $3000) from 1987 to 1995 is what hits my budget max. Or a Toyota Camry 1993 or newer of the same price range. I have a opportunity to purchase a 93 camry wagon for $2000. It looks good and I need to check the drive train over good and was hoping to get the inside scoop from a knowledgeable person out there on what to look out for. All I am interested in are wagons, and can not exceed $3500. I figure if the motor falls apart in this car I could get it rebuilt for less than $1500 so I think the price is alright. Any info on this car would be appreciated. It is a 1993 Camry v6 le with 115,000 miles one broken off door handle and a small dent in the lower passenger door.
5 AnswersToyota1 decade agoI have a 1984 mariner 50 outboard with a tach that needs adjustment. How do I find actual motor rpms to set it
The tach has a screw on the back that changes the needle position on the guage and it does adjust it and works fine. I just dont know how to find out what the actual rpms are in order to syncronize it to my motor. I am hoping there is a tool or something that will be easy to use to do this. The screw has the numbers 1,2,3,4 written around it something like a clock. This tach is a factory piece of equipment and is hooked into my motor through a plug in my controll box. This motor is the same as a Mercury 45. It is 4 cylinder.
