  • salsa in food processor?

I'm a noob to cooking. I am trying to make a salsa recipe that involves lots of different peppers. I want to keep all the seeds since I like my eyes to be red and my whole face to be searing when eating (yes Indian)

Can I just chop up all the peppers into like smaller pieces (bell peppers, poblano, serrano etc.) and throw it in the processor? There are all these youtube videos on elaborate ways to cut these things, but does it really matter if I am throwing it in a processor or are there some inedible parts of it that I need to take out?

  • how to hang dry clothes?

so i've had some problems with shirts and jeans shrinking in the laundry, so I am thinking of washing them only in cold water (and someone suggested add fabric softener to the washer), and then hang drying them, but inside my house since I don't have a clothlesline or yard

Is there anything I need to know about hang drying?

    1. Can I literally just put them on hangers in the closet, or should I put them upside down and have a fan blowing on them etc? Or will they not get enough air circulation in the closet versus just in the open somewhere in teh house

    2. WHat are some tricks so that they don't become all stiff and wrinkly?

    3. Will I need to iron each time if I hang dry?

    thanks.

  • if I earn 45K a year, how much will I pay in taxes?

assuming I have no deductions, i calculated it out to be 7K income, 3K state and 3K SS/Medicare.

However I am assuming most companies cover SS/Medicare, and I am looking for ways to realistically minimize my taxes. How do I reduce my taxable incomes- open up retirement accounts etc? What are some loopholes brahs?

  • will a "traffic camera speeding ticket" be a misdemeanor in Louisiana?

I received a ticket for going like 10 mph over the speed limit and was tagged by Camera's over the red light. I had to pay the 140 dollar fine. Is it true that ALL speeding violations are considered misdemeanors (including this) by Louisiana law?

because according to this site, it is.

    http://www.nhtsa.gov/people/injury/enforce/speedla...

Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks

  • anyone know a site like mint.com, but for "fantasy financial portfolios"?

So basically this is what I'm trying to do. I just read the book "millionaire next door" and I am now interested in personal finance and managing money.

I am 22 years old, don't have credit cards or bank accounts (I'm a student and my parents pay), and I will be in school for another 8-10 years to become a physician. I'm looking for a free personal finance site, where I can essentially make "theoretical" or "fantasy" financial decisions. Like for example, if I assume that I will make 250,000 a year at age 30, I would love to have a "fantasy" portfolio that shows how I could budget that, from paying student loans, to theoretical mortgages/car payments and investments (that make fundamental assumptions of like average 8% return compounded annually). I'd love to see how my 401k/roth ira would possibly add up too by age 60 etc, and how frugally I need to live to achieve my goals. That way I could see what a more frugal lifestyle looks like, what a reckless style of spending would lead, and what a moderate style would be like. Tweaking around with this stuff now could defintiely help me in the future, so I don't become like 90+% of doctors out there who are horrific with finances and live way above their means, and end up with little retirement savings.

Mint.com only works with real money, and actual bank accounts/credit cards. is there a site where I can play around with a budget of theoretical money to plan ahead for my finances. Something that is above simple calculators etc, but a complex site like mint.com that really takes into account lots of things. Thanks!

  • will I become sterile if you use my laptop too much?

I am a professional, and use my laptop many hours (5+) during the day. Should I never put it on my lap, at the risk of heat and radiation building up on my ballzzzz causing me to be sterile and not have kids one day??

  • question about verizon family plan.?

right now I am paying $60 dollars a month for verizon for a 400-per-month plan.My sister has a phone, and my dad for whatever reason has her on a separate 400-per month plan, and she also plays 60. Does Verizon have some sort of deal where we can share the 400 minutes and pay 60 together instead of individually?

  • dentists: why isn't tongue cleaning part of a dentist's recommendations?

I am from an Indian background, and tongue-cleaning is huge using plastic tongue cleaner. it does wonders to keep fresh breath and kill germs. Why isn't it part of the daily oral hygiene recommendations of the ADA, in addition to brushing with fluoride tpaste and flossing? Is it not that useful?
