Is it because the people who don't support feminism believe in the stereotypical version of it? or do they not understand feminism is here solely to support gender equality?

I decided I wanted to join the navy when I get out high school and try to get into a undergraduate program and study medicine, I'm only 16 right now and was planning on talking to recruiter when I turned 17 or around that time but my parents don't really want me to join the military. Part of the reason is because I'm a black female and they are worried about prejudices I might face and that I will go in trying to study medicine and end up not being able to because I might get kicked out of the program for getting a bad grade. They told me to give them some good reasons as to why I should join the navy and why I want to. They also wanted me to look at the cons of joining the navy. Can anyone tell me the pros and cons to joining the navy and what to realistically expect in joining?

Also I won't be able to get my parents to talk to any recruiters because they figure that the recruiter is probably going to say anything to get me to join, so that's out of the option.

I have this idea for a story and it sets in more of a fantasy type world so of course when describing objects or places you usually put in a good amount of detail so the reader can understand since it's not the modern world. Well I am probably the worst person at describing objects and places, I can picture everything in my head but the words just don't come out in a way where you can picture it and would probably be confused or get a bland image in your head. I'm not sure how to go about wording the descriptions and if I were to describe a elephant I would probably write something poorly like "The large elephant was grey and it's skin was rough"<-----Ugh! How do I fix that! Please Help My Extremely Poor Description Ability!

So I have two dogs who are toy poodles and my friends dog who is some type of Chihuahua mix and he is kind of jumpy but is getting along fine with my other dogs. Anyways he has started marking territory in my house at first it was outside so I didn't mind but he just recently peed on my dogs' bed. what should I do so he won't pee everywhere?
