Don't mean to sound hard-hearted, but my 90 lb collie mix is going on 12 yrs old. He is in good health, current on vaccinations, and gets 3 walks a day. Since at his age we are living on "borrowed time" could I skip the expense of heartworm tests/preventatives at this stage?

I signed an agreement with a dr.'s office to deduct monthly payments from my checking acct to pay a large medical bill. Now I want to cancel this. Can I stop the deductions by notifying my bank or does it have to be stopped with the dr.'s office? If you could reply asap as I have limited internet access. Thank you!

I'll try to be delicate...never had to walk my dog before (always had a fenced backyard) but now moving to an apt. which means I'll be walking him for bathroom breaks. Do you just use a plastic bag over your hand and pick up the waste that way, or is there a less yucky way to do it? Thanks

Bought my house thinking I'd retire on the proceeds when I sold it. Now ready to retire & move but owe $11,000 more than house appraised for. I don't qualify for refi because of 2nd mtg. What would happen if I just walk away from it? Are there better options? I will need to be able to rent an apt. after I move, and I see no other way out. Thanks for any advice.

My cat is getting old (18) and altho she seems to feel fine, I am noticing her eyesight is getting poor and her coordination is off. My question: When I feel she is beginning to suffer, will a vet euthanize her on my say-so alone? I do NOT want her put thru a bunch of invasive tests, etc., when the time comes.

I work for the state. They give a $50 mo. discount on medical premiums to anyone who signs a "Non Tobacco Use" agreement. If you sign the agreement you are subject to random testing, and, if you are found to have used tobacco, you are terminated. Is any of that legal??? Thanks!

Currently, my big guy (collie/malamute/?) likes to spend alot of time out in the yard. He's very laid-back & usually just lays around out there. He's about 6 yrs old. We will be moving to an apartment, however, and I will need to take him on walks for potty breaks. I know he'll want to go out all the time, but how many exercise/potty breaks should I try to train him to? (I'll be retired & home all day.) Thanks for your advice!

Can you install mosaic glass tile (the kind that's on a mesh backing) directly on painted drywall? The instructions at the store say to first install a backer board. Is that really necessary? Thanks!
