I received a fully favorable decision for a SSA hearing and was awarded all back SS monies but the adjudicator capped because I had an interview for a job 500 miles away...I moved LS&B for the interview (I was led to believe the interview was merely a formality) I was denied the job based on my age 58 at the time. I refiled for SS and was denied twice so I filed another appeal, this time for a hearing, I also filed to have the original decision to cap my benefits reversed...I am waiting on both decisions. Is it really necessary to hire an attorney and pay another $5300.00?

I was injured on the job through no fault of my own. I signed up with DARS on May 2, 2006. 1 year later they still had done nothing for me, I appealed their decision but had to leave Texas before my hearing to attend school in Kansas, a school my DARS counselor said they would pay for, now I have to take student loans out for the tuition because DARS refused to pay. Do I have any recourse and if there is, is there an attorney willing to help me...? I am on a fixed income of less than 50% of my wage ($420.00 per week) when I was injured.

I found myself between a rock and a hard place and borrowed $800.00 and put the title to my truck up as collateral. I now have to pay back $1041.26 30 days later. I can make a minimum payment but will have to pay the interest again in 30 days. I can't understand the greed of people nowdays, I know this is the land of opportunity but come on.just how much does one really need?
