Primary school teacher and owning horses?
When I am older I want to be a primary school teacher. However, I would also like a horse. Would I be able to afford a horse and how would I fit it into my lifestyle? What livery would you recommend?
2 AnswersHorses8 years agoHow to convince my parents to let me go?
I really want to go on this holiday at a place called Valley Farm (http://www.valleyfarmonline.co.uk/) preferably for 5 days but my Dad said no. He said that I should go to the 3 day camp at the place I currently go for lessons(and always have went for lessons) because it's closer and it would be my first overnight camp of any kind. I went to Bambers Green ( the place I have lessons at) last year for the non-residential trip which was cut short due to me breaking my foot... I want to go to Valley Farm because they have loads of different activities and the place I go doesn't even have a XC course, which is something I really want to try. He claims Valley Farm is more expensive but it is so much better and he has recently spent £1000+ on my sister who was in Australia. This is something I really want to do, how do I convince him? Also, the place I go now isn't really professional and I don't know if it would be a beneficial experience to stay overnight there for 3 days!
2 AnswersHorses8 years agoWhich one is better? best answer will be chosen?

Option 2 is closer, and cheaper but I don't know. It would be a children's/junior residential trip for 5/6 days.
2 AnswersHorses8 years agoSome questions to ask? (Probably better for the brits)?
Has anyone gone a Wellington riding school junior holiday?
I was considering a residential visit as, in my opinion, it looks rather good. But, I've never been there before. Will this be a problem?
Also, I had to stop riding for about 5 months due to a bad fall and now I've had about 7 lessons after this so on the form what should I say I can do? I haven't jumped in these 7 lessons but before I could jump a small vertical jump, should I say I can jump? And, if so how high?
1 AnswerHorses8 years agoSmallest horse that could carry me?
I am wandering what is the smallest horse size that could comfortably carry me. I am 5ft 1", 10 stone-ish, and I am 13. And also what is the tallest horse I would look ok on. Thank you.
7 AnswersHorses8 years agoThe Hobbit- 27 animal deaths, why?
So, I was browsing online when I discovered this article: http://newsfeed.time.com/2012/11/19/27-animals-die...
And all I want to know is why? Also, do you think animals should be in films where they could potentially be injured? Have you seen The Hobbit, how was it? If you haven't, are you still going to see it? Have you even got any of your animals involved in the movies, how was the experience and would you do it again?

5 AnswersHorses8 years agoWhat can I do? Was I really dumb?
Their is this guy I like but I don't know if he likes me back. We talk but not a lot but when we do talk it is really good, interesting conversations. On Monday we were talking in the lesson before lunch and we told each other some interesting, semi-personal things. When we were about to leave he told me: 'I'm going to be all alone at lunch in the school library' was it a hint for me to see him? Also he is really shy and so am I so how can I find out if he likes me? I don't want to ruin our friendship or make it really awkward. Thank you :)
1 AnswerSingles & Dating8 years agoIs this a good start for a story I am writing?
This is the beginning of my story, related on from the Girl, missing series.
5 years after the events of Missing, me Madison gets herself, and an unlikely person, in even more danger. Not even she can imagine the magnitude this time. Her, and her alone must be the hero once again in a new thriller. (Blurb).
"Bye, Wolf i'm going to Laurens'". I bellowed up the stairs. Wolf was prepearing the spare room ready for when we had to take care of Ellie, Lauren and Jam's 5 year old girl (he would not let me see it- he wanted it to be a surprise). Me and wolf loved looking after Ellie, it made us feel like we had our own child. Our own life we brought into the world and now, because Lauren and Jam are going
away on their trip to Mexico, Ellie was staying with us.We even saw Ellies birth, in that shed. Wow. Was that really only 5 years ago? It seemed like a lifetime ago.
"Ok Mo. Tell Lauren we are prepared for Ellie now," Wolf murmured from the top of the stairs. He no longer had a stutter-around me anyway. Me and Wolf have been engaged for a year now, but we don't have the money for a big, white wedding. Life certainly has not been kind to us. Wolf and I met only 5 years ago, but, after he started calling me Mo I knew it would work. I only let Jam, Lauren,
Wolf and now Ellie call me Mo. They are the only special people now. I've cut all ties with Annie- she was just too much. And, of course, Allan, my real dad, has not spoke to me again after his betrayal. So, in reality, I have no parents. Just a sister and her husband with their daughter and the best fiance you would want. Perfect. Paradise. Bliss. To me anyway. Grabbing my car keys I dashed
to the Hatchback Lauren and Jam had brought us, now fitted with a car seat for Ellie.Driving along I had the unnerving feeling someone was watching me. I could not shake it off, or concerntrate on the road. As the banging in my head got louder, I pulled over to the side of the rode. The uneasy feeling and headache passed and I felt slightly better. Hesitantly, I placed the key in the ignition
once again. Jeez, that feeling was back again. *Fight through it Madison. You're being stupid* I sped all the way to Laurens and as soon as I was their the feeling slightly lightened. *See, you were being stupid*. Before I even had the chance to ring the doorbell, Ellie had ran into my arms, with a new picture to show me. Ellie always had some thing to show me, wether it was a picture she
had drawn, pictures from a day out or something new she had got. Lauren said that Ellie reminded her of when she had just found us and I always showed her something from my past, what should of been her past as well. We always had a special connection, me and Lauren. Todays drawing was her sitting on top of a lion. " Wow Ellie! Have you ever seen real lions?" I asked her. Her face
beemed because of the compliment. "No," she giggled. Her giggle was like an angels. "Well, when me and Wolf have you we could go to the zoo and see the lions, tigers and bears!" I exclaimed. Immediately, she screamed "Oh my!" Quoting The Wizard of Oz- our favourite film we watched together. We both burst into giggle fits, Ellie had that effect on people. She grabbed my hand and led me
through to the kitchen were Lauren stood- hands on hips, talking to someone on the phone. Lauren and Ellie are almost identical, you can tell they are mother and daughter. Same long, brown hair and today they were both wearing pink tops with shorts or jeans. People have always commented

1 AnswerHomework Help9 years agoCan anyone pick me a few horses please?
Urm, so can anyone find some horses that are suitable for a beginner in and near Essex, England. I am currently a 5 foot-ish 13 year old and a bit bigger in weight than a normal 13 year old but I am hoping to change that. It would be my first horse and I am fond of Cobs and horses likes that. I really want a horse which is particually good at hacking as I am really nervous on hacks. They must be safe and not very strong if that is ok. I have two horses so far that I have picked but I need more. http://www.horsemart.co.uk/all_rounder_horse_9_yrs...

These are in Kent which is ok. Thank you guys.
3 AnswersHorses9 years agoPlease can someone answer theses questions and concerns?
As some may know, I have a 6 year old Mare Belle. I have been having some problems a while back with an annoying 9 year old and she is still causing me problems and made Belle lame for a bit. So, her rich dad after 6 months of riding brought her 6 young, barely broke, green horses. The oldest horse is 7. They are really going down hill and it is getting out of hand. Not only are they too green for her, because of her they have developed many vices and one even injured Belle and broke her stall door. She turns up when ever she wants to ride, makes someone else catch, groom and tack up the horse then rides one horse for about two hours. She kicks them so much and when they buck or rear, she kicks them even more. I am concerned about all of the horses. When I first asked her what there names where she did not even know! Also, Cupcake, her STALLION, keeps trying to mount my horse Belle! I have told the barn owner and she said: 'Well, I would not advise her to have these horses but her dad pays the livery bills so it is fine'. I can't move yards and I don't know what to do!
Anyway, since the barn has to exercise them, yesterday I had to ride one of her mares. The mare is called Twinkle and is a 16.2hh warm blood. She was not a good ride at all but she seemed as if she tried to do what I asked. The cues from the little girl where always ridiculous! The girl has always said to us that we must exercise her horses only at walk and trot mounted or walk, trot, canter on the 'long dig lead thing you people use'. Just so you know this is a run down of her horses:
-Cupcake, STALLION, 15.1hh, Arab, 5yo.
-Twinkle, Mare, 16.2hh, warm blood, 6yo.
-Sparkle, Mare, 15.3hh, ISH, 7yo.
Fantasy, STALLION, 17.1hh, Urm, I dont know his breed, 4/5yo.
Glitter, Mare, 15.2hh thoroughbred, 6yo.
Peppa, STALLION, 16.3hh, Barb, 5yo.
I really think they are being wasted with her and I just think someone else should own them!
So can I do anything about her? I have also rode Glitter before. She is an excellent mount that I wish could have a better rider to further her education. Thank you for ready this lengthy paragraph/essay! ;)

How do the boiling points of noble gases change as they go down the group (helium, neon, argon, krypton)?

1 AnswerChemistry9 years agoI need help with my decision?
My family have been offered a Spoodle. It is a 13 week old boy. It got took in by my friend who works at the local pet shop but it developed strangles. It luckily pulled through. Also, he had groin ihermia (don't know how to spell it) and is recovering from that. My friend is offering him to us for free as he was carrying her chihuahua in its mouth, but was fine around her other dogs.
The thing is, we own a 3 year old GSD. She is called maisie and will bark at dogs on walks. She mostly barks at big dogs and is good with little ones. I have read up on introducing dogs to each other but do you think it is plausible to introduce them together. Maisie is fine with my nans dog Izzy, even when they are in eachothers homes, but they have been introduced since young ages.
So the questions I need answering are:
Would you pass on the dog as he has had multiple illnesses?
Is it plausible to introduce these dogs together?
Would you adopt this dog if it was you?
Do you think this dog may be prone to illnesses?
What would you call him? He is a chocolate brown fluffy boy.
Thank you.

6 AnswersHorses9 years agoDo cats have to live inside?
My cat Mollie is 15 and since she was 6 she always lived outside. It was her choice she just prefers it outside. So, she has free roam outside. We live in a nice cold-e-sack of a nice town with many cats. Does she have to come inside? She does not like beds etc. We still feed her everyday and she comes as soon as I call her. Thanks and your answers are much appreciated.
9 AnswersCats9 years agoWas she allowed to do this?
My family and my neighbours where sharing a stray cat. He prefered our family to hers. She gave him away to a rescue centre. He accepted us as his family and we had had him for about two weeks. I am really upset, what should I do?

-Posting trot,
- 3 loop Serpentine,

-Grooming,
-Bathing,

Thank you.
11 AnswersHorses9 years agoAlright, so um, your ideas and suggestions?
My cousin is staying with me for a week and she is OBSESSED with horses. She is 7 and has started a new game. Well she has created horses up like:
Hero-12.2hh- 8 year old, buckskin, skin and star.
Well she has started liveries and even has introduced riding lessons for the ill children who want a quieter place. Oh, and pony club stable management lessons.
She has asked me what else she can create but I am not imaginative and can not think of anything.
Your ideas and suggestions?
Oh and how can she 'pretend' to do the riding lessons?
Thanks and happy trails =)
