I gave birth to premature twins and will be at the hospital for a while. Someone from church volunteered to get my home ready for the babies and I just went to visit my apartment and noticed a couple of windows were open and some nails were put in the walls. I live in public housing and it is a very old apartment. I believe they said we had to use command hooks for hangings. I am worried now that opening windows and putting nails in the wall could have exposed lead and the person never asked me before doing this so I could not prevent it. If there was lead in the walls/windows, what can I do to make my home as safe as possible before the babies get out of the NICU? I am really worried about the nails that were put in the walls and am not sure if I should close the holes or use a special cleaner around the area.

I recently filed against a large company a completely valid discrimination complaint. I am nervous that as a single entity without the funds and resources of the large company that I do not stand a chance.I am wondering if telling local news stations and newspapers will make the company respond favorably (wanting to settle quietly to avoid further media attention).

Ive had it for years and had no trouble getting jobs but Im getting older and wanting to advance my career further so Im wondering if I should get it removed? I found a Groupon that is affordable but I don t know if its necessary or not. Im a teacher and I know teachers who have entire sleeves of tattoos. Thoughts? I went to the furniture store today saw a couch but I thought it was too big for some reason so I ordered love seat instead. Now Im looking online and the love seat just looks too small and it is 23 inches less in width. I looked a picture of the last couch I owned and the love seat looks much smaller as well. I can change my order within 24 hours and Im considering doing so...thoughts? (Id like to add I also bought a matching swivel chair that is pretty decent in size and I do live in an apartment but its still a good sized room)

I already put window film on the windows, would blackout curtains make a noticeable extra difference? They're quite expensive.

I've been cheated by the legal system! My ex spouse has stolen from me and taken money from me and there has been nothing I can do. He has been avoiding contact and on the run and by luck I finally found him because he posted it on Facebook. I took him to small claims court to recover some of my losses and he didn't show up and even though I won they said they're not even going to tell him he owes me money and they won't garnish him without employer or bank info! I barely even found the man in the first place!! I feel like the court should have told me not to waste my time now Im out the money hes taken from me AND $328 in filing fees and $40 gas money to go to court out of state and I missed a day of work. I cant believe you can get away with theft of property and violating a divorce decree just by simply not showing up to court. Must be nice!! I know the man's social security number birthdate and address theres got to be some affordable way to find out where he works can someone please help me out Im at wits end! I just want nothing to do with him any longer I want to get my money back and move on with my life

I am a 2 year old teacher and this year my class is out of control. Have several very active children who are a bad combination together they feed off of each other and then chaos breaks loose and the other children get annoyed. Ive never had these problems before Ive been teaching for 9 years!! I'm starting to feel like a failure I need some new fresh ideas to bring to my room that will get these children wanting to participate and be calm...any songs/stories/themes/activities/transition ideas/ etc anything that I can do to get things turned out? Any advice is appreciated thank you

There are no visible issues with the carpet- no rips and stains just normal wear and tear. I do have a pet though she has had accidents I use a pet spray to clean it up and I was going to put a carpet deodorizer down and vacuum before I moved out but there is a Groupon for a professional carpet cleaning and I was considering going ahead and using that. However we are not required to get the carpets cleaned and I believe they will turn around and get it cleaned anyway even if I do it. Should I even bother?

I don't have any symptoms or anything but I am just paranoid after having unprotected sex so I called to make a doctors appointment I got in tomorrow but that would only be 3 1/2 weeks since it happened is that soon enough to get checked for common stds if I plan to go back in a couple months to get tested for everything?

I am looking for a 2br unit. My friend lives in a four unit building upstairs and the other upstairs unit was available so I viewed it and was going to turn in an application, however the property management told me a downstairs unit a few buildings down would be available soon and it has an extra half bath and will only be $10 more a month. The original unit has either a winding staircase from the front or you can enter the back on the porch but they are spaced out wooden stairs. I will have an infant and I live alone as a female so Im thinking downstairs would be more convenient but I am not sure of the pros/cons of downstairs versus upstairs. I live upstairs now but my staircase is inside my apartment I enter a door and then have a carpeted staircase inside. What do you think?

For about three days I had a strong odor it smelled like I used a berry vaginal wash like a fruity smell or a perfume or something. I made an appointment for a pap smear but it has gone away I still want to keep the appointment just in case something is wrong. I just had a yeast infection a month ago and they checked for chlamydia and gonorrhea

My boyfriend and I had a domestic violence incident last week and I was issued an emergency protective order. We have a court date in two weeks, but this has just been really hard on me and I went today and filed an affidavit to ask for a dismissal of the protective order. I was told I would still need to go to the court date and discuss it with the judge. Can I have the protective order dropped but ask the judge to mandate he attend counseling with me? I want to be safe but I also want to try to work it out if possible

I was a victim of domestic violence yesterday however my boyfriend did not leave a mark. He punched me on my head and it hurt but they could not get pictures of the knot. He was not arrested however I was granted a temporary restraining order. I looked up the report and it says ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) NO VISIBLE INJURY and Narrative

The complainant reports the listed subject hit her in the head with his fist causing pain. I don't understand why he wasnt arrested, the courthouse told me possibly because there were no marks. I want justice served so I want to file a criminal complaint and try to get him arrested for what he has done to me. How will they investigate this matter and what are my chances of getting him charged for this?

I am trying to find out what the process is for sueing someone if you are a cosigner and they defaulted. My ex husband cosigned my name on a car electronically while we were married and since I was his wife I did not say anything about it. During our separation I lost contact with him and therefore during the divorce I had to accept uncontested because I couldn't even find him and therefore could not separate property. He stopped paying on the car and the loan has gone into collections. They are willing to settle with me. If I pay it off will I be able to sue my ex husband in small claims court? How would this work if I do not know where he is, would I need to get a private investigator and locate him first? If I sue him will that guarantee I will get my money back? I had a laparoscopy done exactly three years ago. They removed a couple polyps but did not detect endometriosis. I have since moved and am seeing a different RE and after another failed Clomid cycle and some irregular bleeding he is suggesting another laparoscopy before moving on to injectables...if I didn't have endometriosis then is there even a chance that I could have it now? I don't want to get the surgery if it not necessary as it is costly and I did not recover well from it at all the first time. He also wanted to do another HSG and my tubes were clear then as well.

My sister in law is a known liar. She claimed she was pregnant last week and this week shows up with hospital discharge forms for a miscarriage. She said she was experiencing heavy cramping and went to the ER but she didn't notify anyone until after. Is it possible she went and lied about being pregnant and when they couldn't detect a pregnancy they told her she miscarried?? Or would the hospital be able to call the bluff and she's telling the truth?

I am a pretty naturally athletic person although I do not work out or do much physical activity. I used to be a high school and college cheerleader and then a dancer and I think maybe it has just carried over some because I find that when I try to do things I am able to do a lot. I signed up for a half marathon (12 miles) run about a year in advance and paid a pretty nice amount for it because a group of people I knew were doing it and I thought that would motivate me to train but Ive greatly slacked on it due to the fact that I hate running. But I did pay and I am part of a group so Im wondering if I can just get up that day and walk it...I walked about 4 miles last week with a couple friends and wasn't tired or sore or anything...is it possible to be able to just go and walk through it?
