How do I fade my mustache?
I'm a brunette woman with very little money and some slightly dark hairs above the corners of my mouth. What can I do about it?
4 AnswersOther - Skin & Body1 decade agoWhat is the starting salary of a full-time physical therapist, preferably in Texas?
The Occupational Outlook handbook averages the salaries with part-time physical therapists, so I do not know an accurate number. Am considering entering the field... Would greatly appreciate your help! Thanks, and God bless!
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoDo you know the blonde actress...?
My husband was watching 2 Fast 2 Furious, and it struck me that the actor Paul Walker (I think that's his name- here's a link: www.imdb.com/name/nm0908094 ) looks a LOT like a certain blonde actress whose name I can't think of, and its driving me crazy! All I know is I've only seen her as a blonde but she always has dark roots; once, my husband told me he thought she used to be a model; she played in a t.v. show I saw a few times back 7 - 14 years ago in which she played one of a few sexy female spies, I believe they were. I've always seen her with blue eyes, but I guess those could be fake! She is tall, strong jawline. I know, this is Very little to go on, but if you happen to think you might know who I'm talking about, please tell me! Also, I think she sort of resembles Molly Sims. Thanks for your answers!
2 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agobreastmilk production lagging............?
This is my third baby I've breastfed exclusively (no bottles!), and she's almost 6 months old, but this is the first time I've ever had trouble with my milk supply. For about a month now, I seem to be struggling to make enough milk for her. I even pump once each night and store up for emergencies and also give some to my two-year old to boost his immunities. What can be causing this problem, and how can I help it?
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoCalculus- end behaviors?
How can you tell end behaviors by the leading coefficient and its degree? For example if f(x)=2x^3+2x-5, the leading coefficient is positive and its degree is odd, so will the line then be positive or negative?
2 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoHelp factoring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
How would you factor:
numerator: x^3 + 4x^2 + 4x
denominator: x^2 + 2x
or a similar problem? Its been 12 years since I've taken advanced math, and I'm taking calculus as a prereq for my M.S. ...Also expecting my third baby any day now! Please help! Thanks!
Another prob:
numerator: x times the square root of (x^2 + 25)
denominator: x^2 - x
I know this one should be easy, but I am very out of practice. Any resource suggestions where I can brush up on my factoring?
God bless!
5 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoAny pregnant women out there with impotent husbands?
Okay, I am SOOOO embarassed I am asking this, but I guess I am looking for sympathy or help. My husband has serious issues achieving/ maintaining an erection... I hardly get any sex from him, and I am one of those women whose hormones soar off the charts during pregnancy, like I am now (pregnant with third child). He's tried pills, and they don't help much at all. Is there any proof I can show him that if he'd exercise regularly and lose weight, this problem would likely subside or at least improve tremendously?
Also, any tips on how to not hurt his ego and get him to realize that he really needs to care about making sure I am satisfied? It is all about him, and yet he thinks he's not that type of guy! I'm sorry, but am I crazy? He doesn't make love to me using other "means" than his "broken toy" whatsoever. I am pulling my hair out!
4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoIf you're following The Bachelorette?
Any comments on the show? Just curious.
For example, don't you think its crazy that very level-headed people like the ones on the show would actually consider getting engaged or married at the end without even living in the same city in real life for a few months? I know money is a motivator, along with fear of losing the person you love, but come one, how long have they even known each other?
Who would you choose from the original 30? The last two remaining? (I think Reid is also going to show up and propose! So maybe I should say last 3!)
1 AnswerMedia & Journalism1 decade agoWorking mothers................................?
I have a 7-year old, a 13-month old, and I recently found out I am 3 months pregnant. This past year, my husband and I have just had bad "luck" it seems with good paying positions. Thankfully, my husband just finished his degree, so we are hoping he can lock in a better paying job soon. As for me, I have been advertising my services for the last 6-months and haven't been able to make any money. I am not in favor of working full-time with my still having little ones unless they are present, but I can't even get a babysitting job! I am college degreed!
I'm curious as to how many of you have experienced both sides: staying at home with your babies and toddlers and working full-time hiring some sort of child care. What were the differences you noticed in your children's behavior, your relationship with each other, etc? I am considering going into teaching but can't imagine leaving my 13-month old so many hours, let alone a newborn when it arrives.

something for a car that allows two children who need booster seats in the car to fit into a smaller vehicle that also has an infant seat next to it?
2 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoIf you are doing a Super Nanny version time-out, if your child is screaming..?
or crying at the top of their lungs while staying put in time-out, do you "pull them out" once time is up, or does the time start after they stay put And are quiet (crying softly is fine but not at loud, tantrum level, in my opinion)? If they won't apologize immediately, do you re-start the clock? Does anyone believe that the Super Nanny technique will not work for every "normal" (undiagnosed or no suspected issues) child?
13 AnswersGrade-Schooler1 decade agoWhat was it like adopting a sibling group...?
...after you were done getting certified, that is.
We are getting certified, and originally, the "top 3" potential adoptive children on our list was a single 14-year old girl, a single 12-year old boy, and a single 9-year old boy. There were two minor delays that were mostly out of our hands in the certification process, and we believed/ believe that God was delaying it for some reason, but still encouraging us to plan on adopting soon.
The "top 3" have all gotten adoptive families! This is wonderful, especially considering most older children/ teens are never adopted. Now we are more seriously considering adopting a sibling group of 3 or 4. We already have two biological children, a six-year old and a 10-month old.
If you have adopted a sibling group, what was it like for you?
5 AnswersAdoption1 decade agoHow many foster kids grow up and end up having a relationship with their birth parents?
I can't help but wonder... When people who actually care think of older foster children/ teens, they think about the children's need for a forever family, one to come home to and visit on the holidays when they are grown... But how many of them grow up to have normal or almost normal relationships with their birth families?
Personal experience answers or credible links/ sources preferred. Thanks, and God bless.
5 AnswersAdoption1 decade agoAt what age does a disciplined child stop throwing tantrums?
My daughter is almost 7 and still often cries at the top of her lungs if she doesn't get her way, even though I use a reward/ punishment system and am firm. I spend a lot of quality time with her, etc. She gets enough sleep, exercise, etc. I can't put her in time-out because she is very smart and knows I am vulnerable due to her baby brother. (I can't keep putting her back and ignore the baby two hours!) She'll sometimes follow us around crying loudly, which of course is not good for her brother. Though what I do now is tell her if she won't control herself, she will have to be alone, and the baby and I go into my room, lock the door, go into the master bathroom, turn on the exhaust fan (to drown her out), and start playing with toys I have in there. When she is calm, we come out. Meanwhile she will simultaneously continue being loud while sliding little messages under the bedroom door, i.e. "I wanna be with you." That part is very cute. She's incredibly smart, read since she was three, multiplies well, spells well, etc.
These tantrums are mostly under control, but I am trying HARD to get rid of them completely. If we were in a show, you would see the dramatic improvements we've made over the years, but she seems too old... I am thinking she could have borderline personality disorder or something to that nature... Her father was never diagnosed, but it was no secret something was wrong. My daughter seems mostly normal but is only a child. It just seems that though she is easily satisfied with things that please her, she always wants more. And she is always looking for ways to pick a battle.
Any related answers/ advice is welcomed. God bless! But please don't say back to me what I have already stated. I have limited time to read these. I posted this under parenting and got few answers and no real good ones, so I am re-posting it here.

Rachel: Its obvious that had I known better when she was little, it would be much easier now. Your comment is not at all helpful. When she was about 3 1/2, she started coming out of time-outs, so to me, I thought, "Oh, she won't stay in time-outs," and I did other things. Supernanny wasn't on at that time! There are a lot of things I could have done better, but we're dealing with now, and, nonetheless, I have always been firm with her. If I ever allowed her to calmly change my mind on something, I would explain why I had been wrong.

15 AnswersAdoption1 decade agoWhat things can get a child taken from their parents...?
I have Never met anyone who has had their children taken from them by the Child Protective Services, and yet, there are So many foster kids! When I asked how we can reform the foster care system, someone said there should be a zero tolerance policy for abuse, so when children are taken away from their bio-parents, they are immediately up for adoption, but what constitutes abuse?
What could cause them to be taken away in the first place, and what options do bio-parents have in order to get them back?
Thanks for your answers! God bless!
15 AnswersAdoption1 decade agoIf trying to reform the foster system...?
what changes would you push for? Give me details.
One requirement I'd like to push for would be the right for foster families and foster kids to stay in touch when foster kids move to a different family, whether it be foster, adoptive, or biological.
Another would be the requirement of advanced notice before removing a foster child from its foster family (unless there is reason to believe there is abuse...), such as:
If the foster child has resided with its foster family for three days or more, at least 24 hours advanced notice must be given to the foster parents And foster child before removal.
If the foster child has resided with its foster family at least 7 days, than 48 hours notice.
If one-month, three days notice.
If two months or more, one week notice.
Whatdya' think?
God bless you all!
