  • Any luck or advice for prolotherapy for their pets with joint/arthritis issues?

I have an 11 year old lab/australian shepard/german shepard mix who has arthritis in her hind legs. Only recently have her legs been giving out on her when she walks. She is in good spirits-- she is not in pain and all she wants to do is play. I do not have the heart to put her down since since she is still as happy as can be.

I've been trying to do some research but not that much information is available on the web. My friend emailed a local vet for me but I thought I'd get some answers from those out there who have actually experienced the treatment with their pet.

    My questions:

    Was it costly?

How much did each treatment cost?

    How many treatments were needed?

How quickly did you see signs of improvement?

Are you happy with the results?

    Would you recommend this treatment?

  • Which makeup do you splurge on? Which are you more frugal?

Where do you splurge? Where are you more frugal?

For instance, my sister wears MAC foundation, but she wears Cover Girl eyeshadows...?

  • What is a good, cheap web & domain host?

I am looking into starting a website. I'm looking to have a domain and have file hosting from the same company. So far I've heard godaddy and 1and1 are good. I used to use aplus.net but it wasn't very user friendly. Thanks!

  • California -- are employers required to have you sign a paper upon lay off / termination / quitting?

I got laid off last Tuesday (yes I immediately filed for unemployment). My employer only had my last check and check stub. In the past my previous employers always had a document stating my last day of employment, etc. I received nothing. Can someone help me find out through the California Labor Law if this is legal? I'm afraid my employer will petition against my claim. It was a true lay off as they told me they felt they paid me too much and didn't have any hours to give me. They said they are planning in giving my hours to someone that makes 4 dollars less an hour than I did.

    Please help. Thanks

  • Black or brown mascara?

I have strawberry-brownish-blonde hair and used to use black mascara up until about 3 years ago... then switched over to dark brown. It seems to make my blue eyes stand out.

I am currently using L'Oreal Voluminous mascara and I like it because it doesn't flake off like Mabelline did for me in the past. I do not use waterproof mascara because I like being able to wash it off at night and not feeling like I have to rip my eyelashes out when applying a gunky eye makeup remover.

What is your favorite mascara, color, style of brush (curved, straight, etc).

  • Using Bare Minerals with oily skin-- how do you prevent it from coming off or smudging?

I love BM foundation, but about half way through the day my nose gets all shiny and lighter-colored than the rest of my face.

I use both a moisturizer for oily skin and the BM primer.

I have also tried NOT to put on moisturizer on just my nose, but its the same thing.

I have also dusted on the mineral veil BEFORE applying the foundation.

I don't wear too much foundation either.

  • What websites do you use to look for potential employment?

I'm currently employed, but I'm getting bored and I'm looking for a new line of work.

    I've used:

    monster.com

    caljobs.gov

    craigslist.org

    sacjobs.com

    sacramentohelpwanted.com

What website has worked successfully for you? I'm currently living near Sacramento, but may move to North Carolina within the next year or so.

  • Need advice dealing with 6 year old future stepson and our future family...?

I am 27 and currently in a relationship with a 34 year old man that has a 6 year old son with his exgirlfriend. His exgirlfriend has 4 other children from a relationship with her exhusband. So my boyfriend's son has 4 half-siblings.

My boyfriend has commented on several occasions how he would love to have full custody of his son, but would never take him away from his siblings. My response to that is, "what if you and I have children? Our children would be half-siblings to his son as well." His response was: "oh yeah, I guess you're right." I think he just doesn't want to stir anything up with his exgirlfriend, which I find to be honorable. Currently he has his son every other weekend.

I was recently introduced to his son when they both flew out to California. We get along great and he's the coolest kid ever. I have no intentions of taking over the mommy role... Which is the child's mother's fear. I wish I could talk to her and say, "hey... I love your son..." I don't know, I think that if I were in her situation where there would be a stepmom in the picture, I'd be thankful that my son gets to have two women that love him.

A little background: I briefly met my boyfriend 2 years ago at his sister's wedding (one of my best friends). I live in California, he lives in North Carolina. He was originally from California. We have officially began dating 6 months ago. We both travel back and forth so we can see eachother. His son lives with his mother, which is about a 2 hour drive from my boyfriend.

I'm having trouble with these issues:

If my boyfriend and I get married, how will his son feel?

If we were to have children?

    Will my boyfriend play favorites?

    Will I play favorites?

Will I resent my future stepson for requiring my soon to be husband's time away from our family so they can spend time alone?

How will his exgirlfriend react to us getting married?
