  • Why is Yahoo erasing posts that mention the Babylonian Talmud?

I mentioned the Babylonian version of the Talmud in a comments section TWICE and it was excised! This is the standard, official version of the Talmud in Judaism and the primary reference used by Rabbis.

  • Even number definition?

Okay, I have seen definitions for even numbers and they all say that "an even number is divisible by two", and I have searched for definitions of "divisible" and those definitions state that "divisible" /usually/ means division by a number without resulting in fractional numbers.

This is what I think an even number is, please vet it for me so I can be sure:

An even number is a number which, when divided by two, results in two equal *integers*.

Basically I want to be certain that an even number divided by 2 can only result in two even integers (and not fractions/decimals). Thank you in advance.

  • In German can "sie" be used as a pronoun for plural non-human nouns?

Like if someone took books with him could I say "Er namh sie." instead of "Er namh die Bücher."

I know sie means "them" or "they" when referring to plural people but what about non-human things like books and animals.

    Thanks in advance!

  • How can I make my cat's fangs smooth?

When my cat rubs her face against me one of her fangs is really rough, and it hurts! Can I use a dremel drill (on lowest power) and a really soft sanding pad to gently smooth the side of the fang without hurting her?

When a current flows through a conductor, do the moving electrons cause the atoms of the conductor to become temporary cations and anions?

  • Are all adult comic book readers pseudo-intellectuals with inferiority and persecution complexes?

I'm talking about the high functioning autistics who project great meaning into freakish cartoon characters blasting "bigots" (dignified White heterosexuals of good breeding) with magic powers. Basically, I'm trying to understand the culture driving the comics industry.

  • Why do runway models look like boys?

Wide shoulders, very modest chest, taller than average. They're not ugly, but neither is Justin Bieber, but I don't want to see him modeling clothes for women. I'm not making some kind of statement either, because I'm a dude and not into really fat chicks. Anyway I kind of get the tall bit, but so skinny, no boobs?

  • How much weight can bathroom wall studs hold up?

I'm redoing my bathroom. I am down to the studs for the shower area and have already installed the bathtub. Now I need to put up the cement backer-board on the studs so I can tile.

The problem is our home was constructed somewhat poorly. We have a big PVC pipe running horizontally midway down the longest wall abutting the tub. One section of this pipe juts out about half an inch from the wall so I don't think I can screw back-board over it without the board warping and/or sticking out.

So I was thinking of screwing in furring strips to some (or all?) of the studs first, adding about half an inch to the wall thickness, so the back-board can lay flat all the way across the wall.

I'm concerned though. I don't know what to use for furring strips, how much the furring should cover the wall, and if the five studs can hold it all up. If I use hardibacker for furring, then on top of that the main sheets of hardibacker, and then on top of that tile, I don't know if the studs can take it.

Each of the five wall studs are about 3.5 inches deep and 1.4 inches wide.

Am I going to have to put up plastic shower walls over the hardibacker instead of tile?
