How to gain weight in a healthy way?
Ok so whenever I work out a lot or go through rigorous training I tend to become very thin and my body fat percentage becomes low, bordering on too low. It happened in basic training for the Army and now that I m in a police academy it is happening again. Gaining muscle is not an issue, it s just that in addition to gaining muscle I would like to keep a little bit of fat on my body so I don t look like a boy lol
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness6 years agoMy cat bit me, should I go to the doctors?
My cat bit me near my lip enough to draw blood. She's updated on her vaccines but I've heard cat bites can get infected very easily and it's in my face so I kind of don't want to take any chances. However I've heard the dr will be required to call animal control and quarantine the cat. Is that true? What if I lied and said she just scratched me
7 AnswersCats7 years agoWill previous anemia DQ me at MEPS?
About two months ago I found out I had a mild case of anemia. I took some over the counter iron pills and now it's cleared up. I'm going to MEPS in a few days and I'm worried that I will be disqualified for it.
The military medical standards say it's disqualifying if it hasn't been corrected.
Mine has been corrected though. I'm just worried about it. A lot of people have been telling me to lie and honestly it's tempting, but I know I have to tell the truth.
2 AnswersMilitary8 years agoclean driving record?
What does having a clean driving record mean? I've never gotten any tickets (except a few parking tickets). But I have had two accidents, I hit a deer, and then a car hit me (I wasn't at fault). Would my driving record be considered clean, or will those accidents come up?
2 AnswersSafety9 years agoWhy is my rat losing her hair?
My rat is an old girl, about 2 and a half years old. She recently had an outbreak of mycoplasm. When I took her and her cagemate to the vet, he gave them some Baytril and Deoxycylcine. He also noticed they had mites and gave them some Ivermectin as well.
The mycoplasm infection has cleared up, but now my rat has a bald spot in between her shoulders. I wouldn't think its mites, because she just got treated for that. What could be the cause? Could it just be old age? It's been there for about a month and a half now...
3 AnswersRodents9 years agoAre parking tickets considered a law violation?
I'm filling out a preliminary form on the National Guard website, and one of the questions asked is if I have any law violations. It said to include minor traffic violations. I've gotten parking tickets before, does than count? Also the car is in my mom's name so would it even show up as my parking ticket???
Basically I'm wondering if I should put yes for law violations. I'm live in VA btw if that helps. Thanks!
2 AnswersMilitary10 years agoWhen should I start the enlistment process?
I want to enlist in the Army National Guard and hopefully go to BCT this summer (I'm a college student). I'll probably speak with a recruiter in the next few weeks. How long does the enlistment process take? I know you have to take the asvab and choose an mos. About what time should I try to have everything wrapped up?
4 AnswersMilitary10 years agoAdvice for an aspiring 68w?
I'm considering joining the Army National Guard (or maybe going the army active duty route, I haven't decided for sure yet). What I do know is that I want to be a 68w. If I am fortunate enough to get the 68w mos is there anything I can do to up my chances of being a line medic, should I get deployed, rather than being in a hospital or clinic?
1 AnswerMilitary10 years agoCan rats eat themselves to death?
Can rats eat so much at one time that they die? I heard somewhere that they don't get the feeling of fullness like humans do, so if you put alot of food in their cage at one time, they'll literally eat themselves to death. Is that true? I want to know because I am going away for a weekend and I'm trying to decide how best to take care of my rats. Thanks!
5 AnswersRodents1 decade agohow do I tactfully confront my roommate about a possible theft?
I'm in college and I live with 2 girls. The girl I share a room with is great, but we recently had to tell the third girl- who has a room to herself that we don't want to live with her next year. She was alone in our apt. all winter break and when I came back this week, I was searching my room for a textbook that I wanted to sell back for some money (textbooks are expensive, mind you). I couldn't find it in my room so I walk down the hallway and low and behold my book is sitting on the third roommates bed. I asked her about it but she denied and said that she had bought it at a bookstore for her class. I then flipped to the back and showed her my ID number and she got flustered and said that she saw my book out in the living room and mistook it for hers. The thing is though that I know I didn't leave my book out there, and she couldn't show me the book the she supposedly bought. I let the matter drop, but yesterday, I realized that the bag in which I keep all my cooking herbs and spices is gone. The real kicker is that I keep this bag right next to my textbooks. My question is- how to I tactfully confront her? I don't want to offend her- I don't have any outright proof that she actually stole from me, but then again I want to let her know that I'm not going to put up with people stealing my things

2 AnswersFriends1 decade agoIs my heart skipping a beat?
I think my heart may be skipping a beat or I have arrhythmia or something. It doesn't happen too often, maybe once a week,or less. It's only for a second or two but it's like I can feel my heart beating and then I get this weird sensation, its like someone poking you in the soft spot in between your collar bone, and and dropping sensation in the pit of your stomach. It makes me catch my breath and when in happens it's like this sense of dread sweeps over me. Once it's gone, I feel fine though, there is no pressure on my chest or anything. What could it be? Also if it helps, I'm a 20 year old active female.

1 AnswerHeart Diseases1 decade agohow to confront my food stealing roommate?
I am in college right now and living with two girls off campus. Me and my roommate get along great, but we are having issues with the third girl. She is very messy and doesn't pull her weight. There was also an incident where she was using alot of my roommate's food, so 3 nights ago we sat down and made a roommate contract. One of the things written was that we would not touch each others food, unless given permission. I even said, as long as you ask me first, I will probably let you eat something of mine.
Today, my roommate and I both discovered that some of are food is missing, and we found the wrappers in our apartment-mates trash can.
How do we handle this? It is blatant disrespect, and this happened only 2 days after we had a discussion about it! She didn't even ask, she is sneaking food like a child and this on top of everything else is too much. How should we confront her? I want to make my point known but I don't want to start a full out war with her, we still have to share the same living space for another 6 months

1 AnswerOther - Business & Finance1 decade agowhat happens if I refuse to pay a parking ticket?
I got a parking ticket in Richmond, VA for parking in a space for more than the 2 hour time limit. The thing is- I didn't do it! At the time they wrote that they first saw my car I was parked up the street, on the other side. I can't really go to court and contest it, b/c I have no evidence, it's basically their word against mine. What happens if I refuse to pay it? I refuse to pay for some jack *** who decided to slap a parking ticket on my car.
12 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police1 decade agoI keep having ridiculously good luck...?
Okay so I have been crazy lucky this past week or so. First, my speeding ticket is dismissed b/c the cop didn't show up, then I won a Wii, the next day I found a 100 dollar bill on the sidewalk, and finally last night I found $20 on the bus.
At first I was really happy, but now it's kinda freaking me out, it's like its almost too good to be true. Does anyone know anything about the concept of good luck in different religions/cultures. Can someone put a good luck 'curse' on you?
11 AnswersMythology & Folklore1 decade agoMy eyelid is killing me!?
A few days ago I woke up from a nap and had this pain (like an aching pain) in my upper eyelid, in the inner corner of my eye. It hasn't gone away. It hurts when I touch it or blink, but its only my eyelid, not my actual eye. You can see where its a little swollen. What's wrong with it? Should I see a doctor?
Also I'm on Accutane, I don't know if that could have something to do with it?
