  • What do we think of my Pokemon team?

I'm looking to have my Pokemon team rated.

I'm running an Adamant Krookodile holding an Expert Belt with Intimidate. Moves include Earthquake, Crunch, Outrage, and Brick Break. He is my physical sweeper.

A Bashful Snorlax holding a Rocky Helmet with Immunity. Moves are Return, Roar, Sleep Talk, and Rest. Physical wall.

A Lonely Reuniclus holding Leftovers with Overcoat. Moves include Psychic, Energy Ball, Aura Sphere, and Recover. My special sweeper.

A Docile Slowking holding an Assault Vest with Own Tempo. Moves are Psychic, Water Pulse, Disable, and Calm Mind. My special wall.

Naive Aerodactyl holding Aerodactylite with Rock Head/Tough Claws. Moves are Stone Edge, Sky Drop, Roost, and Stealth Rock. He's my hazard maker.

And finally my Adamant Machamp holding a Life Orb with No Guard. Moves are Focus Punch, Drain Punch, Payback, and Substitute.

Well people, what do you think?

  • What monster movie is this?

I'm trying to remember the name of a live action Japanese monster film that I saw about 8 years ago. All I have to go on is what I do remember from the movie, which is that it follows this samurai as he enters a village run by monsters to rest. The big twist at the end is that the samurai turns out to be a werewolf type monster himself, then he destroys the village and all the inhabitants in a big battle. Does anyone know the movie I'm referencing?

  • Is it right to blame the media?

A friend of mine was complaining about the media and it's false portrail of beauty because a friend of hers thinks that she's overweight when she's only 120lbs. at 5'5".

I'm wondering if it's right to blame the media for the issues she has with the way she thinks she thinks? Me personally, I believe that those who look at others and aren't happy that they don't look like a movie star have some deep underlying issuse and that blaming the media is just making excuses for it and not addressing it.

In my experience most people are content in the knowledge that they don't have a models body, and aren't bothered by what they see on tv or in magazines.

I'm not saying that the media has no part in how we look at ourselves, but to blame it all on the media seems a little ignorant.

Am I being too harsh, hitting the nail on the head, or is it something else altogether?

  • Building muscle without gaining weight?

I stand at about 5'7" 175lbs. but I'm not really large in any one area (so I'm not fat, but I am pretty broad shouldered). No matter what I do though I can't seem to lose weight, no matter what kind of workout rutine I follow or diet I try I just don't lose weight. Instead I gain weight from putting on muscle, which guess is better than having the fat. But still, I wouldn't mind losing 10 pounds or so without having to sacrifice muscle definition.

Any and all help is welcome. Thank you.

  • Ever talk with a tree?

Seems like a strange question to ask but in many spiritual practices talking with the spirits of plants (, animals, rocks, or anything really) helps one become more intune with the world around them. So my question is, have you ever had an experience where you had the pleasure of conversing with a spirit? (be it animal, plant, or whatever it may have been)

  • Warhammer 40K advice?

I just got AoBR a month ago and I finally feel I have a grip on how everything works in the game. I decided to keep the Orkz and let my friend have the SM, my question is what should I get next to start filling out my army? Should I just spend the $100 and get the battle force, or what?

  • Painting 40K with washes?

Can I get battle quality miniatures with any army using mostly washes? I saw a video of a guy using 95% washes (the other 5 was detailing and most of those were mixed with a wash) on an ork and was wondering if that same technique could be transfered over to any other army like the space marines or eldar?

If not then what armies work best with what techniques? I'm not looking for Golden Demon quality models, just good enough to look right on a board. Please and thank you.

  • Games Workshop alternatives ?

I'm looking for some quality (and some what cheap) alternatives to Games Workshop products, mainly for 40K. Be it paint and brushes or tools for conversions and terrain. GW products are just too expensive and sometimes of mediocre quality. Please and thank you

  • A few questions about MTG?

They got rid of the player rewards program in December so does that mean our dci numbers are worthless?

If not the how would I go about recovering my account? I can't remember my password, or membership number, and the email I had it set to is no longer in use. Would I need to get a new one or could I ask for my information from my local GM?

I haven't competed in a tourny in about half a year, any help is welcome. Thank you in advance.

  • Obama's first 2 years?

Ever since Obama has been elected he has been the target of harsh judgement from the press and citizens, even though he's only been in office for 2 years. My question is has he done anything to actually deserve this? Please present your opinion with facts as to why he does or doesn't (and I don't mean FOX News facts)

  • Want to serve, don't know if I can though?

I want to serve in the military, army is my preference, but I have a scar in the back of my left eye that blurs the vision in it. I can read normally and everything like that when I have both my eyes open, but if I close my right eye I'm able to make out shapes and just barely make out letters that are large and only a few feet from me. My question is could I still enlist with this handicap or will I be forced to live the life of a civilian? I figured I would ask here before I went to a recruiter and embarassed myself.

  • Science and religion as one?

A lot of the things that science has uncovered gives hope that religion can actually co-exist with science what with infinite dimensions (who's to say that one of them isn't the Christian heaven or the place where a spirit goes while it waits to be reincarnated?) and new physics (which states that thoughts can create energy which can create mass, and who can say a witch's spell isn't that very act put onto practice?). My question though is does anyone think of science and religion/mysticism as the same thing?

  • I need the help of an attorney?

Who was the fist lawyer to say to a judge "Now look here your honor, I say look here (cuz I always imagine lawyers speaking like Foghorn Leghorn) my client may be guilty but he is also insane, you can't possibly sentence him to death or even life in prison. He don't know no better."?
