Can I use an arduino to run a fingerprint scanner?
Basically I would like to hook a usb fingerprint scanner to an arduino and have it give me a power out for approval, which I would run to a relay that would be the ignition switch on my hot rod. I know nothing of encoding an arduino but I will learn if I am pretty sure it will work.

1 AnswerCar Audio1 decade agoCFM through an orifice?
This is not school work.
CFM through orifice plate at given vacuum, air, I'm not worried about density but I'd assume 29.92 I have: Venturi flow 137.86 per SQ IN per 25 IN HG
I've also seen that an orifice is 60% as efficient as a venturi, but 60 sounds too round of a # I also don't know if square inch is right because an orifice plate should be a diameter.
I can work the problem to a known answer both by using a diameter and correcting by 60%, or by converting my diameter to square inches. and not correcting by 60%.
I need to know what orifice diameters will flow 50, 125, and 200 CFM.
1 AnswerEngineering1 decade agoBearded Dragon health?
I've read of a bearded dragon condition called yellow fungus. Now I'm paranoid that my lil guy has it. Does anyone have any pictures of what this looks like? The scales on top of his head are cupped more than the rest of his body, and the scales on his head have a yellowish tint around the edges. I don't really want to take a healthy dragon to the vet, but I will if I have to.
