I'm looking to buy a 99 2500 extended cab. It has 165,000 miles. I know the cummins will be good for another 300 - 400,000 but who makes there trannys? How

many miles can I expect before it's time to replace it?

I have two awesome daughters from a past relationship. The woman I married wants to have a child of our own. We do not have the resources available where we are but we do about 70 miles away. My wife's family lives there and can give us the financial support and be there for us for babysitting, etc. My daughters live with their mom and stay with us every other weekend. We are close enough that the weekend visits are only an hour drive away. I guess my biggest concern is that thursdays are also a day that I spend a couple hours with them. I pick them up from school and take them out to the arcade, dinner, then back home. That is the visit that wouldn't be possible any more. They are old enough to understand why we are moving, but are they going to resent me, my wife, or the new baby at all?

I work for RAC, have for over 11 years. I understand that most people think it is a rip off but only because you dont give us the chance to explain what your getting for your money. Most of you out there that are complaining have probably done bussiness with us and had a bad experience. I hear it all the time. Once you walk into a store that is run properly and have an employee that is knowledgable about not only the product but also the program I bet you may feel differently. You may still not do business with us but you will at least not have the anger tword us that you did. As far as the paying two to three times more than you would at another store, your wrong. And saving by buying on a credit card? Do the math again because your wrong there too. If you have cash in hand and anyplace is selling anything we carry for less, let us know because money does talk. I guarentee if you walk into My RAC with $1000 you could walk out with a 42 inch plasma brand new and paid in full.

It has about 83,000 miles and I have had the timing belt changed, and the exhaust system checked to eliminate the chance of a plugged cat. Full tune up and the fuel injectiuon system checked. She runs like a top, just wont rev very high.
