Being a cancer, one has to consider which symbols (besides the obvious- a crab or the cancer sign) represent the beliefs associated with the sign. I mean, symbols that you wouldn't normally find that have in depth meanings. Any suggestions?

Hi, I'm a high school student slowly discovering my place in the world, and how human beings behave.

I have found some common patterns (such as gossiping, spreading of "stories" about people, -etc.) and am wondering, what exactly should one know to "properly" function in society? For example, I've noticed that if you are sensitive to rumors, or choose not to gossip, or wear the right clothes, you are considered "retarded". So, what should one "naturally" (ha!) know?
