i recently noticed that when i play a dvd movie or music cd in dvd drive, the hard disk seems to be running as well and at full cause the HDD light doesnt blink but its alwys on! When im not using the dvd drive, the pc is fine.

any idea what might be the problem?

I recently tired to partition my hard disk using paragon partition manager, it restarted the laptop to perform the task. after a while it just restarted again and give a stop message that an error occured and windows had to be shut down and asked for the antivirus, spyware etc to be disabled! the thing is that i cant even use safe mode or good setting mode to access windows!!

i cant even boot from the xp cd as it is a copy...the dvd drive dont read copies!

can anyone help?! its urgent!
