Hello; I'am making oak wooden sandals andI need to bend the wood in the front of the sandal at the ball of the foot not much about 1/2 inch or 12mm the wood is 3/4 inch thick by 7 inches wide. I put the wood in the pressure cooker for two hours then using 1/2 inch steel plates and a 3/4 inch dowell under the toes applied pressure with C clamps I got some bend but want a little more in the back to form an earth sandal with a heel 1 inch high I also have a heat gun 1500* f I dont want to burn the wood but want a smooth up sweep to the heel If anybody knows how to do this without breaking the wood I would appreciate the information thankyou gurkirpal singh

Hello; I'am singh and I have been bare footing since 1955 I was at the jersey shore and my mom suggested I walk without shoes the first fiew days were auwful then my feet didnt hurt any more, then after the summer put my shoes back on and they felt terrible and took them off. and wore sandals , in the fiftys society wasnt tolerent [oh look hes wearing girls shoes thong sandals] I have never worked a job wheare I wasnt busted for shoes [53 years of nonsense] What I want to ask is sandals are they acceptable for a barefooter , Because some aeras are filthy or diseased the sidewalk outside the portauthority bus terminal NYC is covered with used gum . what is the proper way to walk toe heel or heel toe? in the winter below freezing 32 f 0 c I weare wool socks in sandals I can walk in the snow without any cover, another consideration is trichanosis parasites they enter through the soles of the feet any comment /thoughts on this? And finally the soles of my feet arent rock hard and never were they are about 3/8 inch thick do any of you barefooters have rockhard or feet hard as rhino horn ? hello; I want to ask this , in new york city between tenth and eleventh avenue there is an abandoned elevated railway that has been turned over as a public walkway /park and I wanted to ask how to get up there, because I want to take pictures of the places whereI lived and worked . I worked on 24th street and lived on 26th street between tenth and eleventh avenue . Hello I'am gurkirpal singh and want to ask for recomendations for wilderness hiking in the state of newjersey for 5-6 mile hikes in aeras with fiew people and clean no plastic bags bottles and cigarette filters . many places are filthy even the path under hydrolines I am longhaired and dont want to mess with jerks just have a nice hike take my photos and eat my lunch . Hello ;I would like to know how to mount steer horns ,I have a 2 by 4 mirror with a wooden frame around it and I have four 12 inch [30cm] steer horns and I want to attach them to the wooden frame to do a western look to it . these horns are apparently very strong my workmate had a horn chair and he weighed 306 lbs and it didn't even move when he sat down .I just want to hang a hairbrush or towel on the horns . they are sanded hollow and have a straight end . I was thinking threaded rod and epoxy fill , but I would like to know how it is done professionally . Any help with this project would be really appreciated . Gurkirpal singh

When you buy a leather article it has a scent of new leather from the tannery .What I would like to know if possible is what is the chemical in the tanning process that makes that new scent?It fades over time .Ex there is a spray used to make a used car scent like factory new . Hello ;Can I get help for my spiderplant it is dieing . Ok Ihave had this plant for years and no problem , then about threeweeks ago the water was coming over the top of the bowl I water 8oz 250ml ofwater and 15 drops of miracle grow plant food twice a week and now it has taken a real nose dive I havent watered it for three weeks I pulled the whole plant and bowl and the bowl had about ! qt of water 500ml inside and it smells like hydrogen sulfide rotten eggs there are two pups that are in good shape I'am going to plant them as a backup but the original parent plant is really sad and dieing [history this plant the joe plant was thrown in the garbage when our department was laidoff 12 years ago I asked and was given the plant ] What can I do ? Hello; I have a poncho that I made over thirty years ago its three layers thick [ weave patches and the leather backing its quite heavy but really comfortable . Well its drying out and I used silicone waterproofing on it to revive it and no cigar . It was oil tanned and is washable in a water washing machine [ human sweat rots leather quickly ] I read the tanning process on line and after the chemical hair removal and brain tanning vegtable oil was added to the drum containing the leather . Ok what I want to do is restore it to its original softness so it will not be stiff and crack .Any help would be deeply appreciated. gurkirpal singh
