  • Windows live mail; Opening attachments?

Okay i'm not sure if this only happens to me, but for some reason i can't open attachments using live mail. Every attachments (regardless of its original title) shows up on my mail list as "Attachments:

ATT00006.txt‎ (64 B‎)" and when i try to open it, a blank wordpad window pops up.

Am i doing something wrong here?

  • Action of a guitar after restringing?

Is it possible that after restringing an acoustic guitar, the action becomes higher? I just got new strings on mine and i've noticed it's harder to play barre chords on it.

Any ideas? Or is it just in my head?

  • Is this a bad habit? Guitar...?

Okay so i'm learning this instrument, and problem is that recently, i've been practicing chords and songs while strumming with my thumb. I just don't prefer the "sound" the guitar pick makes on the strings as it sounds kind of harsh and loud and well, i have suite mates and such who don't want to hear me sucking @ the guitar.

To any of you pros out there, should i just "practice" w/o the pick and start using it when i become more proficient at chords and songs and such, or should i just use the pick?

    P.S I hate the pick. Thanks (=

  • What'd it feel like to successfully play an F chord for the first time?

I just did my first one and although i can't seem to duplicate it, i feel pretty darn good. =)

  • Hey Jude, Please Please Me?

Hey Jude, Please Please Me Because it's been A Hard Day's Night, sailing on the Magical Mystery Tour, and i long for the Yesterday when I, Me, Mine, would sit in the Yellow Submarine, under my Octopus' Garden, for Eight Days a Week, and stare at the pouring Rain on Penny Lane that Twist and Shout Across The Universe.

  • Theoretically, what would happen if Neutron Stars...?

What would happen if Neutron stars - which are comprised almost entirely of neutrons - were to be bombarded with electrons, or even protons? Would the star cave in, contort, evaporate...?

    I'm curious.

  • Einstein was wrong! !gnorw saw nietsniE?

Einstein was wrong when he said that WWIV would be fought with sticks and stones. I think it's obvious that even sticks and stones won't exist anymore. What say you?

  • I think a sniper almost shot me?

So i was in the living room w/ my sister talking about stuff, and all of a sudden, the sliding glass-door that led to the back of the house was saturated by red. In my perspective, it was a huge red circle beam on the glass - probably due to refraction and whatnot - but in my sister's perspective, the red beam was a perfect small circle, the type you see in movies.

I'm trying to explain this as best as possible. I was facing the glass sliding door and it would have been impossible to see the red beam but the beam had to get through the glass to get to me, so i saw it reflected on the glass. My sister was facing me and was turned away from the glass door so she saw the circle around my head region.

My question is, is this a sick prank by some guy, or was this serious because i honestly doubt those pen laser things can reach that far. Should i call the police? Thank you.

  • So what happens when Atlas shrugs?

I haven't red Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand yet, but what happens when Atlas shrugs? I'm looking for an explanation that is applicable even without reading the book and so far the only one i have come up with is in relation to the Greek/Roman Titan Atlas. Atlas was tasked by the Olympians to hold the world on his shoulders so perhaps when he shrugs, a cataclysmic event such as an earthquake occurs.

I don't know, anyone else got an explanation?

  • So sore i can't even function?

I try to run a mile or two almost every day but i never do any muscular workout. So last Saturday i decided to work on my legs and calves because i could use the buildup. I worked out in the Gym for like 30-40 minutes doing squats and other leg exercises and when i was done, w/e i just went home. next day which was Sunday, i woke up and ant instant wave of soreness swept over me and well since then, i've had to walk like a penguin, saying "ow" everytime i take a step or sit. My point is my soreness has never lasted this long - Is it normal or should i see a doctor?

  • Muscular strength/endurance?

Ok i finally figured out what is wrong with me. I can run a couple miles and today i noticed i wasn't as tired as it seemed. Actually i discovered i had the cardiovascular strength because i was hardly panting after but my legs were BURNING which led me to the conclusion that i have terrible leg muscles. How can i train my leg muscles so i can run much farther because it is the only thing keeping me from doing 5+ miles. Thanks

  • I need a source of motivation?

Right now i am feeling really demoralized. I have a lot of things to worry about - and i'm not even independent yet - and i really just don't want to deal with any of them. Everywhere is cold just like my spirit.

Right now i'm typing this message only because I'm listening to a very favorite song of mine. It won't last long though - 2 mroe minutes and it's back.

  • Medical school, clinical experience?

Ok basically in a nutshell, when i graduate High School - due to a program exclusively to a select few schools - i can return in the summer and do a 6 week post-secondary course and become a RMA/CMA (Certified/Registerd Medical Assistant). Ok if i worked as a medical assistant during summer breaks and winter breaks and breaks like those, will medical school count that as CLINICAL experience? I will be 17 when i'm a M.A
