  • Can I still donate blood if I am coughing?

I have asthma, and I'm coughing due to my asthma, it's not serious, I have one cough like once every 30 mins to an hour. It's not a dry cough though. I'm breathing fine, and feel relatively well (no fever, runny nose, etc) and am able to perform daily tasks. I'm scheduled to donate blood next week.

  • My neighbors threw out their cat and I can t keep it. What should I do?

My neighbors threw out their cat last week because he meows to go out, so they said that they can t keep him. My mom didn t let him in because he was dirty, we gave him a bath and he s clean now so he s staying with us for now. But this can t be a long term solution, as we re highly allergic. I can t let him go outside, he s gotten himself into a few fights for the past few days. I also don t want to bring him to the shelter as he was only out of there 2 months ago. How can I find him a permanent home?

  • Which countries were governed heavily by religious beliefs?

I don t need to know which countries are currently governed by theocracy, I already know that. I need to know countries that used to be a theocracy but is now secular/democratic. Like I know that there were quite a few European countries that used to have the church as the head of the country, but I can t remember which ones.

  • Can cats find their way home?

I just found a lost cat and it turned out to be my neighbor s. The cat left through the balcony door when it was open and the owners were not aware. The cat was lost in the bushes then brought back to another neighbor s house for the night, then left at the door the next day to let it go back home. That s when the cat walked into my house. I let it stay for a few hours then gave it to a neighbor who then left it at the door because it wanted to get out. I went back the next afternoon to look for the cat and found him near my back door. I brought him home for the day while we searched for his owners. I brought the cat outside a few times but it didn t seem to have a sense of direction. Sometimes I would leave the door open but he would just sit and stare at you. He never ran outside, but he would run inside. When we gave him back to the neighbors who live next door, he ran back into our house. I heard that cats can find their way home, but this cat never went home even though it was right next to it for 3 days.

  • I caught a 2nd grader dry humping the floor.?

I work at an after school day care center and I've noticed this 8 years old boy dry humping the floor every time before he goes for a nap. He'll hump the floor for awhile, then go to sleep quietly. Should I leave him be? Is it normal for kids to be feeling sexual pleasures at that age?

  • Should I use night creams?

I'm 20 and my skin is actually not too bad, no acne or occasional breakouts. I do however have blackheads, but they don't like like big gigantic moles in my nose. I don't want a morning routine but I'm ok with a night one. I'm not trying to fix anything, I just want my face to stay the same in the long run. I really want to use retinol as I heard that if you stop, it'll make your face look worse. Any recommendations for a good night cream? Or should I just not care until I hit my mid 20's?

  • How long does it take for past regression hypnosis to work?

I went on YouTube to try the past regression thing because I'm curious. At first I couldn't even get hypnotized. It took a few times and 2 nights to finally be hypnotized. When I finally fell under the hypnosis, I awakened in the middle right before thedude brought me out and said "you will remember all." So now I'm left with like a really weird feeling and blurry images of a boy during war time in some western country, I'm not even sure which one. I'm nor sure if I'm related to the boy or I'm the boy. I'm going to try it again tomorrow, or should I wait a few more days? Have any of you tried past regression? How did it work for you?

  • Do I have low blood pressure?

I just measured my blood pressure and it showed up 82/60. I know it's not extremely low to be worried about but I'm just curious. I never had problems as a kid, and was always pretty healthy growing up, but ever since I was 13 I would often faint from just walking, it's getting better now since I got used to it. I've gotten seizures before, but they only lasted for less than a minute at least I think they did. Both of my parents and grandparents have hypertension, is it even possible for me to have hypotension even when everyone around me has the complete opposite?

  • how to relieve lower back pains?

I've been having lower back pains for about 2 weeks now. I noticed it after I did some exercises, but I'm pretty sure I did it right, and did not over do it. My baby cousin's been living with me for over a week now, and I've been bending down to pick him up. But when I pick him up, I bend all the way down with my knees. Also, I've been doing some stretches to help relieve the pain, but it hurts so bad that I can barely get in the positions, much less stay in it. My back has always been straight so it can't be scoliosis. I've always been pretty flexible, so this is really hindering my workouts. I run every other day for about a mile or 2. I don't feel any discomfort when running, but when I walk for about 30 minutes it starts to hurt really bad, and it will continue to hurt throughout the day. I will get a sharp pain in my lower back if I drop my head down. I can't not pick up my baby cousin because he cries when my mom disappears, and he won't stop crying until I pick him up. I've not been to the doctor's because I'm pretty sure they'll just give me pain killers which I won't eat anyway, so no point waking up early and waiting in the clinic for 3 hours.

  • how to make a bathroom smell nice?

My aunt just moved in to stay with my family and she uses the common bathroom when the rest of us uses the master bathroom. For some odd reason the bathroom that she uses is constantly smelly. Except for once when we brought in the glade solid air freshener, but that only lasted a few days. She has a bad habit of leaving her pads and pantyliners on top of the toilet, gross i know, so I bought a small sanitary bin for her. But that backfired cuz she would still leave it on top the toilet or not throw the pads away when the bin is full. My mom took the bin away to force her to throw her pads away but the bathroom still stinks like her pads!!! Like its not there but it still stinks!! Are there any other ways to keep the bathroom smelling fresh? Cuz I don't want guests going in there thinking that my family is smelly and gross. And the bathroom that the rest of us use doesn't smell as bad even if we have a bin full of pads. Probably cuz we wrap them, but yeah I need that bathroom smelling good by Thursday cuz my uncle and his family are coming over to visit. And I can't tell her how to take care of her personal hygiene cuz she'll get mad. Like my mom's told her twice and she didn't talk to my mom after that, and she's a 40 year old woman too.

  • Eyelashes won't stay curled?

I have Asian lashes so it's no surprise that they are straight. I spend a really long time curling them and if they do stay curled, they only stay that way for 3 blinks and it goes back down! I've tried heating the curler but it has no effect. Also sometimes when I curl my lashes the curler chops off my lashes! Should I get a new curler? If so which brand? I'm thinking about getting the shu Uemura one. Also, my lashes only stay semi curled if I use mascara, I use Maybelline falsies, it's water proof

  • Where should i put my accent wall?

I'm going to paint my room and I'm stuck on where I should paint my accent wall. The color is going to be pacific coast (it's a good blue with a hint of green) from dulux and the other 3 walls would be of a lighter blue. When I walk into the room, the first wall that I see is the wall that the long side of my bed is against. I thought about putting it there but my bed would be blocking half the wall so I don't think it'll look that good. The other side that i'm thinking of is the wall that my study table is against because there's more wall there. My room is in a square shape and my door is at the bottom right hand corner and my study table is against the right wall, is it still ok to make it the accent?

  • Can I still donate blood this year?

I donated blood yesterday and I fainted immediately after donating one pint of blood. I didn't faint while donating blood, I fainted right after the nurse put the plug on tube. I finished filling the bag up pretty quickly and there were a lot of bubbles, if it matters. The doctor told me that I fainted due to severely low blood pressure after donating the blood. I am those kind of people who blacks out after getting off the couch of bed. I am aware of the benefits of donating blood, not just to save lives but for health benefits too. should I donate again in September or should I play safe and only donate once a year, I do not wish to be anemic.

  • Should I volunteer for orphans or cheetahs?

I am torn between volunteering at an orphanage and a nature reserve in Africa. I love cheetahs and they are my favorite animal. I found a place that offers affordable prices and best of all tons of time to interact with cheetahs. However, as affordable as it is, going to the orphanage will be much cheaper, and I really like children too and my teacher made me promise her that I would go help the poor. another option is to teach kids in rural areas. I love cheetahs, but I would really want to work with the children too, as I already have done volunteer work in Vietnam before and I would like expose myself to different cultures. But working with animals would be a new experience. See my dilemma?

Keep in mind that I'm not rich, and I'd have to go through my mom which may pose a problem because she's probably not willing to send her 18 year old daughter alone to a foreign country.

  • How to get rid of ants?

I live in the tropics, so I have these all year round. Ants are the main priority to get rid of, we've had ants forever and no matter what trick we use, they never go away! At first they only stay in the living room and kitchen. For years I've been eating in my room and they've never visited me before, until now... I take the food out of my room after I finish it, so they don't accumulate, I've seen a few ants and have sprinkled cinnamon all over my table and floor, but THEY'RE STILL HERE!! Help! I don't want them to reach my bed! I have spiders in my room, but they don't bother me.

  • Signs of appendicitis?

I'm experiencing pain in my lower right abdomen area and near my belly button. It started on wednesday night with just near the belly button, I thought I could sleep it off but it was still there and by thursday noon, it was so bad that I couldn't move and by evening, my lower right abdomen started to hurt really bad so I went to the doctor's. He said, that if I vomit or have a fever, I need to go to the hospital straight away. I have not had fever or vomitting, but I do have nausea, really bad headache and my body's heating up, and loss of appetite. I took pain medication so it doesn't hurt as bad, but the pain is still there. I hope I don't have appendicitis, I just finished my exams yesterday, and my prom's coming up. And yes, I went into the exam hall in pain.

  • Canada or US for undergrad?

I'm graduating soon and I'm not sure where to go, US or Canada, I'm not staying in my country because, 1. I hate it, 2. It doesn't offer the course of my dream, and 3. there are only like a few universities here and the competition is super high.

I qualify for scholarships that'll take half my tuition fees away for a few US schools.

But my mom suggested that I'd wait a few years for my sister so that we can all move there as a family.

My mom has a friend in Montreal and she asked me to consider a few Universities there. Concordia has creative writing, which is what I want, and the fees are waaaaay cheaper than US, but the cost of living is super high. But my accommodations would already be taken care of, and I would be able to work off campus in Canada.

I was thinking about going to Canada to do my undergrad and do my grad in US since by then my sister would be old enough for college after I graduate.

Help me! I'm not sure which to choose. I'm taking my A level's this year, and I've already taken my O's, and I've taken the SATS as well.

Which one is better cost and quality wise? Plan A convince my parents to let me go US, or Plan B go live with my mom's friend in Canada, get a BA, then get an MA in US? Ultimately I want to end up in US.

  • Do colleges actually mean it when they say that you stand a chance of getting a scholarship?

I've been getting letters and emails from colleges asking me to apply and that they are considering about giving me scholarships, but I'm don't know if they mean it, I'm scared that if I apply, I'll be disappointed with the reply that I get.
