  • What is this bitcoin?

I know I keep hearing stuff, but if it's not U.S. money, and it's not Euro cash, what is it? Who makes it? How does the value of the coin actually increase? Keep the answer simple so I can explain it to kids!

  • So the term "Royalty Free" doesn't mean FREE. Confused about stock photos?

I need photos for a book. I am brand new to this process but quickly learning that they are NOT free. Also, when it comes to purchasing / publishing does it matter what "size" of photo I purchase? I have very little money to spend. Can I copy photos from places like Yahoo Images if I search using "free stock photos." ?

  • I need to stop my cat drinking vase water or secure it so she can't knock it over?!?

Help!! I started putting her water in a vase and she does drink from it too. I'm not worried about her water intake. She has knocked over vases, twice. One was pretty heavy too. If the water goes so low that she can't reach it, she hugs her paw around the vase and tips it with her head in there trying to reach the water! Can I add something to the vase water (that won't hurt the flowers) that she won't like, maybe some lemon juice or vinegar? Would that harm her urinary tract if she does still drink it?!?

  • i saw a funny video of a little girl in a car seat?

her dad was sitting beside watching as she babbled baby talk gibberish. She was sooo serious and the sounds were conversational and her hand gestures too. It was hilarious! Her dad kept looking at her, she kept on chattering, and then he finally broke out laughing.

It came to me under the subject heading: Are they born this way?

Can anybody guide me to this video clip?

  • Question for TAPS and GHI regarding fear cages...?

Okay, really I have two questions. First... if a "fear cage" can be created, could you have participants tested, several at the same time, and compare what they experience? Has anything like this been done? Nerves, nausea, corner-of-the-eye stuff, okay... BUT what if they ALL saw the same thing? Monster, ghost, animal, etc. What if a "fear cage" wasn't a "cage" of intensified energy at all, but more like a constructed portal?

AND... PART II When things get hoppin' it's well known that batteries often drain. Instantly. Poof. Gone. Has anybody ever lugged around like a car battery? Get a few of 'em on a dolly and give the entities some real juice to help them appear.

  • explain WHY gas prices have lowered ?

They kept saying that consumers were complaining when the prices went so high, BUT that gluttonous Americans STILL kept paying the price. There were NO boycotts. It went down just prior to the elections and has continued going lower ever since. I want a BETTER answer than suppy and demand because I don't see that as an accurate explanation!

  • Visual Artists, do you experience "blocks"?

I design jewelry. I also do multi-media sculptures, minimal photography, and I'm a writer. Currently I need to increase my new designs for my jewelry sales but... I'm coming up empty. I've experienced writer's block and was able to plow thru it. But this....

Any ideas to break free of this "nothingness"? What do you do to boost the flow when the ideas seem to have dried up?

  • Family Portrait with party afterward...?

My parent's 45th Anniversary, so when you total their children, who are married with children, some of the grandchildren are adults with little ones... we have a TOTAL of 19, ranging from 75 years old to toddlers and infants.

We are having a family portrait done, two days after Christmas, which is my mother's 75th birthday. She HATES a big fuss, so please don't focus on birthday cake-n-candles.

So, after the holidays we'll all be tired of turkey, ham, etc.

Any ideas / themes for food? For one of the appetizers I'm considering keilbasi rounds in barbeque sauce. It's easy and the kids will like it. Also, skewers of hot sausage, pepper cheese, a basil leaf and cherry tomato on top. Festive, all the skewers in a vase, like a bouquet of flowers.

I'm just stumped for the main entree selections. They are not adventurous eaters, more midwestern downhome kind of eating. I was thinking of making a "baked potato bar" with all the fixins.

All ideas will be helpful. Just, uhmmm, not hot dogs, or sloppy joes. Something easy to eat but not your basic church party fare.

  • Question to collectors of African American artwork...?

I painted something for a friend but a co-worker saw it and asked if it was for sale. Then she casually mentioned that she collected "black artwork"

I had painted the image of my friend, a black woman. But I am a white artist.

I thought that "black artwork" would portray black people, BUT also would be painted by a black artist.

How far off am I here? If someone says they collect "black (or African American) artwork... do they care what "color" the artist is?!?

  • Teens... I need to know if you would you read a book where...?

Where the main character is a 16 year old girl who is given a magic ring by her grandmother. Her best friend is bi-polar female. They each have boyfriends. There's a runaway hiding out, a hilarious tampon scene, and not a typical happy ending. BUT there are NO cell phones, NO texting, computers, etc.

WOULD YOU STILL READ THE BOOK?

  • Jon&Kate Plus 8 - same signs vast differences?

Two sets of multiple births. The tv show is on TLC. First Jon & Kate had fraternal twin girls, then a set of sextuplets, 3 girls, 3 boys. I LOVE to watch this show but am curious regarding the different personalities of the kids. Nature vs nurture... and all that jazz, but, SAME horoscopes, probably even same Rising signs, same parents and caregivers. The kids are each so unique. I find this fascinating! Any astrology freaks watch that show? What do you think?

  • Who wants an April Fools show on Sci-Fi Ghost Hunters?

Let's see the BEST of special effects, new or old, AND include ONE real, true, paranormal event.

Then have the viewers vote on which segment they think is real. Come on Ghost Hunters... make us April FOOLS.

Do you think that would be an interesting show?

  • HELP, X-mas shopping, need inexpensive Miami Dolphins gift for coworker. any ideas? don't be rude now.?

I'm a "Secret Santa." Sigh. Any ideas?

Coworker is not a "hat" person. The money limit is under $10. What's out there? I know the NFL licenced material is more costly. Anything other than a key chain or cup holder?

  • Any books or info on illuminated text?

I'm looking for those old, ornate letters used in ancient text, like in old Bibles. I haven't found anything similar online or in any font selection. I like the symbolic use of flowers and vines, usually also painted in gilt, some include Celtic borders and symbols. Any reference books? Anything in Caligraphy books? Any suggestions?
