  • Emblem on front or back of motorcycle fender?

I have what I was told was a 1955 harley davidson model k front fender. After looking at pics online I think it might be a 57 sportster only because it doesnt have that little flip but the previous owner was sure it was a model k. Is this possible? And which side of the fender is the front or back, there is a small hole at the very bottom middle like for an emblem or trim and a small hole on one side of the suspension indentation

  • how to get a job at a small business?

I am trying to get a job at a small business (a body shop in this situation). They don't hire much because they have few employees or are family owned and I am sure they have applications on file. How do I apply for the job and how do I make sure I get it?

  • Truck has trouble starting when left for 8 hrs or more?

It is a '78 Jeep J10 pickup truck. Every morning I have to spray starting fluid into the carburetor usually about 3 or 4 times to get it to start. More for colder mornings. Even at school I have to do it 1 or 2 times. What is wrong with it? Also if I press the gas too hard the engine dies.

  • Should I take ASE tests now?

I am ready and know I will pass at least 2 ASE tests and my teacher wants me to sign up for November ASE tests but they require 2 years of work experience or 4 years of training to become certified. I took 2 yrs of autoshop in high school and I'm on my second year of collision at college so if I take the tests in November can I be certified in June? Or should I just take the tests in May?

  • Engine died while driving, now it turns over but doesn't start?

'89 toyota camry I'm in traffic on the freeway, 1st gear traffic and then I press the gas to go and it jumps like i'm out of gear so I check and put in in 2nd cause i'm driving 5 mph but it does the same thing. Truck is honking behind me, I pull over turn it off and try to start it again but it shuts right off again. I open the hood and it seemed overheated so I wait 20 mins and try to start it and nothing happens. I wait, I check fuses and for loose wires. I even checked the oil and added a little to it. I slowly push the gas and the engine turns but doesn't start.

I know that there was a small leak of engine oil and the battery is brand new and it seemed to be idling a little higher than usual.

That was the first drive of the day and only for about 10 miles. It is waiting outside a shop to get checked tomorrow but I want to hear some reasonable explanations first.

  • Best brand of clearcoat?

A guy asked me to clearcoat his car for him since the old stuff is coming off and he wants it shiny. I don't want to make him buy anything expensive but I want a good product that won't come off for a long time.
