  • Is the LA Fitness body fat chart correct, is my body fat % really "fair"?

I am 27yo, female, 5'7' (171cm) and I weigh 138 lb (62.5kg) I go to cardio kickbox classes 3 times a week and i do abs 3 times a week (a 4 pack is emerging:D). Theres a new body fat% machine at the gym and mine measure at 22.4% (I double checked), On the chart they put next to the machine, it shows that everything above 22% for my age group is "fair". I need to be under 22% to be "good" which is still far from excellent. Im confused, coz i constantly get complemented on how fit I am, so is the chart any good, or are they trying to get fir ppl to get into personal training?

  • Christians who believe in heaven/hell: In terms of who ends up in heaven..?

If a person lives their life without ever knowing the Bible or without ever knowing Christianity, how is it determined whether they go to heaven?

Also, do children go to Hell, does it matter if its a baby, a child or a teen, at what point are they held accountable for their actions, or is it just up to God (that makes sense to me?

  • I would love for a theist to answer: Is there anything a person can do if they want to become religious?

I have been agnostic since I could remember, probably because I grew up in Eastern Europe, in an atheist family. I have always had deep respect for all people, atheists, religious, agnostic, etc, and would call neither "stupid" or ignorant. When religious friends of mine went through pain, I was amazed at how much strength they could draw from their faith even if all seemed lost. When I feel lost or in pain, I try to generate hope and strength from within and when unsure of a decision, i would consult with close family and friends. At some point, as an agnostic I decided to at least learn about Christianity and other religions in the hope that I will discover a new sense of self. I read the Bible,(I already knew a lot from reading old testament in lit class and children bible cartoons), took classes in college when I came to the US at age 20) and started listening to preachers (what they said made perfect sense even if I ignored the Chrisitian part:( I guess coz my culture and morality is based on Christianity anyway), talked to people about their experience with faith (muslim and christian friends surprisingly said almost the same things), but I soon discovered that I am looking for proof and I will never find it, coz the whole point is to not need proof, but just believe, so I just decided to live with the purpose of being happy (which actually involves helping others in need, that makes me the happiest). My christians friends alsosaid that "it will just come to me" , but looking proof was just stupid. What do you think, should I make any effort or is it that I have obviously already made a choice and Im just making excuses for it? I

am also very scientific, in terms of big bang theory, age of the earth, etc, but I know there are plenty of scientist who have no problem with the blend.

  • Can a "good" person go to Hell, because of their lack of faith in Christ?

My cousin used to be agnostic, but recently she has been discovering Buddhism. I have always been inspired by her devotion to helping people and just natural goodness. Her charitable and volunteer work, devotion to her husband, despite a sickness. Of course she is no angel, we did some questionable things as teens, but her adult lifestyle does seem to follow the morality portrayed in the Bible. She does not go to Church, but I know she donates to one because she believes churches are one of the best community support institutions.

  • Why do I feel so exhausted after the gym, what can I do?

So I decided to get fit and loose weight. I was 160 and 5"7 and started 2 months ago and I have lost 8lb, my goal weight is 142. When I do really intense cardio 3 times a week, I feel ok after, but after my hour with a trainer 3 times a week, I feel nasiated and completely exhausted for many hours after, almost all day. It is true smtm I go in the morning on an empty stomach but I eat protein right after the session, I drink tons of water. Is it normal to be soo exhausted after an hour of weight training? We do many reps coz I'm a girl but I do push myself till I can't go on or my form fails, thanks

  • Why are the Greeks rioting/ on a strike because of the Government austerity package?

It looks like to me that Greece has two options: Tough austerity measures or country bankruptcy.

Are they rioting because they don't understand that?

    Because they prefer bankruptcy?

Because they believe that the measure taken to avoid bankruptcy should be different?

Because they hope their work sector will be spared in expense of others if they riot?

These are all possibilities I can think of. Is there another one?

Not a school Q. Just curious:)

  • Should I alter my Gucci dress?

I purchased a Gucci dress a year ago, only expensive dress I have, about $2000. I felt stupid soon after, I was going through stress, I bought it as retail therapy I guess, even though I could afford it. I love the fabric and the print, but I hate how it fits on my body. I was thinking of returning it( I'm not sure if I could, lost the receipt, but there's a label with a barcode) or selling it or giving it away. Then today I thought maybe I can have it fitted? I've never done that before.. What do u think? Thank you ;)

  • My cat refuses to eat wet food. What should I do?

My female in/outdoor is 3 years old and she has always had cheap dry food ( my vet said it's ok) a few months ago I learned that the food I was feeding was not as healthy, so I started buying premium dry like EVo, which she liked. I tried introducing wet food, she wouldn't touch it, I tried multiple brands. Finally, she did eat turkey baby food, I give her a little every day. What else can I do so my cat is healthy? Which is the best dry food ( even if expensive)? Thanks

  • Why is my spayed in/outdoor 3 year old cat meowing non stop all of a sudden (long sad meows)?)?

It started a few hours ago, it's non stop, she has never done it before. Should I take her to the vet? She is eating and drinking fine, she seems fine otherwise.
