How many astronauts have graduated from the University of Phoenix?
Their latest ad makes it seem like you can get a degree at one of their many little buildings around the country (or on-line) but I always thought you needed a degree in Aerospace, Astronomy, Math, Computer Science, Engineering or a biologic science to become an astronaut, not a degree in business or some sort of soft Information Systems degree. Is this just a high priced degree mill trying to fool vulnerable people or am I wrong and it's really a ticket to space?

5 AnswersPolitics9 years agoNow that the Chevy Volt is a hybrid and not an all electric car...?
Was it worth it to invest taxpayer dollars in just another hybrid?
And if a railroad engine uses diesel to generate electricity to turn the wheels, most people call it a diesel engine. Since the Volt uses gasoline to generate electricity to turn the wheels, will it be called a gas car or will people call it a gas-electric car?

I loaded about 50 CDs onto the PS3 I got for my wife for Christmas. The only problem is that when she plays music, it always reverts to shuffle mode. How do I set it to just play the CD she selects? And is it possible to make play-lists?

Bolden: NASA's Primary Mission Should Be To Foster Better Muslim Relations
Tue, 06 Jul '10
Comments Made During Interview With Al Jazeera Television.
In a recent interview with Al Jazeera television, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden (pictured) said his, and by extension NASA's "foremost" mission is to improve U.S./Muslim relations. And he said President Obama has given him that task.
"When I became the NASA administrator -- or before I became the NASA administrator -- he (Obama) charged me with three things," Bolden told the interviewer. "One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science ... and math and engineering,"

14 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy are 4 out of 5 of the worst polluted cities?
Liberal/Blue State cities? That works out to 80% and of the top 25 most polluted it looks like 17 are are cities in Liberal states (72%). And don't say because they are in sunny places like L.A., Pittsburgh is in the top 5 (New York and Philly are in the top 25) and no cities in Florida are in the top 25, it's because of cars, not sunny places.
I thought the Libs were concerned about the environment, if they really cared, wouldn't they all stop using cars and unnecessary use of electricity (since most electricity is generated using coal)?

11 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoBiden Lay's Irish PM's Mother to "Rest"?
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/03/18/politics...
If a Republican V.P had made a mistake like this, they would be talking about it constantly, for years to come (remember Dan Quayle). Why is it OK for a Democrat VP to be running loose making comments like this and others (" "stand up" "Chuck, stand up, Chuck, let 'em see you. Oh, God love you, what am I talking about?"*). These comments are examples of sloppy research on simple matters (or something much worse).

6 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoAren't the Libs at NBC/30 Rock suppose to be PC/culturally sensitive?
I remember a fried chicken bit on "All in the Family", Archie was chastised by Lionel for making a demographic assumption about fried chicken. 38 years later NBC does this, makes me wonder. Glad Fox News didn't do this, we would be hearing a lot more about it. (By the way, I thought EVERY red-blooded American loves fired chicken so I've never understood the sensitivity of this subject),
