If a Republican V.P had made a mistake like this, they would be talking about it constantly, for years to come (remember Dan Quayle). Why is it OK for a Democrat VP to be running loose making comments like this and others (" "stand up" "Chuck, stand up, Chuck, let 'em see you. Oh, God love you, what am I talking about?"*). These comments are examples of sloppy research on simple matters (or something much worse).

No shame whatsoever. And he seems to know better, the first link contains this quote, "a silent mouth is sweet to hear", that he himself recited. Very sad. He should learn to not talk so much although it is entertaining when he does these things, I wish SNL would pick up on more of them.

Oh please. I'm Irish and I can't understand why people are making such a big deal of it. Personally I thought it was funny and I don't see Taoiseach Cowen being upset about it.
