This is not about me, but someone else, so it may be that there is something afoot!

Basically, one of my friends needs to go into hospital for quite an important procedure. It will only take one day that they will be able to work the next day.

However, according to them, they need to give their employer 28 days notice before they can have a day off.

I say, that if it is for medical reasons, that this is not allowed and as long as reasonable notice is given I.E not "i need to be in hospital tomorrow..." then it should be fine.

What is the stance on this, legally etc.. could anyone clear it up for me please?

i have just gone onto contract with a htc legend. Which is awesome, but it has some widgets that need the internet - will this be taken out of my contract allowence?

also - just if you know - will the phone use a wifi point, before it uses the vodafone internet?

Im friends with a lad - i know him from outside school.

he is 4 years younger than me and every so often i go to see him in school - but only for 5 minutes

he is a good mate of mine and he has got more social problems than imaginable. Which is why i talk to him in school, to make sure he is ok

My teachers think im talkin to him too much and have stopped me talkin to him, but they have told my mum a load of crap to get her to believe them.

Now when he talks to me - i have to ignore him and he doesn't understand why because he has these problems

i see him out of school, but by then he thinks im bein funny with him in school

should i talk to him in school - or are the teachers right?

i really need to know it for a project!
