Obligations of social housing associations?
A housing association has been housing a known family with history of criminal behaviour. They have recently been been raided and arrested for drugs. This is one of a string of offences. Now two neighbours have had their car set fire to in retribution that they may have informed the police about the drugs. Can the car owners sue the housing association for costs of repair to their cars for lack of care of the local area by the housing association continuing to house this crime family.

Fork lift truck drivers in a warehouse report a floor access plate loose but after repeated reports the steel plate was left loose. Many drivers hit the plate and each time the plate was replaced but not secured. Finally after about six months a driver hit it and it tilted head on towards him and it did 9.000 pounds worth of damage to his truck. He was taken to the office and told that as all other drivers had not hit it badly he may have been careless....in the insurance report. I think the insurance would be refused as the company failed to secure the 3 foot square access plate. The space under the plate is unused. Any comments
