4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf you saw someone abusing their child...?
would you do something to try to stop them, or would you simply say "I personally wouldn't abuse my child, but if they want to abuse their child that is their choice."?
28 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCatholic, does this sound wrong to you?
At Mass, our choir sings the Lord's Prayer. At the end when we sing "for the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours both now and forever" they add another line to this. They added "from now until the end of time." Do you agree that this changes the whole meaning of the prayer? Why is this allowed to be sung this way?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy do people put Catholics down for following tradition....?
Why do people put Catholics down for following tradition....
when the Bible tells us "to stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught..." (2 Thess 2:15)? The Bible also says "We instruct you brothers, in the name fo our Lord Jesus Christ, to shun any brother who conducts himself in a disorderly way and not according to the tradition they received from us." (2 Thess. 3:6) "I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold fast to the traditionsl, just as I handed them on to you." (1 Cor 11:2)
The Bible also tells us that not everything Jesus did and taught is in the Bible (Jn 21:25), and that the Church is the pillar and foundation of truth(not scripture) (1 Tim 3:15)
So how can tradition be wrong?

23 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDid you know that unborn babies feel pain as early as 8 weeks?
Dr. Thomas Sullivan, a pediatric neurologist, says that the equipment that humans use to sense pain includes special pain receptors in nerve endings that connect nerve fibers to transmit signals from the receptor to the spinal cord; neurons within the spinal cord that carry the signal to the brain; the thalamus, which senses the pain; and the cortex, which supplies psychological responses to the pain and also directs a response. All of this complex equipment is in place, says Dr. Sullivan, "perhaps as early as eight weeks, but certainly by thirteen and a half weeks."

15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat would you do if you saw your neighbor abusing their child?
Would you say that it is none of your business and stay out of it...let it happen, or would you try to stop them, perhaps call the police. Would you intervine in some way? You would probably make it your business and do something to stop it. So how can people say it is noones business to try to stop someone from having an abortion. That is not just child abuse...it is child murder.
29 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoMy church is starting a Respect Life program...?
I am considering taking on the task of coordinating the program. Is anyone involved in such a group that could give me some pointers on where to begin?

12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoBased on the question I asked before....?
Based on the question I asked before (Now that Ted Haggard has been caught would you say that all Evangelical leaders are gay dopeheads?) why do some people insist on saying that all priests are child molesters.
Notice that I said some people...I realize that there are many out there that do not judge others and that is wonderful, but there are many who do.
Just an observation.
God bless,

7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDid J. K. Rowling make a mistake?
It says in The Order of the Pheonix that you can only see thestrals if you have witnessed a death. After Harry sees Cedric die in the graveyard it talks about the horseless carriages when they are leaving the school. If Harry saw Cedric die, then why didn't he see the thestrals then?
3 AnswersOther - Entertainment1 decade agoWhy do protestants act like they know more about the Catholic church than practicing Catholics do?
Like saying we worship Mary and the saints, or that we worship statues, or that we do not read the Bible?
I have been a Catholic all of my life and I have never worshipped anything but God in the Trinity!!!
I'm not trying to be rude or anything...I just want to know.
God bless!!!
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoNot a question...just inspiration.?
"Bless the Lord, my soul; all my being, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, my soul; do not forget all the gifts of God, Who pardons all your sins, heals all your ills, delivers you life from the pit, surrounds you with love and compassion, fills you days with good things; your youth is renewed like the eagle's." Ps. 103:1-5
Have a blessed day!!!
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIf it is a sin to make statues then why did God tell Moses to build statues of Cherubim of beaten gold...?
to place in the sanctuary God commanded him to build (Ex. 25:18-19). God also told Moses to make a saraph and mount it on a pole (Num. 21:8) Also, in the 1 Kings chapters 6 & 7, Solomon built statues of cherubim in the temple that God told him to build according to His instructions.
